Choose a path in-between fights, win or lose a match, win by distortion finish, win throughout story mode by achieving a number of distortion finishes, win by astral finish, win or lose by time-out, achieve a double down, getting a perfect, etc.

KD Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Story Mode summary: -You start story mode with only Ragna's story available. -The stories for the other characters are unlocked by getting the Clear End from another character's story. -None of the story paths require astral heat or time up wins. -You also don't have to lose every goddamn fight to get 100%, in fact you don't have to lose unless it leads to another ending. -Every character besides Haku=men has three endings. The three endings are True, Alternate, and Joke. Alternate endings are also accompanied by a "Help me Doctor Kokonoe" segment after the ending for the character. Haku=men only has two because he didn't feel like having a joke ending. For whatever reason Hazama has to get his Alt ending and his Kokonoe skit seperately. Unlockables: -Get a clear/true ending for Ragna, Noel, Jin, Rachel, Tsubaki(not sure on this I might have caused this lol) Hakumen, and Hazama stories to unlock the True Story mode. -Clearing True Story unlocks Mu, her stage, and her theme Sword of Doom for the other modes. -100% a character's story mode to get the interview with their voice actor. Noel and Jin are exceptions just like CT(IE: Noel + Lambda, Jin + Hakumen) You can also get interviews with Kokonoe, Relius Clover, Jubei, Makoto, Valkenhayn, and Platina they unlock along with some characters and as you get the last couple stories 100%'d. -Getting 100% on every story unlocks an interview with Toshimichi Mori. -Interviews are found in the gallery by pressing R1 and scrolling down to the last option. -MU DOES NOT HAVE A STORY MODE Tip: If you are going for unlocking Mu in a hurry just shoot for doing all the First paths listed. They will get you a clear for every character and get you that True Story unlocked The order of this guide is: Ragna, Noel, Jin, Tager, Lambda, Taokaka, Bang, Carl, Litchi, Rachel, Arakune, Tsubaki, Haku=men, Hazama, and Truth End. Ragna - Stray Sheep Clear ending: Pick the first option after beating Carl. Unlocks Noel, Rachel, Tao, and Carl stories Alt ending: Lose to Rachel and then beat Jin Joke ending: Pick the second option after beating Carl. Noel - Desperation Clear ending: Pick the second option after beating Carl. Unlocks Jin and Tager stories Alt ending: Pick first option after beating Carl, pick first option after beating Bang. Joke ending: Pick first option after beating Carl, and pick third option after beating Bang. Jin - Decision Clear ending: Pick 2nd option at beginning. Alt: Pick 2nd option and lose to Unlimited Rachel Joke: Pick 1st option Tager - Loyalty Clear: Pick first option, pick first option after beating Lithchi, and pick first option after beating Unlimited Hazama. Re4L14124c Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 The joke endings are all...weird; they feel like they're hinting at important stuff, but then it's all meta (Carl's joke route is one where he remembers hanging out with Makoto, Noel, and Tsubaki, and it felt like something that could have been scripted into the main story if it was important, but then Ragna and Rachel shows up as principals, so I'm not sure what to think of it in terms of its importance). By the way, Hazama's joke route for the ladies.
