MisterBadguy Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 The main problem is none of you old heads really give a fuck about BlazBlue. This is understood. The games broken as hell. Unfortunatly, 90% of the BB forums are composed of strictly online players. End result, there's no one to answer questions a new player may have except for online scrubs (myself included.) Even if you purge all the BB threads of garbage info, they will likely fill up again. I really think the only way you guys can save this site is to seriously just get rid of BB all together, as Doomie said. As a showing of respect to this site as a long time lurker, I have deleted all bs/off the top of my head/theory fighting I have posted in matchup forums and sticking to the BB Online forum. Just trying to say sorry for being part of the problem. EDIT: Why doesn't someone just make a BlazBlue message board to compliment Dustloop? Or only give certain people the right to post in matchup threads? NECROEDIT: As BBCT is pretty much ONLY played online now, I don't see any problem with me posting now.
Circuitous Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 No one feels like putting in the effort/cash?
LazarusReturns Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Delete everyones account who was created post BBCT release date, and a month before. delete BB from the site. theres my fucking suggestion. i cant read shit on this sight for BB without reading a ton of worthless filler posts from people who are just theory fighting or online matchup experience. My brain feels warped. I just dont want to read shit from people who havent played a game, or played a game at high enough level for their info to be relevant in a match. This post brought to you by alcohol and frustration. Deleting the entire BB section of dustloop makes no sense what so ever. You are ripping on people who love to play the game because you dont like it. Heres a suggestion if you dont want to take the time to clean forums and the like then dont volunteer to be a fucking moderator. Better yet if you dont like BB, why are you reading the forums, theory fighting is apart of every games growth thats where GG started out as well as BB. "God i hate being so bored i actually read that shit on break at work." how bout you dont fucking read it then. Deleting nearly half the sites population is only going to weaken the group that plays BB and GG, there are several people who played GG as a result of coming here for BB. Further more, the comments on the mike z issue dont make any sense at all he is a good face for not only BB but for most fighting games he is in. People like him bring more people to the game then i dont see much negative there. I also have another fucking suggestion, stop sucking GGs dick thats what you should do. Its people like you who come out as fanboys and ruin the community with your useless whining and "drivel" about shit you werent forced to read. Im not knocking GG its a good game i actually played it due to coming to this site for BB as i had suggested others had done earlier. At the end of the day, your going to fucking weaken a community of people who love to play the game. This post is brought to you by the anti butt hurt campaign. "Purging" butt hurt moderators like you daily.
LazarusReturns Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Lets be honest its all about having fun and trying to learn some new shit and yet we come to find out your the reason fun doesnt exist.
Commanderoftroy Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 I agree that deleting the BB section of the site would only weaken the forums and you would stand less of a chance to bring new people to either game.
PhaethonH Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Some time ago I started a separate thread in this section ("Site Feedback...") for discussion/coordination relating to work on dustloop.wikia and that thread is gone now. I was wondering if the thread was removed by a mod due to policy/inappropriateness (then I won't restart thread), or if it died at the hands of gremlins (ok to restart thread)?
killionaire Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Unfortunately, the very nature of online forums makes it extremely difficult to filter out the bad and wildly inaccurate posts.. Especially if there aren't enough old-timers to correct those inaccuracies. Only way I can see to fix this is to converge BB facts and hard info into a source that cannot be influenced by everyone on the site.. Only those who have been entrusted to reliably provide such info would have access to editing the posts. That can still leave some room for speculation threads, but the relative veracity levels of the threads would decrease accordingly. I've been personally trying to help by not dabbling into topics that I know nothing about or limiting myself to clarification requests.
Blade Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 I do believe anyone who treats fighting games like a keg and bong party with side-betting is wildly inaccurate.
killionaire Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 I do believe anyone who treats fighting games like a keg and bong party with side-betting is wildly inaccurate. Well, not taking anything seriously is completely different. Either way, old-timers seem to have good intentions, but their method of implementing them seems way too radical.

TGS Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I do believe anyone who treats fighting games like a keg and bong party with side-betting is wildly inaccurate. As opposed to someone devoid of social interaction and would rather only play for the story?
Digital Watches Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I do believe anyone who treats fighting games like a keg and bong party with side-betting is wildly inaccurate. Sorry, what? Whether I agree or not with whatever point you're trying to make aside, that sentence is damn near semantically incomprehensible.
rtl42 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Some time ago I started a separate thread in this section ("Site Feedback...") for discussion/coordination relating to work on dustloop.wikia and that thread is gone now. I was wondering if the thread was removed by a mod due to policy/inappropriateness (then I won't restart thread), or if it died at the hands of gremlins (ok to restart thread)? try PMing Gwyrgyn, he may be able to retrieve it for you from... wherever it is that threads go?
Wendy Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 sorry for the spam http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?p=558683#post558683 But i would like to see dustloop more ordered
Circuitous Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 If you want a mod for BlazBlue and (a slightly more insane and overzealous mod for) Zepp Museum, I got free time.
Circuitous Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 So there's like a bunch of (really) old threads in ZM that are suddenly stickies, anyone know what happened there?
feri Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 I'd enjoy having an automated ignore button near the quote button. Or am I being too lazy?
A.X.I.S. Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 the new blazblue style skin is bitching, thanks shtkn for making it.
Moy_X7 Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 ^^ What he said, props to shtkn for making this alternative skin.
Master Bigode Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 PSN tags are harder to read and I don't like where the User CP link is now, but other than that this is skin is pretty nice.
