GreyFox86 Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 If you just played safer you'd do way better. As blunt and vague as this is, it actually helps some. Hmm..... *goes into thinking tank*
Ryyudo Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 We're bros now. Also, get@me GreyFox if you need a confidence boost(and have a good connection with Canada). I'm free to Litchis. BUhahahahahaha most amazing picture ever! I accept this broship with the highest possible regards!
Lord Knight Posted December 17, 2010 Author Posted December 17, 2010 As blunt and vague as this is, it actually helps some. Hmm..... *goes into thinking tank* Even though it wasn't directed at you, if it was helpful then go for it!
Urichinan Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 UGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH I got a new controller and I can't do anything right now. -_-" I want to use Litchi, but it hurts my thumbs too bad on this new pad, so I've been stuck using Hazama for the past two days until I get the pad broke in. Anyway, I discovered that there are a few frames between the two hits of Carnage Scissors where Ragna is completely invincible and if you do Litchi's 6B (With or without the staff) at the right time she'll go right through him and end up on the other side. O.O
Nakkiel Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Yeah, that was in a joke combo video somewhat recently.
GreyFox86 Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Even though it wasn't directed at you, if it was helpful then go for it! Well it turns out I wasn't playing like I should and that's safe play. I looked at what I was doing and started working on those points. Even if it wasn't directed at me, I still thank you.
Urichinan Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Yeah, that was in a joke combo video somewhat recently. XD Really? I was just practicing my IB > Punish stuff and it happaned and I was like "Lolwut" =3
Nakkiel Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Haha, yeah it looks pretty silly. It's in the combo video Asgard at the end.
Urichinan Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Holy... There was some pretty stupid stuff in there.
ATGMantenbo Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Alright .. I just got back from GnG tourney (biggest tourney in Minnesota), that's their website: http://www.gamesngoonline.com/information.php?info_id=1 I got first place with no loses .. got my FIGHT MONEY lol here's a little blog: I entered the hall in holiday inn and OMG .. there's a lot of ppl, around 200. They were there for various games .. mostly SSF4 and smash bros. The BB tourney was supposed to start at 3:00pm but the tourney organizer told me they are an hour off schedule and BB will start at 4pm .. that sucked for me because I was hoping to get it done with ASAP and go home study for the finals but ohh well. I wandered around until the BB guys told me they secured a TV and a PS3 to run casuals until 4. Most of them played on a pad except for a few. My first problem was finding a TE stick for the PS3 .. thanks to Antonie who lent me his TE stick .. I started playing casuals and OMG my timing was so off at the beginning ... really don't know why? maybe coz the TV I use has input lag and CRT has nothing ... maybe. Well, I got used to it in the third game .. I knew when I got my chun > dash 2A timing consistently. Anyway the tourney started and I swept through most of them with no problems. Except for Izzy Lee (Mu) and his brother Jordan Lee (Bang) Izzy is the one who knocked me out in the September tourney. His Mu is nothing I have seen before. I started learning the matchup ever since then .. thanks to FlyingVe, he gave a lot of useful tips ... and I filled up the Litchi vs Mu matchup thread in the process lol. before playing Izzy, I told him I'll have my revenge this time, he laughed and said "yes, that's the spirit; I like the rivalry between us" .. so I played him and read him like a book or so to speak lol .. baited his two of his bursts (two matches = 4 burst total) the matches were intense as hell .. I wish they were recorded I IB'ed the second hit of her overhead and punished with 2A (thank you FlyingVe) the next time I IB'ed her overhead, he dp'ed my 2A .. smart move indeed .. need to add this to the matchup section hehe. Chun is really good to bait her 2C .. gonna add this to the matchup thread too. he tends to jump after a blocked 3C(97% of mu's do that); I airgrabbed that shit everytime in the first match. Jorden, his bro, showed me the bang wrath; BANG IS BROOOOOKKKKKEEEEEN btw in case you didn't fucking already know and so is litchi lol. I was nervous as hell when I played him .. I airgrabbed then 2D instead of 2B lol .. that's how nervous I was but I put him in his place in the end hehe. And I take pride that I finally blocked Bang's double overhead on fucking reaction 5c > 6b .. this is something I couldn't do online .. lol netplay. That's pretty much all the important matches .. and yeah Caleb's Ragna is tough but he fell to Jordan's after a hype match. summary, Thank god I learned the Mu matchup, woulda lost otherwise and thank you Ve. now back to organic chemistry ...
Romeyurhomey Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 First CS tournament with Litchi 2-2. Doing well for still learning. Also congrats ATG! Long live Litchis!
Ryyudo Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Congrats ATG! Meeeega hype! So I believe that makes three or four people on these Litchi boards so far who won their state's major tournies! Let's keep being awesome!
deadsnake Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 and after maining litchi for quite some time, I just realized that she can't RC from tsubame.... D= kinda disappointed
Nakkiel Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 You can't RC any of the Itsuu moves either.

deadsnake Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 You can't RC any of the Itsuu moves either. oo...OK....that's...news to me.... *OMGWTFBBQ? but no prob on itsuus, I hardly use them when the enemy blocks, even if use it, they'll be pretty far so I assume that it's safe...
Lord Knight Posted December 20, 2010 Author Posted December 20, 2010 Itsuu is hella unsafe, it's like -24 or something. Distance does help. Apparently one of the new mixup setups is taking advantage of the buffed itsuu, look forward to it in videos.
mAc Chaos Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Whoa ATG, congrats! Didn't know you had it in you.

Apparently one of the new mixup setups is taking advantage of the buffed itsuu, look forward to it in videos. since u mentioned it, it made me wondered, if I recall correctly, itsuu moves on BBCSII will automatically execute their 2nd hit despite blocked the question? in a blocked itsuu, when can litchi move again? itsuuC > blocked > 2nd hit > is it a low? > do an overhead mixup?
Lord Knight Posted December 21, 2010 Author Posted December 21, 2010 I haven't seen it, so I can't really answer, but you can assume it looks the same as when you do it on hit.
Nakkiel Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) Fio did it once or twice. I'm pretty sure it's the exact same recovery as usual. I'm fairly certain that all the followup hits are mid, something like that would've been mentioned by now. Only reason I don't know for sure myself is that when Fio did it the opponent got hit by the 2nd hit. Edited December 22, 2010 by sG
deadsnake Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 yeah, I also noticed that Fio did that twice but I didn't actually confirmed about what I asked earlier since it didn't crossed my mind yet... well...I'm hoping at least litchi can do a follow up blockstring after a blocked itsuus...moar blockstun frame pl0x
