I was wondering whats the best stick I should get, I prefer circle gates, with balltop sticks, NOT SO HUGE, and what if my stick like breaks, its buttons are clunky and unresponsive etc. Also, anyone know how I can mod my PS2 cheaply and easily? Does modding also mess up your PS2? Because I played my friend's modded PS2 and it took a couple of tries to play KH2 and ONIMUSHA4. P.S. CANT WAIT FOR GGX2/

I think the cheapest and easy way to mod the Ps2 is the slide card. It cost $20-$30 and it's so easy to use and install, took me like ten minutes to be able to use the slidecard.

Interesting... Where can I find this "slide card"? Also since my brother won't let me mod his PS2 I have to buy a brand new one. Will the slide card work on the new one?

Slide card is for the PS2fat. For the PS2slim, get swap magic, then use some tape/glue.

Okay I'm going on a online shopping spree. What necessary items do I need to mod my PS2! Also I want a good ball top stick that has Sol on it, can someone give me a link to that stick?

oh that one isnt actually crappy but i dunno if you can get em anymore, its super fucking sensitive and has pretty much zero tolerance if you move it, wish that shit had a SF layout.

Hm, where did you all order Slash from? PlayAsia is 50 dollars with 3.10 shipping and Lik-Sang is 60 dollars total. Mayhaps Lik-Sang comes faster though. Or maybe there is a completely different site I should order from?

Can someone give me a guide or something in installing my slide card? My friend told me all I have to do is eject the PS2, turn off the power, flip the PS2 over, then unscrew the screws, then fiercely take off the PS2 logo cover, and thats all I remembered...

go to modchipstore.com then click on the slidecard and then installing the slidecard, it gives pictures tells you what to do step by step. DO IT !!! :bad: yeah its as easy as your friend said, unscrew little screw, take the PS logo off which is the hardest part but mine popped out with ease then put the screw you took off back in. now you need to know where to insert the slidecard, which isn't hard.

I bought a PS2 slimline tonight because my old one was broken. I don't want to have to wait for a flip top to arrive in the mail, so I tried to duct tape the sensors to fool the machine. I found two sensors, and taped them, but so far no luck (disk does not spin while top is open). Any advice? Is there anything else I'm missing? Edit: Just found a third sensor, will report back in a few minutes. Edit 2: Still no luck :-/ Edit 3: Working fine now. Awesome.

A third? I only had to tape down two points. Where was the third one? What version is your PS2slim?

Thank you muchly :o. I actually forgot I asked this and just ordered that shit. But good thing I found a nice place to order from. Best prices I've seen. And holy crap Slash came today and I chose the cheapest shipping. Took 1 day. Wish I had the slide-card though.

Alright, second day I already fucked up. Trying to use the slide card, don't know what I did wrong. Using the eject button (or my hand) the tray will only go slightly in and out. The rest of the way I can force it, but it makes a sound that doesn't sound pleasant. What I notice is the little white button in the disk drive, when pushed is what brings the drive in (point of the slide card is to move this apparently), and it travels along a white path. Thing is it reaches the end of the path (right end I believe) before the drive is all the way in. Can this be corrected, and if not can I still use the swap disk crap? I would think one way to fix it would be hold the buttons in place, and push the tray all the way to the bottom, and then put the button all the way to the right. Seems like something is out of line. OK, I tried it again and the tray worked fine, BUT when I tried to use the swap magic it didn't work, and only came out a little. When I pushed it back in and tried to open it, it didn't open at all. So, it "broke" again. Very weird. Actually the way I seemed to fix it was by just trying my slide card, while I was holding my PS2 sitting here posting. It seems like something that happens whenever I attempt to open the disk tray. I've tried on 5 seperate occasions. First time I tried the game just didn't load, 2nd time worked, 3rd time I used the eject button to close it and it didn't work, and 4th and 5th it got fucked up.
