Keo-bas Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I must admit that since Ive yet to play her I cant comment. But even if what you guys say is true I'm more reluctant to ask buff. (Im a scrub...) What would you guy want to change to before her character concept is change completely. Here we have character with some unique tools that benefit from a separate gauge that she can build at will. 70% of her arsenal may rely on it but its not the only thing that matters. I'm finding enough player improvising on her this matter. If some player can't cut it than they need to just leave her alone but not dismiss her. She still retains most ability other character have she just have to improvise a lot on damage which she can get if some one can reserve the gauge long enough. How is that a bad character concept? are they suppose to be brain dead easy or something? Well maybe I'm just idoit on the matter. I actually dropped my previous main hakumen because they buffed him too much. Hes no longer fun to play.
pktazn Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I can't really comment too much either but I've seen soooo many tournament/ranbat matches (especially when I'm the one splitting the video) where the Tsubaki player is doing awesome as in getting in some charges, completing their combos and basically keeping up with the opponent, etc BUT her damage output is just so bad without charge that if they don't have any they still end up losing most of the time (and even if they do have charge they may still end up losing to other shenanigans), which is why it's so essential to have it. The other thing I noticed is that her gauge is used quickly which is probably because of the different properties her moves do with a certain amount of charge and it's needed in certain combos so it's hard to save up. If charges are 70% of her arsenal that's kinda bad in the grand scheme of things haha. Her character concept isn't bad they just flubbed it up this time around especially with her charging speed as SolxBaiken said earlier. EDIT: Oh snapz just saw Ginseng's announcement .... And I won't be here. Dunno if that's a good thing or bad thing haha.

Shaffler Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I'm pretty sure that they'll give her a boost in the future. Either they turn her charge similar to Order Sol's or they boost her damage. We'd be lucky to have two, but here's to hoping we get at least one. Since she got cookies now, I'm sure she'll suddenly go up a couple tier levels. Or she could just trade her pants for a miniskirt and then she'll gain a decent boost because everyone know that the less clothing you wear, the strong you are...why else would men strip down to their underwear when wrestling?
pktazn Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I don't think 2.5k is too much to ask for considering the top 3 can get around 3-4k in less hits than Tsubaki's combos lol. Her costume should be the one on that phone card where my avy is from. She'll be so OP with that costume it won't even be funny.

In any case, I don't care that she's underpowered. She's by far my favorite character (and has been even before she was playable). I'm just repping her regardless, and waiting patiently for the day she gets her (well-deserved) buffs like Bang, Litchi, and Hakumen did going into BBCS.
Shaffler Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Well, I'm pretty sure she'll get a buff now that she can't see. Because obviously, the more disabled you are, the stronger you get. Just look at Ragna. He's doing pretty well for a guy who lost an arm, some blood, and two of his siblings.

Tsubaki looks even more hawt with red eyes. either he'll get some automail, or he'll fight like his master,Juubei and put the damn blade in his mouth and use only Inferno Divider and Belial Edge

Oooh ooh ooh and Valkyrie (from VP 2 the one where all three are combined) :D I dunno about Order Sol considering they usually give anythign Sol to Ragna but it would be pretty awesome if they did make one.
