Okay, just got the final word from the venue. We're good to go for bi-weekly, and the first date is fixed for may 11th! The 27th is a no go since they're hosting a smash tournament, and although we could technically start this weekend, texas showdown is happening and the next one wouldn't be for a month, 5/4 is a once a year event they throw for customers.

Venue fee will be $3, entry for each game will tentatively be $2 to keep it poverty. 2/3 double elim, winner is character locked, winner takes all, half goes to the top ranked player at the end of the season. I'll figure out end of season bonuses or prizes in the coming weeks. If you bring a set up your venue fee will be paid for you. If we can get four set-ups we should be able to rip through the brackets fast enough to play all three games. Any other set-ups we can still use to run casuals. If anyone can/wants to try and stream I'll put down money for an exhibition or team tournament depending on who shows up.

Fucking awesome! I can provide a streaming step up. The full thing. What type of setups, ps3 or 360?

do any of y'all who have gundam or are planning to get it want to do regular netplay sessions? i was thinking every monday and friday from like 6pm-8pm or something. (this would include after im gone from dallas too, probably, if the connection is still viable)

btw, is anyone getting injustice and bringing it to the first meetup after it is out? i want to try the real version

Man i really wanna get down on that Gundam game but to bad its PS3 only D=. Def down to try and get a 2v2 started seems like it'd be mad fun.

Man it was crazy awesome to hang and play with you guys, and I'll definitely let y'all know anytime I'm in the area. And my bad about the pizza, I was gonna save some for the thing, but I did that whole hungry thing and yea. Whoopsi-doodles. Glad to hear that FX Game Exchange is working out for you guys! The venue has been really great to us smashers over the years, I'm sure it'll be the same for this scene.

One of the downsides to FX is the venue closes at 9pm on saturdays, so unless you guys run through tourney stuff really quick there usually isn't time for too much hanging out at the venue afterwards.

i was going to make shoutouts but i forgot to. anyway, shoutouts to gundam EXVS and litchi for being fun as hell.

So, saturday we're going to go to austin. Transient will drive some people, tomato/sunfish will drive some people, and randomnaoto will go get woofx7.

The plan is that we'll leave dallas saturday morning and will arrive in time for the tourney. Then, tomato/sunfish will headback to dallas at night, while those going with transient will split a hotel room and stay in austin overnight.

If you're interested and havent been contacted yet about going, please let me know, I only really contacted people who i thought were likely. I may have just forgotten certain people, too.
