Rift Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 I'm certain you could convert the original GG to a popsloader format. (The PSOne emulation on custom firmware) The only problem would be the PSP's terrible d-pad. (that thing's a pain for me any time I try to play SLASH on there) Granted it wouldn't exactly be a UMD format, but one could make it into an executable that runs off the memory stick. Also along those lines, GG is actually for sale in the japanese playstation store. (For download to both PS3 and PSP) For those of us NOT in japan however, I could maybe work some magic and conjure up a working PSP version. (If anyone's interested. ) I know you say just a posterity question, but out of my own curiosity, why do you ask? I've got GG1 on my psp, it's floating around...online...somewhere. And if you have trouble with the PSP's D-Pad (as everyone on the face of the planet does), then you need to do this: http://www.ufighterx.com/guides/videogame/pspdpadfix/pspdpadfix.htm It made GG playable, basically. Attempting shoryu won't make you enraged.

Circuitous Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 I actually found an NES sleeve stashed away in a closet right before doing that modification. It was amazingly lucky (and amazingly effective).
Abominable K Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 My hardware skill sucks, so I messed up the mod . Fortunately, I was able to undo it.
Sunnyday Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Hi guys. i'm not sure if a Analoge pad on our PsP (playstation portale) counts as a Joystick. But i realy need to ask your guys some questions about joysticks in general.. First of all: what is up with it's hyper sensvity of that analoge pad on my psp?? and secound: want is up with my contant Faill at those joysticks on those japanese arcane machines?? Every time i try to do this: 236 Instead it goes like this: 2369 And when i try to do this: 632146 Instead it goes like this: 6321476 I have put "Input" on, and i never manage to do or in a proper matter. it always show up in anything but those two things i wanted to do. sometimes i even end up trying to do "side head" 9 freaking times before it even is performed... I never have this probleem with pad controlls (both on PS2 and PSP.) i always have this probleem with joysticks and that analoge pad on my psp. Soo.. Is there a way to fix my PsP analoge pad controlls in a proper matter? because it simpley looks like a 0.1 mm of moment can simply send your charater jumping instead of just performing your moves. And also, Where can i learn to handel Joysticks in a proper matter? because i always mess it up, no matter what i do. Thanks in advance PS: my D-pad on my PsP got broken i put a D-pad mod on my psp d-pad so that i can performed alot of 236 and 63214 moves, put after playing with it for like 4-5 hours in total, i broke like 50% of the springs inside my d-pad controll . Now i gotta have to call the playstation repair sevice and pay alot of money for that . or maybe even end up buying a new one. I never fell so sad
Teyah Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Every time i try to do this: 236 Instead it goes like this: 2369 And when i try to do this: 632146 Instead it goes like this: 6321476 Keep your hands 'lower' on the joystick while performing the commands - stay away from the 7/8/9 directions as much as possible while still getting the moves out. If you're failing because you are now doing something like 321 instead of 63214, slightly adjust your motions to go more vertical until you become familiar with the stick's amount of sensitivity. For the psp's analog stick.. same idea I guess. But if that thing sucks as much as the psp d-pad, it could just be a design flaw in the hardware.

Well it is the first line of PsP's that i brought in japan. So yes it can be a design flaw. i geuss i gonna have to buy a new one. if the repair costs will become too high. And thanks on the advice i will try it out

And no, Eddie's shadow is not a projectile, it stays frozen during super freeze.
Teyah Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Hm you're right DH, Eddie's shadow doesn't freeze at all when he does his air super - or if it does, it's for a very very short time. For the ground super, the shadow freezes [edit] almost as usual, but gets to move a few frames before it normally should. For Eddie's IK, the superfreeze for the shadow is very short (shorter than for the enemy). If the enemy Eddie does super / IK, superfreeze time is as it should be; the opposing Eddie's shadow is frozen, though the Eddie performing the super / IK can move his own shadow early. In other situations with any other character performing super freeze on Eddie/shadow, everything behaves as normal. Very strange stuff, seems like a bug with Eddie since it applies to all of his superfreeze moves to varying degrees.

BlueMoonDragon Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Um... Anyone know where I can get the voice sets of GGXXAC? >< Or even wallpapers of GGXXAC? I know I've seen their thread somewhere but I can't seem to find it >< Sorry for the trouble and thanx in advance ^^
rtl42 Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 for voice sets, you can ask in the Audio/Video Help & Request thread, but i'm not guaranteeing anyone will be able to help you. there really isn't any sort of online resource centre that has the voice sets available, so it's "hit or miss". for wallpapers, you can try www.guiltygearx.com -> Arcade and browse around for downloadable stuff. (you mean official artwork as wallpapers, right? otherwise, you can try the wallpaper stickied thread in the Zepp Museum forum.)
bungiefan Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I rip the voice files to MP3 now and then through plugging my PS2's audio right into the line-in on my handheld MP3 recorder, but it takes time, and it only holds 128 MB at a time. It also shuts off from overheating after about 20 minutes of use. I generally only do one set (A, B, or C) for one character at a time, depending on what seems to be requested.
BlueMoonDragon Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 That would be great bungiefan ^o^ I'm really looking for Eddie's, Zappa's, I-no's, Potemkin's, and ABA's voice sets. I tried everywhere and I don't know how to rip them from my game; ;
BlueMoonDragon Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Oh my god!!! Blade I can almost worship you if I didn't have another god to worship ( Hello Kitty ) Thanx a lot, that program works great. Oh and playing with Eddie's laughs and slowing them down is really hilarious, makes them Poty-like :P
ejdge Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Question about the combo/beat system. If beat turns dark, does that mean the combo was techable before the last hit, or after?
Twinniss Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 that means its invalid(it was techable before the last hit)
ansem Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 when will the makers of guilty gear make a new guilty gear and change their outfits and put new characers and bring kliff & Justice back its time for something new
Beowulf Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 PSound is a program you can use to scan the file ACData.bin/XXData.bin or whatever "data.bin" file is in the GG games. It produces a list of small waves, then you can adjust the playback speed/extract it. So far I've found PSound works with GG, GGXX, GGXX#R, Slash, and AC, and most likely AC+ Is there a way to modify these waves with others ? I'm interested in changing some voice sets, for example putting back baiken's from GGXX#reloaded into GGXXAC.
Battle-Jesus Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 Question about I-No... Did anyone else pick up on her Masochism? /for the uneducated; Masochism is enjoyment of being in pain
Kjorteo Posted February 7, 2008 Posted February 7, 2008 I-No isn't a masochist; she's a sadist. A literal sadist, as in, she gets off on tormenting others. Especially Dizzy.
