To start, here are some casual #Reload videos from a recent meetup. Would've included a better selection but nagai came late and was only over for about an hour so vids had to be taken quick. Earlier vids with other people ended up being just EX character play and random stuff, so that's left out. Not overly great matches overall, but have a look if you're interested:

Oh snap! You posted them all? Man, I sucked in those vids lol I was playing with Teyah's new stick for the first time. Only had 1 hour to get used to it >.<. Messed up so many things (double Ice-spike?! lolol, knockdown, 5.k (supposed to be a fish) lolol, SJ in a pressure string, lolol). One thing that I did a lot was dash straight in, 5.k, 5.hs. Though this worked out a lot of times (and I did it on purpose sometimes to CK on fake tick-throws), I was actually going for a FD brake, forward throw. I dunno, something with Teyah's new stick didn't let me (it's a really, really nice stick though). But yeah. I'm open to any crit. edit: orka: if you try to download right after it stops, you can 'resume' it. edit: just watched the vids again. Wow, I did ice-spike three times in a row in the first Sol vid... lol

Or how about my ghetto 2D -> empty Bandit Bringer -> VV on landing, because I knew you were going to try to throw (as opposed to hit me during my loooong descent)? Y'see, that's where I was trying to dash-grab you, but the dash didn't come out... lol Maybe it's not your stick. Maybe I'm used to HnK/Raoh, or something. Also, Teyah, is there usually lag when you record? I had a lot of trouble getting my FRCs out... edit: I was just reading some of the replies from sweetvid's post a while back... Heh, that was a vicious thread...!

Millia player needs to use the Pin more. A lot more. Dizzy trying to antiair with st. S (???) = Pin bait. I bet the Millia player's win % is directly related to the number of pin throws. If I was there, I would've said, "Throw a pin!", Dizzy would get hit and die, and Millia would always win.

Dizzy player likes to run away to full screen and launch a fish. Kinda obvious when you think about it, I bet you that's slide head bait right there. I bet you Dizzy player does either:

a) run full screen and throw a fish, move in after

b) pick off runins with cr. Dust or cr. A? Tail thing, whatever -> cr. D.

c) random j. HS

Dizzy still has absolutely craptacular antiair, she pretty much needs to get right up in the air with you too to challenge, her ground based ones kinda stink. Learn to get some air positioning on the other guy. Also be careful when killing fish. Or rather, not ignoring the fish, mashing bunch, getting bitten then combo'd.

1) I played a POSCRUB once upon a time. I remember perfecting him several times.

2) I learned that I could run over slide head. Then I used this cheat-code to beat him to a pulp.

3) Suuure, let's play SFIV. I'll just GANZAN RYOUZAN HA your face and it'll be over in 75.33/77.

4) I have 2 plastic Dizzy models. Other people gave them to me...

By the tone of POSCRUB's post, this player clearly sucks. It almost sounds like some revenge post because a scrubby DIZZY pwned him, what like, 10++ games in a row, or something. He must be a scrubby CVS2 player who picked PO only b/c he's so easy to use, and had to pick a char up quick so he could actually play GG with people (i.e. not comp). Hell. I bet this scrub looks like a 16 year old, but is somehow 25. And judging by your offline/online ratio, your profile-birthday is wrong.

I'll take your challenge. SFIV. Tomorrow. Bring it scrub.

I'd like to say that it's partially the stick's fault. Like, you'll see me do nothing after a knockdown, FRC, or a special sometimes. That's me buffering for a dash or IAD, and not quite getting the dash out (or even, trying to hit 6,6, but all I get is 6).

Right, after watching those vids again, it does seem like I should move a bit more. Like, more tricky jumps and such. I've pretty much grounded myself in every vid, and y'know, I probably wouldn't have noticed it if you didn't tell me!

Sol player gets a cookie for doing Slash style combos: FRC gunflame -> Bandit Bringer ooooooooooooh... Dizzy has no reversal, go for counterhits first until he's clearly selected blocking as his first option, then go for the clever cheeze. Couple of whiffed opportunities in the first vid, out of range dust, out of range 6P etc, stuff happens, oh well. Be careful with your bait setups, you might need to tighten up the timing for empty jump tricks :P As above, Dizzy still has no reversal, so outside of super and throw, everything else gets counterhit. Do stupid double jump/air dash tricks right on top of them, since this Dizzy player seems to looooooooove reversalling the throw. Also seems like Dizzy likes to jump back once he's under some heat. Oh, and do the Tao. 6HS, kill fish, Bandit bringer. He'll NEVER see it coming. Oh, after bandit bringer knockdown. Jump whiff j. HS, and you get thrown when you land. Needs a better follow up. Something to think about. Try to make sure you test the other play as much as possible. Whenever you score a knockdown, or something, make sure you're getting your fulls money worth out of it. Be careful of giving into pressure and going on autopilot, just doing some random guard string that the other guy can kinda tell that he just block it all, and you'll push yourself right out of range. Gotta make the other guy sweat bullets, watching each and every move you throw out, wondering which ones can lead into a throw, more pressure if he doesn't react properly instantly, or counterhit bait holes.

True, but Millia has even more craptastic air-ground attacks. Nothing gives enough frame advantage to do any real pressure. j.S -> Pin comes closest, I guess.. but even that pushes you too far out to do anything decent, quickly.

I do have to learn to spam the Pin more, but you've also got to be careful with it. Doing it randomly off bad AD/IAD angles will cause you to land close to opponent, leaving you open for a throw, on block. And Dizzy has sick throw range / damage / lockdown off of throw, so... yeah.

I was killing fish because I could get away with it. Had I been punished, I would have stopped.

I also should've been jumping / BD'ing the obvious throw attempts (and I normally do), but I wanted to test out how well jabbing out worked during the 5F unthrowable time. That's why you see stuff like Throw x5 hit on Sol and stuff like that. ;(

Dizzy has no reversal, go for counterhits

It is very hard for Sol to CH Dizzy, as all his normals lose to hers. Except for a point-blank 2D / 6P, but if you're that close you're either thrown, or about to be.

The out of range-ness comes from me (still) not being accustomed to how damn far back Dizzy's hitbox is during her crouch stance. No idea why Arc did this, but it really throws me off. Aside from Sol 6P whiffs, that's also why Millia's 5S© sometimes whiffs (wtf) on crouching Dizzy, whereas against any other character it would be blocked and lead into TK Bad Moon / 2S mixup. It's just something I have to keep in mind. Less autopilot needed, I know. ;(

No. This was me trying to do land 2K, which should beat the throw 100% of the time, had my timing been there. You can do this off BR, but not VV knockdowns. I even tell nagai "Don't throw" as I do 2K but he still does. Got him alot with the 2K earlier, but not in these vids.

Ehh, the reversal throw is muscle memory that's deeply embedded. When I'm not thinking/trying it comes out a lot. It works surprisingly well against new players ^^;;. I think I did it once in those vids...
