Don't forget to bring your controllers and sticks. I'd be more than glad to be the one to provide a spare PS2 and MBAA when I can like last time but not today I'm afraid. I'll be running a bit late (hopefully just in time for GGXXAC) since apparently I'll be getting a free 50'' screen that'll take up most of my morning. But I'll let ya know ahead of time on days I won't be able to bring a spare system and game. Also until I can get a converter for my stick to work on PS3, please try to set me up for the Arcade cabinet in the meantime. Thanks. See y'all at the tourney.

I was hoping for another PS3 in case we get even more people than last time. If the crowd gets upwards of 32 people, 3 stations would be ideal. The options are supposed to be on arcade style anyways, so no extra AHs, no new stages and certainly no Bang Install music. I have a joystick to loan out to anybody playing on a PS3, so if you don't have one all hope is not lost. If you'd still prefer to play only on arcade remind me before/during the tournament (I make little marks next to your names for reference).

I'm trying to get used to the PS2 controller (I'm not going to use this as an excuse for losing, but let me say it) and I kept rolling my inputs instead of going to 5 first before switching directions. That kept messing up my combos (and made for some very unopportunistic supers), so I usually ended them quickly with a throw just so I couldn't fuck anything else up. I'll practice more and do better next tournament. GGs everyone, especially Xie. Better luck next time, Oni. We should get together and practice some. H-Roa seems like he has a lot of potential, and that EX Haloish super of his could be really useful. Congrats on the win, Xie. Good to see somebody using Neco & Mech, lol. IDK if they'll end up being as good as your regular C-Mech (which is crazy good), but they seem to have some decent potential. If any of you guys didn't enter all three tournaments, practice for the ones you didn't enter in! MB is a really fun game (don't be intimidated by the higher up players, I sucked up and entered GG and actually did pretty well). It just takes some practice, but all-in-all it's probably the simplest of the three fighters. It focuses more on footsies and game theory. BB and GG rely more on heavy skill of game mechanics (esp. BB).

You played it on console, right? Maybe there'll be two to go around, idk. I'm always down for mirrors, eventhough I say I hate them. Because I do hate them, but then I don't, I guess. lol, it's a weird feeling. If I were to practice on MBAC ver.b, would that help with MBAA? Or were there too many changes between the two?

In MBAA there are three versions of each character: Crescent Moon, Half Moon, and Full Moon. Crescent Moon is the same as MBAC versions of characters (with some minor balancing tweaks). So the skills from MBAC definitely carry over to MBAA as long as you're playing the Crescent version of that character. But MB in general is a simple game to pick up. The combos are easier in general, but typically harder on timing. I'd recommend getting the game for yourself and practicing at home. It came out in Japan only, so you'll need either a modded or Japanese PS2.

I just thought it was funny, as I was already down 1 match, and 1 round in the second match. You turned to me and said, "You got this." But before that, your advice was helpful. I bet if you played Carl, you would've been yelling SRK!! SRK!!! but you don't, so you couldn't have known that.. I completely forgot my matchup, as I always play shit Kune's.
