On another note, any advice for a Fina/Troll/Cursehead or Mara team? I'm debating which anchor to pick and general tips on my characters in general. I've read the SRK wiki stuff on this but I was wondering if someone had something of their own to contribute.

Nightmare Blade item for Mara anchor, Earth Hammer for Cursehead in case you're curious.

It really has been far too long since I've updated that wiki. My bad.

If you're running Nightmare Blade with Troll, you can do some dirty unblockables in the corner with the SA after a command grab to 6B. Gimmicky, but gives you options. I'd also like to point out that Fina doesn't really gain anything from Earth Hammer, but does gain a damage boost from Nightmare Blade, so if you're interested in "maximizing your damage potential" or something to that effect, you'd be better off with Mara as anchor in that setup since Cursehead should pretty much always have Earth Hammer.

Orc has really good normals, great for building meter and would get a slight damage boost from either of your item choices, but doesn't really have much use for them otherwise. Of course, this isn't really a problem if you're using him as a battery and such.

Vargan is solid in pretty much any position, but his playstyle is a little bit weird and takes some getting used to. Nightmare Blade is a pretty good option for him 'cause you can use the IB as an alternative to his super after you land a wall-bounce with the 214A follow-up. It gives you the chance to reload and you save on bullets at the cost of damage. (I can't remember if I put that in the wiki or not...)

I hope that information was at least a little bit useful and not just things you already knew.

Yeah, I've pretty much settled into a team now. I run Vritra/Troll/Bernhard with Nightmare Blade and play around with other characters occasionally. Bernhard actually works really well as an anchor. Still need to get confirming into the loops down but I feel like this team has been working out the best so far.

Also you can't go wrong with Vritra.

Wiki's updated? Need to check that out.

Haha, no. I was implying that I had meant to, but hadn't done so. I might soon though. Sorry for the confusion.

Vritra AND Bernhard? Nice. I like how Troll is pretty much the only character you've stayed consistent with. Lol.

Have you managed to get Bernhard's loop down properly? It's fantastic once you get the hang of it. Also, I've been meaning to add it to the wiki, but I've been seeing a lot of Japanese players using 214C around fullscreen after they've gotten 1 bar of super. I always thought it was really risky, but as long as it doesn't miss, you have the perfect chance to use Blood Barrier.

Troll is probably my only actual main in this game. He's the best.

I think the big idea is that it moves really fast, and you can just manually release it on reaction to Nagar's dash super (clashes first hit) or jumping over it and be safe.

I'm pretty sloppy with the loop and rarely get any really good damage out of it but I've been having some pretty good results with just using him as a meter dump for the barrier.

Point Vritra with Nightmare Blade works pretty well since his meterless game with it is really strong and his stupid poking does really good damage and chip with it. It also works really well with both Bernhard and Troll for barrier damage and unblockables.

I can do about 3 reps of Vritra's infinite but no more really.

Here's an old video that someone posted and mirrored a few times over again that gives a good idea on how to space your j.Bs during Bernhard's loop. I figure a visual presentation might help as well.

Vritra doesn't even really need his infinite to kick everyone's ass, due largely to his retarded range and mobility options. I mean, it puts the fear of God into your opponents when they know that he can go into it off of far too many things, but you certainly don't need to rely on it. The hardest part for me (and what makes or breaks the infinite) is remembering to hit 3 after the hit so he doesn't bounce back.
