Speaking of which, if you're going to do MMs, just keep it on the down low and stick to doing it with people in the scene. Hmm... Did you talk to them and tell them that it isn't really gambling, it's a calculated risk based on how good you are/think you are at the game? I'm sure if you told them that you would inform all entrants of the risk prior to entering, there wouldn't be a problem. I might put a couple bucks into the pot+some sort of gaming merchandise if we're not allowed "gambling".

I'm probably going to get there around 12-1 in the afternoon, since I'll be leaving Kelowna at 6am. Would be nice to have some casuals/MMs while I wait.

It's only a 2/2.5 hour drive for me and I've got friends who will probably run off and check out the con itself, so I'd likely show up sometime before 2pm. Casuals and MMs will be fine as long as the latter is kept on the DL. :3

As far as I know the only people from BC who are going are people from Kelowna, including myself. I'd consider giving you a ride if I knew you, but you haven't come down to Kelowna to play yet, so
Spinzaku Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 I'll be going with the two friends I bought to Magic Stronghold yesterday. I believe all 3 of us will be entering the SSFIV and BBCS tournaments, and I'll also put out for GGAC+ and MBAA. I'm trying to find more people but being from the valley, players are scarce. Unfortunately we won't have extra space, since even fitting 3 people in my friend's truck is a hassle.

Sakuracon was able to run without any entry fee and some people are already kinda about having to pay the $15 to attend the con.

If worst comes to worst we can split money on a hotel room, but I'd prefer it if it didn't come to that. Let us know before October 14th, since that's the deadline for reserving a hotel room. Also BP is there going to be a 2v2 for BB or GG?

Me and Dacid are trying to plan this out. We're trying to make a small party to get better deals splitting costs, but don't bet on us yet, its still up in the air, especially with the financial and scheduling situation.
