CakeWasBannedd Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 hey can someone tell me the combo that kazu uses as a ender from the taunt loop in the corner? i believe its TL (full-1) 214D -> 2D~C -> j.2D~A -> Taunt -> 214D -> j.236BBBBB. please correct me if i'm wrong. i can't seem to get the taunt to come out after the j.2D~A. can someone please help? It's j.2D~C, not j.2D~A. A tip on this ender is to get it out as quickly as possible, if you delay it'll probably whiff.

Does this mean wait? ex: 5C -> 2D~6 -> j.C -> 9D~9 -> j.2D~C -> j.C -> .. -> 9D~9 -> 3D~3 -> j.236Bx5/cat2loop [~3500 tauntless, ~3650 with 2 taunts and 236CC] I'm trying to get back to a reasonable level of control over simple combos before relearning taunt looping... but I've only linked appropriately from that second j.C to the 9D~9 like once. And I don't know how I did it. I feel like I'm missing some sort of timing issue (also I end up doing a j.3D~C instead of a 2... is that particularly bad?)
Mystic d Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 i can't really say about the difference between the 3D and 2D. i don't think it should make too much of a difference considering you should be right up against your opponent after the 9D~9, but again i'm not 100% sure. in response to your first question, yes, the ... is a slight pause to adjust your spacing so you can continue the rest of the combo

Especially the taunt part. I've heard of mashing the d part, and the b cancel, but taunt? If you're mashing the taunt to come out something is very wrong. He's really busy though, I wouldn't want to burden him. The reason we didn't do that combo video before was the quality of footage wasn't up to par with what we wanted.

It would have to be something like this: 6a-> 2d~6 -> (j.2d~6 -> j.236b) x3 -> 236bbbbb or 6a-> 2d~6 -> j.2d~c -> j.2d~a -> j.9d -> j.d~6 -> j.c -> 9d~6 -> j.2d~6 -> 236bbbbb You might need to cancel the 6a to a Cat Spirit 1 to control spacing a bit better, but use your best judgement. I'll try these combos out and see if they work. Edit: On a side note rin, get August 27th and 28th off...unless you want to miss out on some BB festivities. You could also record some stuff.

I'm currently using 6A > 2D~6 > j.2D~C > j.C > j.5D~6 > j.C > .. > 9D~6 > j.2D~3 > 236Bx5 for around 2.4k damage. I tried extending the last bit by adding one more j.C > 9D~6 it looks like the opponent ends up slightly too high for Tao to continue with the CAT2 ender. Which is weird because there is a single taunt combo that has a similar string which does work. I guess it depends on the fact that the combo is started from a 6A. Anyway, I'm going to experiment more and see if there's a way to get some form of oki ender off antiair 6A.

Haha what? Which mission based combos could you be using more than taunt loops? Edit: Yeah, just went through challenge mode again, none of those combos are at all practical. Are you trolling?

Well the cat2 x3 combo is possible on hakumen, but only if you 5b first o-o... which is wierd. This is if he's on the ground though, as a AA, i dunno The mission base combo is pretty cool, and great in damage, but it is a pain in the ass to pull off consistently, there are two cancels in the beginning that you could drop easily if you phyche yourself out, 9d~5 is a fuckin pain in the ass, and the j.c -> delay -> 9d~9 -> delay -> 2d~6 -> 236bbbbb on character specific is annoying as all hell. It doesn't really get effected online if you have the motion, unless there's a lag spike, which is annoying as HELL lol...
