njmamm Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 236236B > adjust 214D~C > 5C > 2C > 6D~A > 4D~A > delayed 623D > jump forward j.6D~D > 2C > 4D~A > 4D~D > j.214B# (character specific) just a new variation. i think it will work Wait this works? I thought there was too much recovery on Jakou or something like that...
ZhePrime Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Wait this works? I thought there was too much recovery on Jakou or something like that... Just barely, on certain characters. Might not be worth practicing if they're gonna nerf Haz's Drive speed with the upcoming patch (meaning this and a couple of other combos will no longer work, or work as they did before).
njmamm Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I see. Well, it's good to know. If you don't mind me asking, which characters does it work on?
ZhePrime Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I see. Well, it's good to know. If you don't mind me asking, which characters does it work on? Fat characters. Tager, Taokaka, Rachel, Arakune and Hakumen. If you fight a lot of Tagers there are easier combos you can do that still deals tons of damage, that will also (probably) function if they nerf Haz's Drive speed.
njmamm Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Cool, thanks a bunch. My Hazama needed a little more variety. XD
Eclipse Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 You can actually do 3x 4D's on most of the cast (gonna check tomorrow if it doesn't work on say, Carl, and I'll edit this post). Also, the "Adjust" part doesn't have to involve any movement on Hazama's part, you can just stand still and get pushed back by the grab until you reach the range at which 4D will cause long hitstun. Edit: Yup, 3x 4D works on everyone. Does 2895 dmg. Thanks for the find, I'll edit this out within a few days. And I put adjust there just in case Hazama isn't at the right angle at the given time.
Black Onslaught Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 hazama can do 3x 4Ds on -everyone- in the cast from corner f.throw ( haven't tested valk/mu, but I've done it on everyone else so unless valk has a gdlk hitbox then yeah )
Hol Horse Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 im not sure if this has already been posted or if its even useful but... neutral throw > 6D-A > 8D-A > 623D i havent tested it against everyone but it works on jin
Fireryda Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 8D~A?... and thats like a default throw combo... >_>; cmon seriously?
Eclipse Posted October 5, 2010 Author Posted October 5, 2010 I'm pretty sure he meant j.9D~A. But yeah, we've known that for a while now. Works on Litchi and Jin.
SolBroken Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Here are a few Neutral Throw/Backthrow to Air Throw combo's that work well on Tager. (If they work on anyone else, please let me know) Backthrow > 5D-D > Air Throw Damage: -2060 Backthrow > 5D-A > 5D-D > Air Throw* Damage: -2304 Delay 5D-D for about half-second, then continue. Also, this throw does not link into 2D-D > etc. Neutral Throw > [6D-A x 2] > 6D-D > Air Throw* Damage: -2679 *This Air Throw links into: Air Throw > 4D-D > 5C > 2C > 4D-A > 4D-D > j.214B# Air Throw > 2D-D > 2B > 5C > 4D~A > 4D-D > j.214B# I even made a video so you can see for yourself. Crappy, but you can see what's going on, lol.
SolBroken Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 umm.. wouldn't they pink throw? Yeah, totally forgot that.
Tazelot Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Question! Sorry if this one's been answered before but these 64 pages are a hassle to go through ^^' here goes: 236236B (FC) > (Back Dash) j.9D~A > (Land) 623D > (Back Jump) j.6D~D > 5C > 4D~A > 4D~D > j.214B# Damage: ~5755 This one above, one of the combos in the FP, I just CAN'T get the Back Jump j.6D~D to hit. I'm trying against Ragna, I do a neutral 8 jump to j.9D~A and the SRK-D hits, but then, I just can't get that part to work. This would be ownage if I could get it to work since it seems as if it's the most damaging FC-combo :o please some advice or even better, a vid of someone doing it would be the best ^^ Thanks!
ZhePrime Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 @ SolBroken On Neutral throw on Tager, try: B+C, 6D~A, 6D~A, (6D~A), 623D, 66, 5C (don't cancel the dash into the 5C), j.c, j.Cx5, 2C, 4D~D, j.214B# Solid damage and doesn't depend on pink throws. It's also pretty easy to do. This one above, one of the combos in the FP, I just CAN'T get the Back Jump j.6D~D to hit. It's very difficult to do. Here's some useful pointers Personally I'd hold off on learning this combo atm, since if they will indeed nerf Hazama's Drive speed with the upcoming patch, this combo will most likely not work anymore, making all the time you spent on learning it useless. If it's still there after the patch then by all means learn it, in the meantime there's tons of other stuff you can learn.
SolBroken Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 @ SolBroken On Neutral throw on Tager, try: B+C, 6D~A, 6D~A, (6D~A), 623D, 66, 5C (don't cancel the dash into the 5C), j.c, j.Cx5, 2C, 4D~D, j.214B# Solid damage and doesn't depend on pink throws. Seifuuku Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 so, can you get relaunch off command grab on taokaka/arakune? anyone know the exact combo to do so, if you can? also.. here is a 5.2k gold burst combo burst->[4d] x3->623d->3c->236236b->[6d] x3->623d->632146c
GigaDrive Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I found out you can Red Beat a simple 5D with his "Eternal Coils of The Dragon Serpent" distortion. Input i used was 5D > (While the snake was latched on) 632146C. Its a 12 hit and i thought it was a good move to pull when just long distance poking, also a good way to use the attack outside of a combo, and a good way to do damage while keeping some distance. I wasn't sure if anyone knew this, but iv had a few guys yell going "You can do that!?"
Fireryda Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 chains are special cancellable so naturally they're distortion cancellable. It gives less damage than a BnB but it's unburstable so it may be worth using at times..

Arifureta Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Mizuchi's not really practical unless it's going to kill. Plus you're wasting knockdown opportunity by going for the DD instead of BnB.
GigaDrive Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 2300 damage seems like a good poke if your going against something like a good Valkenhayn. I find myself snake pokin at Zero hour so it seems like a good thing for a trump card. Makes em feel a bit more fear from my snakes.
Fireryda Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 3. Drive Starter Combos 5D~D > j.2C > (Land) 5B > 3C > 214D~C > (Dash) 5C > 2C > 4D~D > j.214B# Damage: ~2381 5D~C > j.B > (Land) 5B > 3C > 214D~C > (Dash) 5C > 2C > 4D~D > j.214B# Damage: ~2366 j.6D~C > j.B > (Land) 5B > 3C > 214D~C > (Dash) 5C > 2C > 4D~D > j.214B# Damage: ~2432 j.D~D > j.B > (JC) j.C > (JC) [j.C x 5] > j.214B 5D~A (CH) > 5D~D > (Any Drive Starter Combo starting from j.2C or j.B) They do about the same amount of damage except one you gain like ~30-40 heat and the other you use 50 heat. Maybe if they might burst you can go for it but I think rekkazan is negative on hit but they're really far away so it kinda balances out.
Eclipse Posted October 9, 2010 Author Posted October 9, 2010 I'd say Mizuchi Rekkazan is only practical if you're killing them with it and winning the round. Wasting 50 heat instead of gaining 30-40 and knockdown is simply a bad idea. But hey, flashiness is awesome. So if you can manage to win everytime doing it, go ahead.
