Ryyudo Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 shout out to LK for winning BBCS and the EPIC commentary This x 2. Good shit LK on everything ever, hahahah!
TeeJay Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Congratulations even though I'm not sure what LK won.
Nakkiel Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 He won NEC's BB singles. Not sure about teams.
Lord Knight Posted December 6, 2010 Author Posted December 6, 2010 Thanks everyone I had to show off LITCHI'S POWER Unfortunately I live on EC, so there was 0 percent chance of BB teams, but I was looking forward to it
McArthur Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 hi can i ask how does Fio do the "float" effect on the air almost like she zip lines her way down? i always see Fio do it , kinda similar to arakune's j.B shinanigans
Ryyudo Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 hi can i ask how does Fio do the "float" effect on the air almost like she zip lines her way down? i always see Fio do it , kinda similar to arakune's j.B shinanigans I -think- I know what you're talking about. Be better if I had an example to be sure, but I think you're talking about the Kara Airthrow. The commands should be in the Litchi combo thread, but with staff you do airdash j.2D~B+C. Without staff, it should be just airdash j.D~B+C. The tilde (~) is for pressing it NEAR simultaneously. You wanna disjoint the two sets button presses (j.[2]D and B+C) by like a frame or two. If done correctly, and I'm spot on what you're talking about, that'll send Litchi speeding downward at an angle with a grab.
Nakkiel Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 You can only do j.D~B+C with the staff planted, to clarify. It doesn't work if the staff has been launched.
Dorian Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Hey, I just recently had to pick up litchi and it seemed vital to get the itsuu loop down, execution-wise it doesn't seem so bad, but my timing is where I'm running into issues. Currently I'm stuck at connecting ippatsuA after riichiA, any ideas?
Nakkiel Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 After Hatsu (236B), input RiichiA ASAP, use advanced input to do IppatsuA (press and hold A, this will repeat the input for 5 frames) to do it as early as possible. That's all there is to it, as long as they're at the right positioning.
Dorian Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Just tried it and I got it, thanks, I thought my problem might've had something to do with my kote timing. I'm still trying to figure out the combo section and what I want to go off based on it; but any -must learn- things as a beginning litchi I should know or start practicing? (NOTE: Nothing like beginner combos or simple stuff, I'm new to the character not the game :3)
Nakkiel Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 (edited) Learn fastfall, learn how to blockstring with staff setting and launching, learn your BnBs. I'll edit this post with some necessary combos. Dorian Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 I really appreciate the help, but mind if I add you and send any questions in a PM? I don't want to litter the general page with my questions that may have been answered in another topic/post. I'm just new to the section so I haven't read much yet aside from stickied topics, and it'd take hours to go over everything, nevermind decipher relevant info and use it accordingly T_T
Nakkiel Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Feel free to message me, I don't mind at all.
Lord Knight Posted December 7, 2010 Author Posted December 7, 2010 It'd be a good idea to take those questions to the beginner thread, since a lot of people ask the same questions.
Nakkiel Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 That's a good idea too. Funny that they get asked when the answers are on the front page of that thread usually, lol.
Dorian Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 I tend to write off beginner stuff as notations, what [m] itsuu etc mean, beginner combos/challenge mode. I read the topic but lost interest and came here instead, my b.
Nakkiel Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 It's all right. If you want lots of combos to practice, the MEAT BUNS thread is great to read through.
