You put up a pretty good fight against _SH. I don't have that much experience against Baiken but I know that its frustrating poking her because of her counters. But just remember when you do a fS you can cancel it into 5D (which I saw you do ) and 2K which will dodge or beat out her HS counter. If you cancel a move into pogo against her and she blocks it remember to press 66 to avoid that HS counter _SH often got you with. But yeah when you're pressuring her fS is your safest move because of all the options you have at avoiding her stupid counters.

yeah i did not know that when i went into the match, that was my first time fighting a good baiken period and Sean happened to be amazing i know the match up way better now since you play baiken completely different from everyone else he was the only person at final round i played that consistently beat the crap outta me so it was kinda fitting that he put me into losers..... every other match i pretty much knew im going to try and see if i can somehow find the matches i had between Robot(So) and rudy(Za) those were really good...esp. Robot

5s pogo without a hit confirm off of CH is a nono in my book but you did alright, just try not to be a little wreckless with the offense you have enough options to keep him out and at your bay.

i do it to bait and it does work and is safe on most characters except for baiken.... i don't play as aggressive as i used to but i still play how i play....i overwhelm

I think you did pretty well, the only thing that stood out for me is that you only flower bounced Potem once, since he is so big I usually juggle him a few times before GMW.

vs pot: You can almost always gattling 2d into 5k and combo or even gattling 2d into 2s and combo. Against sol just rember the gap between u n sol always cuz a whiffed move can easily land into one of those sol air dashin combos. entertaining fights overall gs.

like i said in the vid thread, you need to throw more items and not drop so many combos you also have to knockdown more...intstead of ending your combos with jp/jk>jhs end it with jk>jd this allows you to knock down your opponent which equals to= moarrr mixups you need to know your character completley first before you can learn matchups and i don't think anyone will disagree with me on that biggest problem is you do not throw enough items at all esp against ABA and Venom... and in that matchup...well shit every match-up that is very important.(did you notice every round you threw alot of items you did good and the ones you got raped you threw damn near none?) know what each item does: what areas they cover......what might your opponent do as a reaction of you throwing these certain items...what can you do so they can get hit by theses items. just throwing them out there and praying they hit is not proper Faust play learn what you can get off of counter hits on every move and how to finish combos(FlashMetriod rule: need to do it perfectly 10 times in a row then you got it)...learn how to FDC properly so that your wakeup game won't be limited to 2k<--very important once that is completed your match-up experience on those characters will come alot easier because me telling you to FRC the 214k doors on venom and grab him while he plants balls and set up a command grab trap/fdc.jk-to combo or mixup on wakeup might be a bit much since i didn't even see you FRC once or command grab oh yeah and go to youtube...type in search RF Accent core....study from this man

appreciate the tips..i have been watchin RF videos and tryin to take it in I had gotten out of using jk-jd because alot of times, i'm too far away from the JD to hit...so i just use the not knockdown combo to give myself distance I had also decided after recording those videos, that i wanted to try and get rid of wakeup, just keep distance. Too many times i get beat with dragon punches and supers on wakeup that i felt like it was unnecessary toe ven try wakeup hits, just keep my distance instead I'm tryin to always throw an item when i get the chance, against these players, i've been messing up when i want to throw them, because they often rush in and hit me while i'm open from the item throw...and i play on pad and have been not gettin motions to work sumtimes (if u notice in the aba video, at the beginning of the match i'm verbally sayin how an item was supposed to be thrown after 2k) I just learned drill cancel like last week so i am tryin to figure out how to use that up close, rather than just using it to position myself in the air where i want to for a j.h Doors i really only use for positional advantage. I use against projectiles to be able to get a hit in to punish ky and venom....when i can think about it lol I've only been into this game since december when i picked up faust, and i dont get alot of gametime against experience players either, but now i'm runnin around to tournaments and all and posting up on here so i'm hoping to better my game

it may seem funny but thats wat every faust should be doing wen they have the opportunity to do so cuz:

1. Your totally avoiding chip damage

2. you don't waist any tension from blocking

3. you actually move in closer and increasing you chances of getting the first poke right after its done -> wich leads ur opponent into blocking instead of you having to block the next attack string

great improvement all you need is to learn the little tricks to advance your mixup game(fdc j.k, taunt mixup) your getting the command throw down your doing frc's :yaaay: :yaaay:

also with certain tips against po : his body is big but relaunching when he gets hit by pogo from afar is usually a no no since his body slides weird....also with looping be careful because if he tech'd out when he should of you could of ate huge damage.

also getting out of slidehead traps.... !post up on the pogo and throw items every chance you get! ....it's safe and puts you into a good position..... 1) because slidehead is not a factor anymore and he can't get over to you without getting fucked up....why? 2) because if he tries hammerfall while your on pogo you do GOING MY WAY...learn to predict it and po won't attack so recklessly

all in all i see you throwing more items, finishing combo's, and playing alot smarter great improvement overall def doesn't look like the same player from the last batch of vids you had..

definetly been more focused on my defense, even the local top players in my area (moroha, 4r5, etc) have noticed. Everytime i get in pogo and i see potemkin goin for hammerfall, i always feel like GMW is too slow on startup to get 2 hits before he hits me. But...i will have to actually try it to get the hang of it. I'm also trying to adapt to keep throwing items until i get the one i want. Build a wall, wait for a bomb or a mini toon and then be satsifed and come up with a game plan. Hopefully we'll get sum more footage and get them up soon.
