That being said, I desperately want a full set of the INCREDIBLY RARE Sanwa OBSC-30's so the art is displayed fully.

If you have these buttons, and the transparent frames are in good condition, I will buy them off you regardless of the condition of the moving parts. If you know anyone who knows anyone, or even have satan's number on your cell, send me a PM.

Well now hold up. I heard somewhere on SRK Tech Talk that you can replace the springs in Semitsu buttons with Sanwa ones so you basically have semitsu look - sanwa feel. I don't know the steps but I'm sure doing that would be much cheaper than buying transparent Sanwas. You (or I) could ask there for the details.

if you get the large microswitches that is, standard switches in OBSF/OBSN 30's are small and don't fit into seimitsu cases. The large switches for sanwa are interchangable though with the KN series buttons from seimitsu

from slagcoin's parts and attributes section

"long switches (sanwa) can be used in buttons using large switches (seimitsu), but large switches (seimitsu) cannot be used by buttons using long switches (sanwa)"

please if i'm wrong correct me on this

Ah I see. I thought those buttons were odd when I saw them last time. Now I know why. Thanks for that.

Also, shoutouts to slagcoin edits~

Hmm, this is all great info, the issue is that I need transparent, convex buttons. To my knowledge Semitsu only has concave ones.

Sanwa also has Convex. If you are looking for concave, buy some IL/Suzo or HAPP buttons. But alas, they only come in 28mm and don't fit in a TE because of how long they are, and they need to fit the 30mm hole.

As for Sanwa microswitches being compatible or not with Seimi's KNs, they fit, but the male part of the microswitch is not compatible with the female part of the plunger.

*EDIT*

Whoops read that wrong. All Seimitus and Sanwa buttons are convex. Seimitsu PS-14 KNs are the ones you are looking for.

I have them on my SE. Not the transparent ones but same button. I prefer them over the Sanwas. I'm not accidentally doing a move I don't know want beucause my finger was resting on the button.

I want to use the transparent ones on a future stick.

Mmmmm Can't really say there's anything like that. Semitsu isn't super concave though. I can't say I've felt too much a difference between them and Sanwas in that respect.

In other news, I did some a diggin' and it seems this SRK user had OSBCs a while back. You could ask if he still has any.

Edit: Damn my lazy ass got ninja'd. :sweatdrop:

You did.

I'm checking out that SRK user for future commissions though, buyers are always wanting them. Thanks.
