bjholmes2 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 For discussion of the Hazama vs. Jin matchup.
Black Onslaught Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Jayoku Hotenjin vs Jin's 623C; Clash or does 623C win?
Arifureta Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Yo guys, I'm having a little problem coping with Jin's C Ice Sword oki game. So far, all I've been doing is waiting for the inevitable crossup/j.B attempt so I can 2C to oblivion, but apart from that, are there other options I should be considering? Or do I just block and pray?
Xill Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 I 2A Jin like crazy. Hazama's is fast like Ragnas, so on his wake up, That move is out if i'm not in a corner. If it wiffs though Jin 623C, don't toss out another one because there is a dp you need to block. 623A don't hit crouches anymore and 623B isn't invincible till late, so you don't have to worry about 3/4 of his wake up DP game, which is nice. I like keeping him on the floor and going for mix ups that way. 6C is your friend try trying to bait DP's outta blockstrings. It's perfect with how Jin's work. Free Counter hit combos open up outta nowhere.
Fireryda Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Don't forget that he has an actual DP. 623D. It's fast and only costs 25 heat which he'll have after 1 combo. According to frame data 623C isn't invincible all the way to active frames while 623D is. and 20 frames vs 11 frames. 623C barely leads to any reward while 623D either pushes you to mid-screen on block (still punishable though :D) or you get hit twice and go flying to the other side.. or eat a 4k+ corner combo that builds him 30-40 heat .. But yeah 6C is good since most jin's don't use 623D and 623C has terrible horizontal range. Honestly this match-up is pretty standard. Just have to watch out for Jin's j.c pokes and footsies with Ice :V
Arifureta Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Also of note, if he's crossup happy, murder him with 5A. :V
kazukifafner Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 The nice thing about this matchup is that Jin can't keep up pressure for too long with serious risk of getting interrupted, and Hazama has no problem interrupting players, lol.
Kane Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 London Dry Gin IB punishes All are IB > Jayoku houtenjin unless stated otherwise 5B (2nd hit) 5C 3C 5D A ice car (Fatal counter) B ice car (both hits) C ice car (can be punished off normal block, don't IB punish the 1st hit, the second hit will knock you out of the super) D ice car (either hit can be IB'd for a fatal counter)
