Rumor has it that some U.N. senators have ties to both the Soshiki and PWAB, as does Faust. This is supposedly info from BaHG novel. Oh and in case it wasn't obvious, PWAB implanted the Kinjuu in Zato-1 and Millia, and seem to have ties to Old Zepp according to Night of Knives info on Kinjuu data. Lastly it seems turnabout is occuring, Venom and Slayer have plans to dismantle PWAB with Soshiki's resources.

This question is simed at Suzaku...where exactly is it implied that Aria is Justice, as stated before, I listed possible evidences with Valentine being the link, but there's nothing directly said.

Answers:

1. Sol is left-handed, Ky is right-handed. This has been determined from official art mostly, but I think Sol's was mentioned in an interview at some point. You can also tell from their game sprites when you have them in the default (player 1) position.

yep. that's how they hold their weapons on their GG2 models.

Apart from the Valentine stuff, it's also implied in Sol's ending in the original Guilty Gea, with the whole, "the three of them should get together and talk again" stuff. Also, it just generally makes the most sense.

And yes, of course nothing's directly said. That's the whole point of something being implied.

I have heard that 'That Man' has three servants working under him from around the forums and as suggested in one of Sol Badguy's endings in Guilty Gear X. I know of I-no and Raven, but who is the third? Was he mentioned at all or is he (she?) still some shadowy figure?

It's the Pope.

Reidureyu, if you don't mind, try not to answer posts with made up terms and nicknames, this really isn't supposed to be a humor thread.

It's obvious she was in love with him, but did Zato share her feelings? All information seems pretty vague. It is implied that Millia and Zato may have been romantically involved though. Also, Millia may have been jealous about Venom all this time. When Zato got him into the Assassins Guild, Venom was about 11 years or something like that, wasn't he? As he's a lot older when all of this happened, Millia must have met him earlier, and she also must have noticed how Zato's and Venoms relationship grew deeper by the time. Is there any official info out there about these three?

In response to this question, first and foremost what we know is that only Zato-1 has a known birthdate (Jan 28), Millia and Venom were both orphans raised alongside him, or possibly by him, so their birthdates are unknown, including their ages.

In Venom's GGX profile, it states he was spared from being killed and allowed to stay at Zato-1's side and become his servant. Millia and Zato-1 go further back however, and their semi-fraternal relationship was both romantic and faux-abusive. That is to say, Zato-1 treated Millia more like a sex object rather than a human being, he idolized her as "the perfect assassin". This information is gleaned from the Night of Knives drama CDs.

What kept their relationship going was the mutual experience of having a Kinjuu implanted in their bodies, it's assumed then that this was the reason Slayer took them in to the guild (because they were exceptions, 'unused weapons'), as they were ostracized from society for use of Forbidden Magicks, besides being orphans.

Millia, at first, considered her feelings to be pure love for Zato, but this slowly grew into contempt for his using her for tasks and missions merely as an objective to a goal rather than a human being. Venom more or less developed a one-sided fixation on Zato-1 and his "image" of him...that is to say, he could only see him as the head of the Soshiki and nothing else. This didn't so much as make Millia jealous but more than likely caused her to bully him and his sense of duty. Hers was a much more tight-knit relationship with Zato's than was Venom's (this would be echoed later when Eddie called Venom a Dog on his Master's leash).

The final straw that broke off Millia's relationship with Zato was his decision to eliminate the Orphanage which was the testing site for the God Series Dark Sentinels based off his initial Kinjuu design. While this might have prevented weapons from wreaking havok, it conflicted Millia's sense of morality (her feelings as an orphan herself).

It was during that mission she betrayed Zato and fled while he was under fire by enemy soldiers. She would fight Venom later on, but she clearly stood over Venom in terms of sheer power.

She would return briefly to save Zato one final time...

More later...

Y'know, oddly enough, I didn't even think of GG2's 3-D models when I answered that. Way more easier than studying 2-D sprites XD

Just for referance, most character sprite sets in fighting games are designed and drawn with the intention of facing to the left. This is because, apart from the character they're playing, most of the characters a player sees will be on the 2P side.

