IIRC that last "official" tier list for #R went something like this: S - Eddie (lol) A - Jam, Slayer B - Robo-Ky, Millia, Dizzy C - Sol, Bridget --------"survival borderline (or some shit)"-------- D - Axl, Venom, Faust E - Johnny, Baiken, Potemkin, Testament F - I-No, May, Zappa, Ky G - Chipp, Anji I know S through C are the characters I listed for sure. I know Axl was D tier for sure, and Chipp and Anji were G tier for sure. Everyone else I can't recall for sure, but I think it was what I listed.

Uh... barely. I only remember bits and pieces. I'll try my best though. S - Ky A - Sol, Testament, Faust, Potemkin, ABA B - Chipp, I-No, Slayer, Anji, May, Baiken, Venom, Johnny, Axl, Millia, Jam C - Order Sol, Eddie, Zappa, Dizzy, Bridget D - Robo-Ky I know Ky was S tier for sure. Sol, Testament, and Faust were A for sure. I remember Chipp, I-No, Slayer, and Anji were B tier for sure, but I've heard of Anji being ranked A sometimes as well. Everyone else between A and B may have been A or B. I know Order Sol, Eddie, Dizzy, and Bridget were C tier for sure, and Robo-Ky was D tier for sure as well.

And what the hell ABA was A Tier??? I thought that the reason why she good in AC was because of her double keygrabs(and of course some other good things) to conserve blood packs?? She usually ran out of blood packs in Slash and was forced to play in normal mode. Whatever, all of us here play AC over Slash so its not like it matters.

If you bothered reading what I posted after the list I specifically stated I wasn't sure on some characters' listings aside from a few. ABA could've been B tier by the time Slash ended, but I can't remember.

Sol should be B tier simply from easy loop ( not to hate on him but he has good priority if ****USED RIGHT***, and he can do a high max damage). IMO

Maybe I didn't understand what you meant, so maybe you should be more specific. From what you said you make it seem like you said having easy, high damage combos should make his rank go up. I'm not sure how I could have misinterpretted this.

If character difficulty was a factor in a character's rank on a tier list, then Eddie wouldn't be S tier for sure. Unless the character's best combos are all 1 frame links (thusly making them highly impractical), the difficulty of combos is not a factor in determining tier lists.

Lets see. Your saying not having a loop or high damage doesnt factor into any tier list. Its not really about loop, also having great oki or mixup either doesnt factor into the list. When I said easy............ it can be done from variable setups, nothing about the actual inputs or character specifics.

I don't think P.C actually tries to play it really safe or anything. Just in comparison it looks as if P.C tries to play the game without using setups as much, more of a bit like go with the flow. This always has been his play style though.

Another thing to note that in SBO2006 neither isa nor P.C got actually far. Koichi did one OCV allowing both kaqn and isa to advance and then they all got OCV'd by a Ky player. I recall P.C losing to an Potemkin player in second round denying his team any form of victory. So if you're talking about Sol performance, it hasn't changed much, except that P.C now got 4th because his ass got carried to that spot.

I think the whole thing with Sol is that he's average now, he can do 250 or so at best which is easily done by OS or some other character with fafnir into combo for 200. Damage difference is 50, but I doubt those characters will be having nightmares over that... And then if Sol fucks around against OS he'll be eating a lvl3 combo which does 250 easily. And compared to other characters his option span isn't that big, so Sol is good, but other characters are generally better at the moment.

There are more videos where Sols lose to Order Sols but I didn't post them, I was just posting the ones where Isa DIs like an idiot and two of them just so happened to be against HOS. If you look on the sidebar of the Kaqn vs Isa match you can see him lose 2 more times or so though. I really don't think Sol has reached his growth potential largely because of the players but that's just what I think.

There's also a vid where kaqn loses to random dping from a Sol, you seem to have failed to notice that. There are even vids of isa winning with DI. Though imagine this for a sec: you have no health, your opponent has full health and you're Sol(very important), what estimates would you give on chances to still win that round?

Now there are things that can rapidly change the outcome of a round and perhaps a match, such as IKs, but those are pretty worthless. DI is one phase below them and actually has the possibility to hit something.

If HOS does have an advantage in this matchup, it's quite minor. Any match with KZO in it doesn't count cuz that dude has a fucked-up style of play.

If you watch KZO closely you'll notice his play style is really good. For example in the KZO vs isa match he actually guards a whole lot and tends to only SV when he knows it's going to hit. In contrast it seems isa forgot how guard works in that match:8/: The double SV against Ogawa was a counter mixup to the SV FRC throw done earlier, generally in that match he took Ogawa completely by surprise. Though in SBO2006 he got a little nervous against KA2:(

Uh, no. Read again. I said a character's difficulty curve does not factor in to their ranking on tier lists. Having good oki, mix up, high damage combos, etc. does. The difficulty of said oki, mix up, high damage combos, etc. does not.

I thought it was interested when I cleary said nothing about May's dolphin loop difficulty, I really dont think your trying to understand what was being said.
