kousaka Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 hmm yeah i haven't had alot of luck with 2b as anti air either in this matchup... i agree with inspector0da though.. litchi will usually use JB as air to ground since it goes into JA or JC.. JC is mostly used as air to air.. not much you can do about JC though but if your spaced correctly j214A teleport can make it whiff allowing for a free air throw from behind
Nakkiel Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 -litchi 6D is punishable with 5A>6B if they dont' RC -when you setup clouds/bells they will use 2D staff set then throw the stick at you which will go upward and back along the ground Unless you're talking about inbetween the hits of 6D (which I'm not even sure you can punish even with IB), then no, 5A will not punish 6D. 6D(2) is +2 on normal block, even if you IB she's only -3. 6D(1) - ItsuuD (the cancel) done as fast as possible is +1, so on IB it's -4. Both of those situations can not be 5A'd. You mean 5D staff set, not 2D.

You should never use 2C unless you hit with 2A/have a guaranteed punish on something. EVER. rofl. lol i usually dont do it so randomly unless i got curse but this was when i was at the point of not caring anymore cuz litchi jus makes me really depressed lol

How often does your Arakune is in a ground vs air situation vs Litchi?
Nakkiel Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 sorry yeah i mean between the two hits of 6D, but i guess im wrong and they didn't cancel into itsuu You shouldn't try to do a non-invulnerable move in between the hits anyways, I'm pretty sure that there's no gap if the shoulder-tackle part of the move hits later in to the active frames. 2B isn't going to work against j.B[m] unless it reaches really high up. You have to hit Litchi's legs and the staff hits pretty far under her.

Lord Knight Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Bang's jC is mediocre at best as a jump in Arakune 2B won't beat Litchi's jB[m] jump in, just force them to block the 5C when she lands. She shouldn't even be approaching Arakune at that angle anyways.

InspectorOda Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Looks like some things need clearing up. 2B vs air attacks is only to anti air your opponent's air to ground attempts. jB for Litchi is air to ground, while jC is air to air. jB will always beat 2B no matter what. Low profile won't affect it, and even CT 2B was cleanly beat it out by jB. Therefore, 2B was useless in this matchup, and still is useless in this matchup. And that's not even factoring in j2D~BC approaches. And Litchi is one of the best characters to force Arakune to stay on the ground. So yeah, you'll be in air vs ground situations a lot.
