Whiteboywilly Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 For me, both the distance and stream are ideal. I dunno, it would be nice for once not driving farther than anyone but say, Rin and Coopa, as gas is absolutely destroying me. Dude we live near eachother. We can carpool lol.
OrionXElite Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Since I don't mind going to Concord for the mad hype stream, I can pick up a couple along the way if needed.
Dacidbro Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Oh man willy, you're right Also, still looking for more manly money matches

STenSatsu Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 BTW, are the times listed when signups start or when the actual tourney for said game starts? And is the 3v3 qualifier open to anyone?
TaoFTW Posted August 8, 2010 Author Posted August 8, 2010 BTW, are the times listed when signups start or when the actual tourney for said game starts? And is the 3v3 qualifier open to anyone? The times listed is when the tournament starts. You have to pre-reg prior to the tournament. I'm going to be giving the pre-reg list to the tournament hosts the day before so they can start making the brackets. If you are bringing setups of any kind, then please come - no later - than 11am! Also, keep your eyes peeled for a Friday casual session before the tournament! Edit: we're still lacking BB setups. Edit2: Uh, I like how we're trying to host a BBCS tournament when we have no setups. Setup and Equipment [Current Count]: Guilty Gear CRT/TVs: 2 PS2s: 3 GGAC: 3 Melty Blood CRT/TVs: 2 PS2: 2 MBAA: 2 Blazblue LCD/TVs: 1(?) - Drayne O says maybe PS3: 1 PS3 BBCS: 2 Extra XBOX: 3 XBOX BBCS: 2 Edit3: At bare minimum guys, I would like to see 3 setups for GG, 3 for MB and 3 PS3 setups for BBCS. Also, if ANYBODY has an Asus EVO monitor that they're willing to bring, then please bring it. We need it for stream - just in case. More setups means the faster we get through tournaments - which means, more time for Shaq Fu. Edit4: The reason why the tournament is PS3 only for BBCS is because Dean already has XBOX setups. I told him that if we were to mash extra casual sessions, then we'll pay him to use it.
Coopa Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 BTW, are the times listed when signups start or when the actual tourney for said game starts? And is the 3v3 qualifier open to anyone? Yes, the 3vs3 qualifier is open to ANYONE. Remember, if we decide to get this streamed, we need to have it at Shadowbrooke Games on the 15th, according to Haunts. I'm honestly not sure at all how he's going to do it, since a SSF4 tourney will be streamed at the same time. I've got to ask him.
Tsubasa Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Edit2: Uh, I like how we're trying to host a BBCS tournament when we have no setups. We need it for stream - just in case. More setups means the faster we get through tournaments - which means, more time for Shaq Fu. I'm going to repeat my offer. If anyone can provide me with a CRT to use, I will allow you guys to use my monitor for a BBCS setup. It's not the ASUS that Evo uses, but it's a BenQ FP241W, which is a really nice monitor that has little to no perceivable lag. I know we play MB on it regularly w/o complaint. And I know I can personally land some tight links on it. Melty Blood CRT/TVs: 2 PS2: 2 MBAA: 2 We already have 3 full MBAA setups confirmed. I will bring 2 and Tone will bring 1.
Chun Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 I happen to have a 26" CRT that's just sitting at my house, so maybe that could work out then. ~Chun
Coopa Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Bad news guys. We can't really stream on the 15th because it's mainly a ssf4 thing, and haunts isn't available at any other time. My suggestion is to just hold a qualifier by ourselves at X location.
TaoFTW Posted August 9, 2010 Author Posted August 9, 2010 Okay, so Drayne_O and Chun, I'll assume you guys are bringing CRT monitors. Do they have VGA input and/or HDMI?
TaoFTW Posted August 9, 2010 Author Posted August 9, 2010 crt monitors are almost invariably vga only. Point taken.
Chun Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 It's a Television, not a monitor, and it has the typical VGA input. I'll need whoever I'm traveling to Berkeley with to assist me with it though, a bit heavy.
Spirit Juice Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 I can bring my streaming equipment if needed.
Chun Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Actually it's a standard 4:3. I had the impression that if Tsubasa lends us his monitor for a BBCS setup, the TV could be used for MB and/or GG. Unless you were looking for a widescreen TV...
Tsubasa Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Cool. I call that TV for MB. In exchange, you BB guys get a 24" LCD. It has inputs for HDMI, DVI, VGA, component, S-video, and composite. Hook up however you like. I can also provide a PS3 as extra service, but I don't have the game or the DLC unless someone puts their account on my system.
TaoFTW Posted August 9, 2010 Author Posted August 9, 2010 Thanks Tsubasa. Your efforts won't go unnoticed!
Chun Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Just got off the phone with Tsubasa; I'll be bringing my TV and my PS3 for BB with Makoto DLC. The TV is relatively new, be gentle, or the parents will have my head.

Chun Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 It's a setup that MB people can use, a TV that is CRT, not an LCD.
