yashanyu1 Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 I might ask as well. Would it be possible to create acts? Well you can just edit the ACT files in photoshop using color table
Circuitous Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 Hey circuitous, do you have the .act files for the DLC palettes of characters? My apologies if you already posted them in one of the links, but I can't find it. Some of them, but most aren't ripped yet. Just one of those things I've been slowly working on. I might ask as well. Would it be possible to create acts? Yes, it's possible to create new ACT files. Note that I only know how to create them in Photoshop, if you're using a different program you'll have to work it out yourself. In the case of Photoshop CS3 (and for all of the CS series, I think), go to Image > Mode > Color Table to bring up the current palette. When you've made whatever changes you want to make, just click Save. You can now apply this palette to any of that character's sprites.
Bolverk-GTM Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Yep, exactly what Circuitous said. I make ACTs for every custom palette that I create and I usually keep saving them as I make the palette. It's a whole lot easier to revert mistakes and compare palettes to nail the shading that way.
Putin Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I recently downloaded all of the OP's stuff, thanks for sharing. However, I don't seem to see some of Hazama's Story Mode art. I certainly remember three: one in which he's surrounded by Ouroboros (usually right before battle), another one in which he's surrounded by the green aura shit, and last the one after he gets beat up, struggling and stuff. I think the last two are CS only. He's also in Terumi/Fedoraless mode. Any ideas where I can find the missing bases and their face parts?
DaNaru250 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Were are the voices of the DLC's? I mean, Valkenhein, Makoto, Mu-12 and Platinum???
Circuitous Posted August 13, 2011 Author Posted August 13, 2011 Good question. I don't know, I never ripped any voices.
Vulcan422 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I know there are several people who have. Anyone can always resort to ripping sounds from MUGEN conversions or something, or trying to find them on random boards.
SolarMisae Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I'd love to have Moo-chan's sound clips for ring tones and whatnot. ;w; I dunno what ripping those files entails though. Time to look through random boards.
Circuitous Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 People on Mugen-Guild were ripping voices but I don't know how far they got, or if they did any DLC characters at all. Good place to start looking, though.
Diamondshatter Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Are any of the Platinum sprites can be used for moving gifs?
Dignity Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Are any of the Platinum sprites can be used for moving gifs? They all should be. I've made a few gifs with plat. All of the sprites can be used to make gifs. Oh, while I'm at it-- Thank you very much for these Circ!
Vyral Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Up of this old thread. @ Circ, have you finished the Continuum Shift story mode character artwork ?
Circuitous Posted October 11, 2011 Author Posted October 11, 2011 Actually, I couldn't remember if I had finished or not. I have. I'm not sure why I didn't post it yet. I'll start uploading it all here in a moment.
Circuitous Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 Get 'em while they're hot. Notes: Each character with multiple pieces comes in a PSD file, one file for each "pose".Each piece (mouths, eyes, eyebrows, etc.) is its own layer, in its own layer group, and is already positioned.Layers are individually named according to their placement. These files are usable in Photoshop, GIMP, and any program that supports the PSD file format.Simply toggle visibility on the layers you want to use. Some characters have easter eggs.Characters that have no parts are simply PNG files.
Zaiaku Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 You're the best, Circ... Now, if only Paint.NET could open PSD files...
Tong Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Thank you for this circ, makes everthing simpler for those who can't understand well the program.
Urichinan Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Thanks Circ! I can't wait to mess around with these.
Vulcan422 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 I'm using GIMP on the story mode art and I don't know how to swap between layers to view the other eye/mouth parts.
Circuitous Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 You're the best, Circ... Now, if only Paint.NET could open PSD files... It does, you just need a plugin. I tested the idea on Paint.NET before doing it. http://psdplugin.codeplex.com/ I'm using GIMP on the story mode art and I don't know how to swap between layers to view the other eye/mouth parts. Click the Eye next to a layer. Usually, only the highest of a given set (eyes, mouths, etc.) will show up, so it's best to hide everything and only show one at a time.
AkihikoSanada Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Thank you so so so so much for that. I love you.
