http://www.gamertagradio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12129

Due to the release of TEKKEN 6, we've unfortunately discovered there is a problem with the online features of the game for both systems X BOX 360 and PlayStation gaming entertainment platforms.

Just to inform you, we are working rapidly to get this problem fixed and more enhanced, for further information in the future (reference) please check the : X BOX Live Market Place and the Sony PlayStation store for the update on which we are working on to provide better online game play.

Thank You

Anyone optimistic on the patch?

It'd be nice if the online was better, but seriously, I've got people to play with offline, so it's good either way.

Japan + Internet? Always expect the worst.

I was messing around with other characters yesterday and I was curious why Zafina is considered complete crap tier? I know its extremely early to even think about tiers, but I always like to look at them when they're available to see people's opinions. But I was wondering what this was based on for her. EDIT I don't see how the patch can make it worse...hopefully anyway haha

I'm pretty sure it came from how horrendously impractical her moves are. I mean, she's still playable, but goddamn, you have to REALLY work for it.

Then again, I could be totally wrong. I haven't sat down with her at all to find out first hand, but then again, I really don't have any desire to do so.

I heard the game was suppose to be one of the most balanced fighters and such, so you're probably right. Anyhow, I kinda wanna start getting into this game. My only complaint about it is (I also have this complaint for Blazblue, which they're fixing anyhow for CS) is that it only takes 2 to 3 combos for the match to end. I don't know, I like lengthy matches for some reason, maybe that's just me. Anyhow, my friend told me that Tekken 5 and Tekken 6 are pretty similar as far as how the characters work and the combos are, the major differences being it has a "rage" system and some other thing that was added on. (Also more characters) But as far as already existing characters in 5, it seems that most are suppose to be pretty much the same, anyhow, that's all I've really hard. Anyhow, since I can't afford 6, I'm gonna stick with 5 (Dark Ressurection). My friends tell me that the game is basically juggling alot. Can anyone give me some insight on Tekken? To be honest, I've played very few 3D fighters through my times of playing fighting games. I've played a SHITLOAD of 2D fighters and put alot of time into those. I think the main similarities I see are comboing and blocking. But I'm no fool, I know that the World of 2D fighters and 3D fighters are pretty different... That's why I'm not that good at em "^^

Actually, from my exerience, the combos in Tekken 6 are very different than the ones in Tekken 5, especially due to the new B! system.

In 3D fighters, it's very important to know the frame data. You must know what moves you can use to punish the opponent. Also, in high-level play, you don't see combos very often; they win matches a little bit at a time.

I found her movements somewhat intriguing/hilarious. I just didn't think she was that terrible, but you could be very right.

Terrible in T6 isn't as terrible as terrible is in other games. (from what I'm told)

Zat so? Hm... If that's the case, would it be worth my time still learning someone like Marshall Law? :S I mean, I'm a bit worried if I'd be able to access him well enough in Tekken 6

If you can do Law's DR combos, you oughta be be able to do his new BR combos. You might even find them easier to do. Crouch-Dash execution and mixups should carry over aswell, though he's gotten so much new stuff and is all around better, you may find yourself not even using it in BR.

There isn't a recording/command capture feature in training mode, correct? And I don't mean where you just set the dummy to do a certain move, I mean you actually recording the dummy doing anything you want. I was told that they were going to add one, is that true? Sorry if this has already been answered.

As of right now, no it pretty much only has the vs. computer feature. I havent heard about them adding the feature but it would be nice if they did.

Your skills in 5 or DR should transfer pretty smoothly to 6 as soon as you get used to the new system/moves/whatever else might give you a little bit of trouble. Zafina (and Alisa if I remember) is bottom-tier because her stuff can be ridiculous to connect, especially in mid-fight. But Tekken 6 is really well-balanced and every character is tournament-viable so it's not all bad, dontchaknow

Oh, their moves are almost exactly the same, and most of the old-school DR combos still work. It's just, the new ones are a little better. So, learning a character in T5 will be well worth your time. No need to worry. ;)

Anybody know a good way to learn Hwoarang in a way that doesn't get people mad at you for "spamming kicks" (Kinda hard to do since Tae Kwon Doe is almost entirely made out of kicks) Now, I feel like I've tried mixing it up with a combination of standard kick combos, sidestep kicks, launches and "aerial rave" combos, occasional punches, and a myriad of other stuff, but people still give my the spammy eye. Is there something I'm missing here? Granted, I haven't ever played a Tekken game seriously before this (Tekken 2 was for fun, before I got into fighters) and I must admit Hwoarang is fairly easy to play with at a glance (although the high-low mixup looks a bit weak), but still others seem to give me crap for playing spam.

The people getting upset at you for "spamming kicks" are about as ignorant as the people who complain about Tagers and Zangiefs for "spamming throws". Don't pay them any mind. Also, don't forget that Tekken appeals to a much more casual enviornment than BlazBlue and Guilty Gear, so you can expect people to be bad sports.

I wouldn't worry about them either especially since you aren't a true spammer who does one combo/one button over and over and over and over and over and over..grant it its very rewarding to completely stomp these people :keke: EDIT In general i feel like the base of people i've run into aren't very friendly. After a really close match that I enjoyed I generally send a simple good game and almost never get a response or its been angry/demeaning (on ps3 anyway).. this could also be people just don't feel like responding, but the latter is upsetting

Nah man, people just don't like admitting defeat in this game, I think. Like, I got three straight rounds on this one dude, and he said I got lucky. With Kuma. One of the worst characters in the game. :I

Just amazed by how retarded people can be.

I mean, I send out GGs to the people who seem like they practice, and get GGs from random people, but srsly. Goddamn.

Until the lag clears up, some cases of kick spamming or throw spamming in Tekken can be considered cheap for some characters.

Tekken has typically had a large window for throw breaking, in lag, forget it unless you are a psychic.

As far as the kicks go, it depends on the character your picking and who you are up against. Normally a kick spammer gets trashed by anyone with a clue, but in lag, that same kick spammer can get away with stuff since the lag makes what is normally VERY unsafe (which most of the kick spammers are) into something that actually gives them frame advantage.

I know what you mean, I'll admit I get angry/pissed too, but I guess I just find it weird people can't let it go. I usually just let the anger out and then would respond, not take my loss out on them.
