OmniSScythe Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 the way he did it was pretty spacing specific. but I 5C > 6C > dash cancel 5C > sjc > j.C > j.D > airdash j.A over the opponent > j.236D there's alot of set ups now. ice doesn't get in the way of perposful and intentional resets anymore. You're right about that, two minutes into training mode and I already made a staple use for CH 623C for a cross up reset. CH 623C > d.5b > 5C > max height sj.C > j.d > air dash "under" the opponent j.236D Boo hoo if I'm late to that.
Leonil_Requiem Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 just a little, but try, 623C CH > d.5B > 5C > sjc > J.B > J.C > J.D > airdash under j.236D also 5B IAD j.236D is still pretty pretentious.
Yuushiro Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11531538 very cool comeback against the litchi on 2nd round
smooshman Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 from posting thread: Jin Combo Vid some cool shit, funny yukikaze antics, and an astral combo.

I was soooo impatient.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwIdfCOuuCw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jczCIv9kOA8 I didn't poost the one where I was missing inputs and impatienttt lolll
smooshman Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 some of my FAIL stuff at SBO quals.... urgghh my failure..., I could've done better... I was soooo impatient.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwIdfCOuuCw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jczCIv9kOA8 I didn't poost the one where I was missing inputs and impatienttt lolll don't be so down on your self, you did great, far better than my "use fubuki/hirensou as poke" Jin. You handled both Tao and Hakumen very well, and those are rather.... annoying matchups.
Yuushiro Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 yea, I am still disappointed I didn't get to show any of my corner loop stuff..... and that match against render was just super bad.... props to him for making me intimidated and nervous and also this is my first major
xlolxlolx Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 lolol i like how you just tried to get as many throws as you could vs ikki, he missed alot of 2C AA opportunities though and lulz at the ending air dash j.B crossup from a throw reject.
Yuushiro Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 lol..., I used my jC trick at first I know I had to try something else after he rejects my second throw ... I am actually was just trying to throw him again but he landed so jB comes out lol
xlolxlolx Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I still find it kinda weird how he just ate the 5B>2B>5C>6C>corner combo
Yuushiro Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 after resets??? that's coz he mash up coz he doesnt wanna guess 50/50 between my throw and 6B
Ice Cube Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Whenever I see someone whiff 6D after 6C in corner I feel sad, how did arcsys screw up Hakumen's hitbox like that? You keep canceling 5B 1st hit into 2B (I think I never saw 5B's 2nd hit for both videos?). Could have hit confirm 5B 2nd hit into much better stuff than a simple 3C knockdown, or pull the opponent in for more pressure.
xlolxlolx Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 5B(1)>2B is safer on block and gives them less time to go from standing block to crouching block so you can get a 5C>6C from it.
Yuushiro Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 well the second hit 5B is 0, so pro players always know what to do for that so it's my habit to keep my pressure like that most of the time... I did some 5B second hit against dacidbro bang and then throw himm... I just do it rarely
Ice Cube Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 5B(1)>2B is safer on block and gives them less time to go from standing block to crouching block so you can get a 5C>6C from it. If they are hit with 2B while standing block then how do you 5C>6C (not to mention everyone loves blocking low against Jin). 2B push opponent further, that I know, but 5B(2) is 0 and 2B is -3. Also, you can tick throw/pressure reset after 5B(2) but not 2B. Lastly 5B(2) is cancelable into 2B. So I still hold my view that he should not have done so many 5B(1)>2B.
Yuushiro Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 by he you mean me?? okay, notice taken..., I might try consider that....
xlolxlolx Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 nvm i was thinking of something else my mistake
Roldy Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Whenever I see someone whiff 6D after 6C in corner I feel sad, how did arcsys screw up Hakumen's hitbox like that? Actually, there's nothing wrong with Hakumen's hitbox. It's just that Marcell did a forward throw that was too close to the corner. Because forward throw has such bad proration, anyone can tech out. Forward throw > 623B > 6C > 6D only works if it's not too close to the corner (so that 6D's full hitbox comes out).
Ice Cube Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Guess I would post the rest of render's matches in the SBO quals http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmhdtk5Cj4o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwpixR-A6mY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePim-wKOdaA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJ_ro6nivjI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nteKcn4RXwo lol @ last match's "you can beat 5A" (reply to above post) no, that combo works against everyone closest to corner except Haku-men (and Lambda and Tsubaki). I really hope Arcsys fix this, it's just dumb having to do an entirely different combo.
Yuushiro Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 oh cool, now all my loses are exposed lol... anyway also.., I forgot to mention that depends on the spacing if you arent close enough 5B second hit wont come out
Ice Cube Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 This exists ever since CT so I thought everyone would know? Confirming whether both hits will come out is not that hard. Of course 5B(1)>2B is better than 5B(1) whiff 5B(2) ^^. I can delete that link if you want to.
Yuushiro Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 nah it's cool... and I never really get to play CT..., I started December last yr just when my arcade gets BBCS....
