Daysoo Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Are people really going to get serious about CS? Will I actually have people to play with again? ... :O~~~
FunkyP Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Are people really going to get serious about CS? Will I actually have people to play with again? ... :O~~~ Well you know Ivysaur, Elliot, Chris, and I will be for sure. Also what do people think about recording/streaming BB sessions. I signed up for a justin.tv account, I'm sitting on the fence about getting recording gear.
Isuyaru Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I have a Dazzle DVC100 that can record/stream direct-capture video and audio at okay quality, no HD. If anyone wants to do commentary, I don't have any working mics anymore, but I'd probably be willing to buy a cheap one.
FunkyP Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I have a mic and a mixer, its only a unidirectional though. I'll see if i have an omnidirectional one somewhere, but the mic i currently have is really good.
Eshi Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I want to do commentary :o and tim, I'm going to grind the shit out of CS so hard that after playing against me you'll wish you were getting clap looped by ivysaur!!! ...just wondering, does anyone plan on going to AWA? I predict that there will definitely be a tournament because last years was so much fun, I met skeletal minion and raph for the first times there.
BearsAreScary Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I'm definitely interested in some AWA - I've been there pretty consistently the past few years. Plus I only got about a month to train up with you guys before then, since I get back like right before school starts. So.....HYPE
CrushrDestroyr Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I'm definitely interested in some AWA - I've been there pretty consistently the past few years. Plus I only got about a month to train up with you guys before then, since I get back like right before school starts. So.....HYPE In all my years at gatech I actually have never been to AWA...I should definitely hit that up this time around. Also, I'm happy to see this much Blazblue hype. Brings a smile to my face.
FunkyP Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Tim your stick has been fixed for a while now, whenever you want it back tell me
Dogysamich Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Name: Gamal Location: Albany, GA Travel Distance: About a 1 1/2 from Columbus and about 2 1/2 hours from Atlanta. I have my dad I can stay with during my stays. He lives in Gainsville, GA, the same place he works at. I have have a car to travel. If you don't go there, you should look into Darton College. They have a gaming club/community esque thing, and I KNOW a few people there play blazblue. Infact, I could get you in contact with one guy RIGHT NOW. Being near columbus, they actually have a BIGGER community than albany's Darton College (I sometimes would like to believe Columbus actually has the biggest community in the state, but it's mostly comprised of underground, non tourney goers). I can't specifically remember if anybody MAINS BB over there, but I know there are some BB players there. So you aren't far from good people, you just live in buttfuck GA. A.K.A. Not-Atlanta. Are people really going to get serious about CS? Will I actually have people to play with again? ... :O~~~ No they're on here cause it's DUSTLOOP so people serious about DUSTLOOP and not CLAPLOOP. POOPLOOP! ^_^
Daysoo Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 -snip- No they're on here cause it's DUSTLOOP so people serious about DUSTLOOP and not CLAPLOOP. POOPLOOP! ^_^ YO DOGY. Are you gonna play KOFXIII when it drops? ----- BB:CS Challenge #10 - All Characters http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sa9eWn6Zqxc Arcsys knows their shit isn't balanced. :<
Dogysamich Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Probably not. I mean, there's a slim chance since Mai's in the game, IIRC, but like, I've never been a HUGE fan of KoF. So... prolly not. I dont even know when it's coming out. :o
FunkyP Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 So I got myself a usb capture device to record matches and do livestreams, definitely gonna have an ATL CS livestream when it drops. Also able to record sessions. http://www.justin.tv/funkyp
BearsAreScary Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 yeaaaaa i want my noobass recorded live so some dudes can see how bad i am and we can all do this thing where like we play ivysaur 50 times or something and whatever matches we win we put on youtube and brag about how good we are sounds like a plan? P.S. KoF sux, if you like that poopy game you should come over to this side of the world :P they love that game for inexplicable reasons here
Miss Yuna Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Are people really going to get serious about CS? Will I actually have people to play with again? ... :O~~~ I'll try. I'll need a good BlazBlue 101 course, though. I don't know shit about this game, but I love it.
ravaii Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Hey guys, this is Raph I have met a few of you guys that post in here before (Desu, TheLight, DogySammich). Sooo excited about BBCS coming out and I would really love to be more in touch with the Georgia players this time because our scene for games in Alabama is pretty small. I only dabbled in BBCT because it was a new series and I didn't know what to think of it and the tournaments for it in Georgia were relatively small, but over time I came to really like the gameplay and characters so this time I will give CS my all. I really hope to fight against Mr. Ivysaur without clap loop being in the game to ruin Tager, and Light I hope to see you at AWA!
Isuyaru Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 I've been told that some South Carolina players are planning to come to AWA as well, so it's shaping up to be pretty exciting. I'm looking forward to it.
ravaii Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 I been going to AWA for a few years because I enjoy attending and I usually enter whatever fighters tournaments they have to meet cool people and also try to win prizes. That would be really cool if some of us can meet up this year and go get something to eat or go have a drink at least.
FunkyP Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Hmmm, I've never really been hype about AWA, but i guess I'll might as well go to this year's
Eshi Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 I been going to AWA for a few years because I enjoy attending and I usually enter whatever fighters tournaments they have to meet cool people and also try to win prizes. That would be really cool if some of us can meet up this year and go get something to eat or go have a drink at least. That sounds like an awesome idea. I also won't play like total crap at this AWA, BB was my gateway fighting game and AWA was my first tourney for it. No more losing to Tager shenanigans!!!
BearsAreScary Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 That sounds like an awesome idea. I also won't play like total crap at this AWA, BB was my gateway fighting game and AWA was my first tourney for it. No more losing to Tager shenanigans!!! My johns are similar to these, but my hardcore Asia training will hopefully pay off when I return. I'm very glad that underneath the shitstorm I started over on SRK, my goal of people getting the word out about this fantastic game seems to be working. I want as many people into this game as possible! If the place I'm living in in the Fall turns out to be awesome (won't see it until I move in, lol...) I may very well start hosting some gatherings. Or we can keep doing them at Ivysaur's place. Expect greatness (and be ready to drive to Gatech :P)!
Daysoo Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 When is AWA? How much does it cost to get in? Will this be for BBCS? Is it going to be a regular pot split or some BS AWA split where they take almost all the money?
FunkyP Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Elliot, curios as to when you get back we need you to play at our sessions. ATL needs to level up as fast as possible as soon as CS drops, we got 4 days from that point to Revival.
ravaii Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Probably some smaller split with random prizes included. I won a TE stick from the SF4 tournament and some one piece DVDs from the blazblue tournament, along with cash from each. I do warn anyone, if you are attending an anime con with the intention of being there to play in a tournament like what you are used to then you will be disappointed. Lots of casual players and last time we had to cut down on the number of sets to finish quick enough I guess.
Daysoo Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 OK, so I looked it up. $35 pre-reg, or $30 each if six of us register as a group. That's a helluva door fee for me, since I don't really have an interest in AWA any more. If I were to attempt organizing another tournament that weekend, would anyone be interested? Or are ya'll goin' for AWA, and just doing the tournament because you're there?
FunkyP Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Well you have to consider its a big Anime Con, people are gonna go there for the fact that its a con and usually tournaments also happen. Throwing your own tournament that day isnt gonna sway anyone from ditching AWA. Usually I'm not a big enough otaku to go, yet I have a feeling this year I might be inclined to go. Oh not to mention it's like 5-10 minutes from my campus.
