But this still brings up some points for discussion. -Lambda completely outzones us -Now that our Lobelia dissapears, we can't trade hits like before :8/: -Lambda also has more damage options than us, although we may beat her if we get her in the corner. So...discuss if you've ever played a Lambda over there

What I do is just try to rush down and chip at her health using short combos and meaty A lobelias after knockdowns, But I know lambda has that weird barrier DP thing so i guess you just gotta try and bait that while trying to lock her down with block strings. But although at full screen you can still attack her. since her swords got circumcised and the tackle won't reach full screen i'm pretty sure.

This = no. D swords eat both Lobelia and Pumpkin. Full screen is not an option. Her tackle is fast, but both versions are unsafe on block. Focus on closing in which should be easier now that her 5D and 5C got neutered. Her sword wave and wheel shouldn't really be a problem. George is a good tool. Actually, I think now that he doesn't jump he goes under Lambda's 5D. Her DP is also unsafe on block so bait it. She can only do it like maybe twice per match (cool down time on that thing is a bitch). Your pokes are good against her too. Basically it comes to RTSD and making sure to keep pressure on her with mix ups. If she jumps, 6A still works pretty well. Don't try to zone her as she can shut down your zoning by just pressing D. Also- make sure you don't get cornered because Lambda has a corner loop that happens to work REALLY well on Rachel.

What pokes do you suggest work really well on lamabda? because as it stands on ct, none of your attacks beat any of hers. she normals reach out much further, have shorter recovery , and faster start-up then everything that rachel has up close. and remember folks 3c with u-11/v-13 rapes rachel =D
sanshiki Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 6CD is good here sparingly. Goes through 5D ala hurricane kick in SF4. Otherwise really just wait till she whiffs a sword and wind yourself in. Floating around with a trigger finger on wind helps to get you out of the way when Lambda tries to nail you with swords. Having Lambda on any disadvantage even when you're not near her is a good start. Be wary of air throws and 236C and you'll be golden. Keep lambda knocked down and honest. Extending combos without a knockdown is a sure way of getting into trouble when you overuse wind with a jailfree lambda. Keep gauge for tempest dahlia to hard counter abuse of sword spikes. You will find 2a a reliable pressure tool within the right range. use 3Dj.A/B or air lobelia in anticipation of 3Cs. Reliable example combos: Standing: 2A (2B hitconfirm+low) 5B 3D j.B j.C 5BD 6CC 5B 3C pumpkin summon. Crouching: xx 5B 5CC recover. peak9jump lvl 2 3Dj.2C recover, dash 3C pumpkin. All attempts to bring lambda nearer to the corner. Once there, summon frog instead. Off random hits try to rack up as much meter as possible keeping one wind in stock. You need meter for emergency Tempests or CAs. Blow your meter asap for damage when you can, even off a prorated low.