So the "opponent" 2P is the incorrect orientation while P1 is correct? Also I noticed that P1 in GG is in foreground and P2 in background...this is reversed in Blazblue. (You can notice it when beating opponents as their bodies either lie behind you or in front of your feet). Returning to what was said earlier regarding Millia's past with Zato-1... She returned to save him from the Sentinels of the God Series, but this didn't change the fact she was a traitor. As thanks for saving him, he did not pursue her immediately or send assassins after her immediately, it's not known if Venom was informed either. What is known is that later Millia would collaborate with the International Police Force (IPF), under promise that she would be acquitted of all charges of assassination and removed from all formal and informal bounty lists if they could catch the ringleader of the Soshiki. Indeed, they did catch Zato-1 and put him in prison, while sealing away his ability to use his Kinjuu. It would not be until Testament who had ties with PWAB at the time, utilized their resources to free Zato-1 and have him enter the 2nd Sacred Order of Holy Knights tournament. The whole purpose for this was of course for him to shed as much blood as possible, being an assassin. Zato-1 himself had been imprisoned for quite a time, and had literally begun to obsessively curse Millia's name (losing part of his sanity). He had hated her for her betrayal and her aiding the IPF in his capture and confinement, but he still harbored obsessive feelings for her as a woman. It is no lie to state that their relationship is a love-hate one. It's hard to say what actually happened when they met at the tournament. It's never said that Millia killed Zato-1...but more likely he was unsuccessful in killing her and thus went mad with power, just as his Kinjuu fully awoke. Some time later, Millia would find herself working alongside Venom (begrudgingly, albeit Venom is treated like a junior to a senior by her) for the same purpose of tracking down what remained of Zato...either as a human or a Kinjuu...at this point (GGX), he was neither alive nor fully dead. His body would be completely dead by GGXX however. It is however, heavily implied by Slayer, that Millia's true purpose in joining the Soshiki was to inevitably kill Zato-1 should his Kinjuu reach uncontrollable limits. It is not known if someone was also assigned to kill Millia for this same purpose.

No, you misunderstood, 2P is the correct orientation. Facing left.

It's a generalization, but the sprites are almost always designed to be seen in the 2P orientation, because most of the characters in the game will be presented to the player as opponents (in the 2P orientation).

I think I maybe phrased it better that time.

>>at this point (GGX), he was neither alive nor fully dead. Huh? I always thought Zato was more like almost fully manipulated by Eddie in Guilty Gear X, since you can partially see he regains consciousness when facing Millia (specially one of his intros where he begs her to help her). And well... in GGX+ he gets Eddie removed by Faust in one of his endings. ... but well, we all know what happened to Kaneto Shiozawa D:

How did he die? Just curious...

In terms of curiousity: Are there any extra info about Millia's fanboy?

Posted

To clarify, Zato's body was almost completely taken over by Eddie, it wasn't until he saw Millia that he actually resisted the Kinjuu's influence enough to beg Millia to kill him. Though he never said it directly, it was her duty to kill him (Slayer implied this), it's why she says she'll 'release' him. Because Eddie overtaxed Zato's body, he died of overexhertion. Eddie would later apologize to Venom, saying had he known human limits and how his life was linked with Zato's he would not have let his host die. As for Millia's stalker fanboy, its implied he's obsessed with her though she runs away from him. His feelings are supposedly betrayed when she starts killing innocent people with Angra when she lost contol (bad ending), this pushed him over the edge saying she shunned him, and he ends up killing her (sheer luck), though she embraces him in thanks. That's the bad ending...she's on the run from PWAB so not much can be said about him, though its said in the first GG, she has a fear of relationships.

I wouldn't trust any sort of Wiki at this point because of misinformation where implications are derived as truth. Even if there are such obvious clues, the truth has not been laid out clearly. I'm sure it'll all be explained eventually, and even if there are holes that remain, its safe to say those holes won't be as important.

The lack of proper capitalization and a few other fail grammar mistakes in that make it seem even more shady.

This is sortof half a question, half a to-do list regarding current GG text resources based on mooks and book guides available. --Translation of GG2 Overture Stories -Raven and That Man's are done courtesy of Suzaku. -Sin, Dr Paradigm, Valentine, Izuna, Sol, and Ky remain. --Translation of GG Bible Text (besides the timeline) --Translating small notes from GG 10th Memorial book. --Getting info from Dust Strikers and Isuka Guides on Leopaldon and Gig. --Any side book interviews/comments from Daisuke, including art drafting notes if pertinent. --Making some character-specific relationship charts with mini-timelines on them if possible.

Now don't judge me for this, but is there any sites that have a translation for story mode of Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus on all characters? Or do I have to just play the game just like that?

Posted

By Translation you mean from the "original" Japanese Text? I don't believe so...but then I also believe that the current Accent Core Plus would be a sufficient enough translation to get you what you need to know. Didn't you know it came out stateside by Aksys Games from Arc System Works?

Hey, I'm just wondering what this weapon is (This is from Ky's story in the Overture Material Collection):

Is that the Furaiken or just a random stuff? If you notice on the first picture, the side it is strapped on is for the left hand (ambidextrous?? or something else)
