Mike Z Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 2A air CH can also be followed with 6A. Since none of those options combo after 2A if it isn't a CH, 6A is your best bet since if it's blocked you can jump or even 2C...IMO...
Manta Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Looking at your new combo video, how much damage are you able to squeeze out of a combo when you replace: ...AC, ACwhiff, 6B > 2C AC with ...AC [RC] 4D, 5C > 6A > 2C > AC Unless you're going for a flashy finishing combo, it just doesn't seem worth it.

The 4D whiff into 5C etc combo gets about 400 more DMG if I'm remembering right. Normal one does about 3600 and the 4D one does a little over 4k. So not much but hey, if you wanna show off, you can:keke:
Manta Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 So in every case, wouldn't the usual AC whiff, 6B magnatech wheel lead to better damage?
CrazyApe Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Hey guys for Hakumen I have been doing throw AC into j.c Jb 5c AC, then Egadget I can't seem to get the second AC on Bang and I saw Akira do 6A but that wiffs for me also..... this is all w/o magnetism. Also I saw akira do this combo on Jin but I can't even get the j.b to hit any help please

Also I saw akira do this combo on Jin but I can't even get the j.b to hit any help please Hakumen is one of the very few characters this can hit without walking forward, but he can't be it by the 6A, to get the 6A on bang you have to walk forward quite a bit before you jump. It's kinda tight. So in every case, wouldn't the usual AC whiff, 6B magnatech wheel lead to better damage? It's just something silly, it isn't actually supposed to be used as a bnb. Not only would MTW do more damage, but if you did AC whiff 6C J.2C 2B 2C AC etc you get 4k anyway making the extra damage pretty much non existent. Tager's character rate makes RCs for damage almost impossible.
Mike Z Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 So in every case, wouldn't the usual AC whiff, 6B magnatech wheel lead to better damage?Yes. It's just cool looking - at this point, since BB is so simplified and Tager has so much hitstun scaling, I highly doubt anything more damaging can be found. Also, IIRC skipping the 6B is more dmg.
Isorropia Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Skipping the 6B is more damage, -if- you follow up with terrabreak. If you're just doing MTW, the 6B in there adds about...50 dmg or so, a bit of heat and the opportunity to burst.
Manta Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Actually, it doesn't add an opportunity to burst I think, if they burst the guardpoint takes it and they get a MTW reset instead.
Isorropia Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Yeah, that's what I meant. It's allowing them to burst, I didn't say the burst would work. >.> Straight AC whiff > MTW is unburstable, but if you add the 6B (and slightly delay the MTW activation on it) it can sucker people into wasting a burst and eating more damage than they otherwise would have.
A.X.I.S. Posted November 30, 2010 Author Posted November 30, 2010 (edited) 360A>2B>2C>623C>623C whiff>6B>2C>623C This combo only works in the corner and when your opponent is magnetized. Mike actually did something like this in his gimmicks video which I decided to take and adopt for myself. Its great for many reasons, lets go over them shall we: 1. Does 4.1k in the corner 2. You still leave your opponent in the corner. 3. You didn't need to use spark to do it. 4. You can use MTW instead of 6B>2C>623C to get 5.4k out of this. Most note worthy thing is that you cannot 6B>MTW or they can tech it. Edited December 1, 2010 by A.X.I.S.
naikou Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 (edited) I doubt this is new or anything, but I found an interesting alternative to: 2D (RC) -> 6a -> 2C -> Collider -> whatever or 2D (RC) -> 6A -> 3C -> 2B -> 2C -> Collider Instead, it's easier and more damaging to do: 2D (RC) -> 6C -> collider -> collider whiff -> 6B -> 2C -> EGadget/BGadget/Whatever you want Only tested on Tsubaki Edit: Scratch that, it's more damage to do 6A->2C, but it's harder and you have to have good spacing Edited December 10, 2010 by naikou

Also to help with the spacing issue, MikeZ reminded people that if you wait a little before you RC Tager's 2D moves closer to them with enough time to still 6A.
PCHU Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I haven't seen any other Tager player use this, and it's also not in the list of combos. Rather than explaining in a post, I made a video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMSI1iGk0ko
PCHU Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Then why don't I see more of it? I mean, that's more damage than his normal bnb without the need for magnetism... Is there something I'm missing other than that it's a bit difficult to pull off? With the corner, I understand that your goal is to keep them in the corner, but as for the midscreen thing.....is there a better combo off of a throw? Sorry for all the questions.....I'm just rather curious.
FlyingVe Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 You don't see more of it because it only works against most of the cast in the corner, and doing it takes them out of the corner. Plus it's kinda finnicky midscreen even on those it works on.
PCHU Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 I see. Well, thanks anyways. At least it works midscreen on characters I have trouble against.
Isorropia Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Works midscreen on: Bang, Rachel, Hakumen. Works midscreen but slightly harder: Ragna, Jin, Taokaka. Works midscreen but you should use j.c whiff > j.2c > 2B > collider: Tager, Arakune.
A.X.I.S. Posted February 12, 2011 Author Posted February 12, 2011 J.2C>2B>Collider works on Lambda too.
someonewhodied Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Um, here is a combo that is unnecesarily long: (100% Heat) 2B/6C/5BC>Collider>BSledge>(RC)2C>Collider>BSledge>22D>5BC>Collider>Spark Bolt> [2B>]2C>Collider>Collider (Whiff)>2B>2C>Collider>Collider Whiff>22D>360B>22D>720C. You can pretty much make yourself a sandwich if you get caught in this combo.
someonewhodied Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 How is it not? The game picks it up as a combo, unless it doesn't count as one if you get a Purple "!!" on 360/720s and grabs.
