Small but GDLK meetup. Had Jet, Supaa, and Cookie. Sadly, didn't play any BB since supaa/cookie/jet haven't had time to practice CS2, and just never got around to doing AH3 due to chance/setup conveniences. Totally going to do BBCS2 next tuesday with jet/supaa though, and probably Ah3 with supaa then. Jet is waiting on PSN store AH3.

Played lots of KOF with Jet, that was gdlk. Played some SF4 with jet, and he also showed me some tekken 6 stuff, which was really nice now that I have more understanding of the game(partially through him). Pretty excited for my rental of that to arrive thursday. Definitely going to play that tuesday with jet, or with others if anyone else plays.

Played vampire savior with cookie, that was awesome. Fucked around on melty too.

In a way, yes.

Her damage off most staff pokes midscreen is much worse, but her staffless damage is great(3k-4k reliably off most stafflesss moves anywhere), she corner pushes like hell, her pressure is largely better, her pokes are largely better, and her corner damage is still fantastic. She's actually better in almost every way except staff midscreen damage.

she's definitely a lot more fun, you just have to do more than land random 5b/6b/2c/5c midscreen and get 5k+daisharin oki.

Also...I need to get AH3....ASAP.

Thought about what the logical problem with my stick was, and it's something that makes me realize I probably shouldn't try and sell it. Don't want to sell someone some half-broken thing.

I don't know if I'm very inattentive or anything....but has Haku's counter super always make the screen rumble when you miss with it? Regardless...I like the effect...

this is not at all surprising when the best characters all have blatantly superior midscreen damage. whoops.

Best characters according to who?

Your mains/subs are only as good as you are....Nothing else is a determinant.

while i agree with this statement, really I do, I do have a counter argument. Tiers are mainly formed based on which character is winning the most on a widely used machine, the characters tools, and honestly damage output. It's only natural to assume that characters with a high midscreen damage output, and who still have godlike corner damage output, are clearly better than those who have to force their opponents into the corner for dat damage. that being said a clearly mediocre makoto could probably beat a clearly mediocre tager, but that mediocre makoto wouldn't be able to handle a godlike tager. However, a godlike makoto would probably stomp all over a godlike tager, if it was just a fresh off the bat-never played each other before type of match, as players continue fighting each other yomi starts to develop yadda yadda yadda. basically tiers are there and are acknowledged but are never set in stone, and sometimes even debated. but the point is there are some characters who clearly take more work/time to win then others.

tl;dr: Tiers exist so therefore we must deal with it.

other than dustloopers are tier whores

and uh... well, i wish they stuck to their guns more with "let's move damage to the corner" instead of having tons of exceptions. that's bad.

but whatev, haku's new combos are swag so that's good enough for me

starting to understand tekken 6 now. i like leo's moves a lot. anyone up for that or kof2002um saturday? will mostly play bb and probably ah3 saturday tho.
