TOKiMONSTA Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 YEAH TUESDAY NIGHT. OH WAIT YOU WILL BE A CONCERT. LAME.
PozerWolf Posted April 28, 2010 Author Posted April 28, 2010 Alright everyone, Super is out. You know what to do... Buy a Wii and get monster hunter.
Sadeyo Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 In the last 5 years till now and later on. Have the arcades kept the same feel? Well to state bluntly Do the sticks go through a revolving change that requires adjustment? My bad for only living the scene for a month. Briefly played them during my younger years but I didn't pay attention to them so much.
CrimsonDisaster Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 If you mean "are we still using the same style of sticks now that we used back in the day," then... yes and no. Most arcades in the US used Happs and Happs knock-off parts (Einstein's used Happs while it was still around, for example). If you played at an arcade years ago, you probably played on Happs. UFO uses sticks/buttons from Japanese manufacturers, primarily Sanwa parts (I think a few setups have Seimitsu parts?). There isn't really a cycle of styles or anything, Japan has been using Sanwa/Seimitsu parts since like forever and since UFO is a Japanese style arcade, it only makes sense to use Japanese parts. ...plus it's not like there's much demand for American arcade parts these days. As for adjustment between the two, maybe it would be an issue if you had been playing exclusively on Happs sticks for years and years of regular playtime before switching to Sanwa/Seimitsu. If not... dunno what there is to "adjust" to other than playing on sticks in general.
orka Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Look out for me on the front page of SRK in the next few days, lulz.
orka Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 My Ibuki is terribad. So I've been playing a lot of the angry Mexican instead the past couple of days. Still gonna keep practicing her though.
TOKiMONSTA Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 John Choi exclusively plays for America. If you want to be America you must play on Happ.
orka Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 TBH most Americans by now realize how bad Happ parts are. Even a lot of Marvel players play on Sanwa now. I think I'm gonna start playing a lot of Sakura (and throw fits of rage). I had some Hawk mirrors yesterday to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
Sadeyo Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 I have Actress Again! I'm going to play the shit out of you....I now need to purchase a stick. ;_;
