Skye Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 I do the cross up jc starter the same way, cross up or not, so I'm a bit confused. Please elaborate.
ZONG_one Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Non crossup = 5D bug. Crossup = 4D bug. Since j.C pushes them toward the side opposite of the side you hit.
Skye Posted August 20, 2010 Author Posted August 20, 2010 Oh. I use 4d bug either way, the c bug pushes them to just the right amount for the d bug to hit them. I'll look into it.
ZONG_one Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Rofl. I've never got 4 bug to combo on instand overhead non-crossup. I must be scrub. Also for 6B mixups and such, you do need 5D bug though. But I'm sure you know that. I just think you should include ways to start controlled pressure and mix up, as people seem to be having a hard time with that. I've seen like 10 people say "plz help I get them cursed then I just mash buttons and pray." D:
Senkei Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Anybody know who this arakune is? I have my guesses but i'm not sure exactly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGsC-u9blpg
ZONG_one Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I was tempted to say that. lol. His name as listed is troll as fuck.
Skye Posted August 23, 2010 Author Posted August 23, 2010 Souji is pretty much the only jp Arakune who bothers to teleport.
ZONG_one Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Souji is pretty much the only Arakune. Period. Fix'd/ :] This is pretty much my opinion, for the most part.
Skye Posted August 23, 2010 Author Posted August 23, 2010 Souji does have an appeal to him. Like the queen to spawned the other Arakune.
kousaka Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 here's some 2C FC combos for makoto and mu Mu is pretty much the same as ragna, litchi, noel, lambda. There's 3 cases, you either hit 2c fc from really far and you have to do a B dive variation (will record this later), or you end up really really close to opponent either in front or behind them(switching sides) as shown in vid. 2Cfc>5A>(jc8)>jA>jC>j2A>dive cancel 5D>(jc)>jA>jC>j2A>dive cancel 5D>(hjc)>jA>jA>jC>jD (100%) -from the front the 5a will tend to catch the wrong direction, just replace the first j2a with j2c 2Cfc (far)>5A>jc>jA>jB(2)>jC>j2B>dive cancel 5D>jc>jA>jC>j2A>dive cancel 5D>hjc>jA>jC>jD (100%) 2Cfc>5A>jc>jA>jC>j2A>dive cancel 5D>hjc>jA>jB>jC>j2B>dive cancel 5D>hjc>delay jA>jC>jD (100%) After some experimenting, she actually has more a body type similar to Rachel. JC tends to whiff in the air so you have to use delays and superjumps. You want to catch her with 5a as high as possible. It's kinda unstable however. It's pretty easy to do the 70% combo though using B dive as second or first loop as long as you do two jA's or hjc the following to reach. ah crap just noticed the 2c fc part was cut off, might go back and record it again lol
CopperDabbit Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Uh, Kou? You do realize that in your makoto video, that didn't combo, right?
kousaka Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 lol holy crap i did not notice that my bad.. i'll try and fix it later tonight
Senkei Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Souji is pretty much the only jp Arakune who bothers to teleport. Really? Against Lamda i'd think that would be a must. I use it a lot and find ways for it to help me reset pressure. @ZONG: lol ok
Skye Posted August 24, 2010 Author Posted August 24, 2010 Really? Against Lamda i'd think that would be a must. I use it a lot and find ways for it to help me reset pressure. @ZONG: lol ok Fumo would stay patient then surprisebuttsecksrtsd. If it's not Souji, then it's someone else, who uses blue and is good with Arakune.
kousaka Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Okay i fixed the vid, it worked when i was doing it and then when i was recording i didn't notice it reset. When i went back and did extensive testing and noticed a bunch of stuff that i didn't before and i noted it. The height to catch with 5a, the delay JA on the second rep. It's fairly unstable imo similar to rachel's situation. Added the 2c FC from far distance vid. Note the 2 hits on jB
King_Slime Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Hello! Sorry to bother you guys in this section as well.....but, as I've stated before, I'm a visual learner, so videos are extremely helpful in me learning combos and advanced tactics (skye's videos for example). Anyway, I was wonder if someone could record a video on them do a basic arakune IAD combo (and some tips on how to pull it off)? I can't pull it off for the life of me. I needed another example of a combo as well....but I forgot was it was....I think it was the diveloops but I already have a video of that... Anyway, thanks guys!
Abyss Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Maybe it's just my own feeling, but i found a lot easy to IAD when you straight jump (8), so try it after a 6A 5D, it will work also (but after a 2A 5B 5D, you can't throw the opponent with 6B, so you must IAD with a (9)jc, i'm not regular with this combo because i find the timing of IAD with (9)jc...not very difficult, i just don't understand it ). If you have difficulty to IAD and cancel by 4B instantly, you can AID J5AA 4B, but J5A will whiff on certain character. I don't have video for example right now, but someone will give you soon i think
kousaka Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I've already made vids of the IAD j4a combos a while back, if you want i can link them to you again. abyss: i agree with you about jc(8) being easier, it works fine for iad jAA. For iad jc(9) the trick is there's a delay before your airdash such that you can get j4a>ja out. I wrote a post about iad j4a combos sometime back that i can link. There's a few key notes that are important.
King_Slime Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Yeah, dude that would be awesome! Thanks a bunch you guys. So, just to re-cap (kind of off topic) the main things an arakune player needs to be able to do is; IAD combos, dive loops and of course the pinwheel loop. Anything else I'm missing...?
Abyss Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 If you can link it it's with pleasure, I whiff sometimes the combo after 2A 5B 5D... and because it's a good way to get curse also (FC can be rarely in a match) i need to master it. King-slime: His gameplay also, be not predictable etc. It's a good thing to know combos and loops, but the goal is to do it in match !
kousaka Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Aright. Secret to IADJ4A combos: here List of Arakune combo playlists (slightly out of date now):Combo Playlists Arakune's movement and zoning is important.
Abyss Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Thanks you a lot (going on training). edit: I try it about one hours , I don't still get the AID with (9)jc, don't know why... I wanted to master it for MU like against Hazama or Lamda, but i whiff it too much. Hope to have a cloud with me for 100% curse with a simple combo xD
