Sophisticat Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 J.2a the moment you jump forward, assuming he does it on reaction. J.2a is your all-purpose air cutter anyway. Air wheel thingy I'm not sure can be cut, I just block or D it usually.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 I noticed. However I can't seem to find a good HAKUMANZ attack to cut those shitz. Specially in mid-air. j2A and j2C aren't that helpful in that aspect imo ;( For instance spike chaser (if that's what it's called), can be cut with 4c of j2c (jumping backwards). 4c from what I've seen when japanese players are going at it, can be to hit spike chaser and either allow you to get in closer or well timed so that by the time the blades come out lambda gets hit with a void in her face. The blade wheel, well occasionally go for a 3c, don't do it too often because I think lambda can do her portal sword super as a cancel.
psycofang2 Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 fact of the matter about set ups as well. some lambdas will throw out a long distance spike chaser then *knowing you will 4C it* use 4DD into zwei parser into a "goddammit" combo. there are a few traps like bakwards axe wheel into TK cresent saber. axe wheel into spike chaser. they have a ton of traps to either hit you or eat your primers. vs long distance spike chaser, i would advise, if you can, to hop closer and 3C it or walk slightly and 3C so her 4D(s) will misss and you have a safe place. 4cing vs competent lambdas can be your grave. vs reverse axe i have found a simple back jump>j2c barriers it so easily. vs forward axe just 3c and get in it. in the air vs spike chaser, if you are high enough, j2C if your are too low just block. im more suicidal so i IAD jC it and its worked for me, (dont do this, its crazy). also learn to 5C her 5D, (yes i have been able to do this on reaction and good predictions) vs her 6D and 2D i empty jump Ib and/or barrier he 6A/2C.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 also learn to 5C her 5D, (yes i have been able to do this on reaction and good predictions) THIS IS MADNESS 5d is fucking fast, and 5c barely has any projectile autoguard frames (I think like 3 or so).
mAc Chaos Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Yeah, you can't always 4C her 214D either. Sometimes you won't have time from getting up, as the 214D will be already on you. Other times her 5D/4D swords cause enough blockstun on you that by the time you try to 4C the 214D you'll just get CH.
psycofang2 Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 THIS IS MADNESS 5d is fucking fast, and 5c barely has any projectile autoguard frames (I think like 3 or so). and ive done it alot, its given me a heavy edge vs yaya and krazex. trust me.
mAc Chaos Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Did you guys notice that when she throws swords at the void it lets her cancel into her other swords as if she was comboing? I watch Lambda throw a 5D into the void, then go to IAD over it and eat a 6D...
psycofang2 Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 it does but i have also notices say i barrier her 6D if she continues that logical D follow ups it homes in on the barrier and not you, i have escaped death so much because of that it catches lambdas off guard.
MAdBater Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 (edited) it seem blocking all day until you can create a void or happen upon a opening are the only way to do the match up with hakumen. sometimes i get impatient and air dash into her swords. i now i need to stop doing that but a i really want to get lamda do bad when i getting zoned hardcore by her. sometimes i airdash and do a air D move but it will be most of the time too far or hakumen to grab lamda but it does cancel the airdash i think or it seems so that when you are being impulsive and trying to get in you can use that to fix your mistake of airdashing lamda.
