Dacidbro Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Oh my god, I HAVE to sign up late; I've been wanting to play me for so long!
TaoFTW Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 Oh my god, I HAVE to sign up late; I've been wanting to play me for so long! Yeah, you'll get sent to losers first round.
TaoFTW Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 But at least I'll be in winners. ... ??? O_o No, both Dacids were late. He was sent to losers and lost to Zong.
OrionXElite Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 This paradox is giving me a headache...Its almost as bad as arguing over the paradox of "This sentence is false" Why am I still here and not rage bowling yet?? Coopa, love the poster! Only thing missing is TEH HYPE DOG!!!

Coopa, love the poster! Only thing missing is TEH HYPE DOG!!! And that's why everyone loves Kant...wait, no. D: Edit: Okay, back to business. As of now, we're still short on the following equipment (this includes people who said they 'MIGHT' be bringing stuff): GGAC - 1 TV/CRT - 1 PS2 BBCS - 3 LCD/TV/CRT [Mr. Aquas, you have a cool LCD, but it lags so don't bring it :<] - 2 PS3 - 2 BBCS copies (I am not counting XBOX setups) MBAA - A-OKAY
STenSatsu Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I can probably print it out and put it up at maybe DVC/Shadowbrooke/Phoenix games around here in concord.
Coopa Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I can probably print it out and put it up at maybe DVC/Shadowbrooke/Phoenix games around here in concord. Understood. I will PM you the high-res version when I receive it.
STenSatsu Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 One other thing: PS3 pads. Do we bring our own or will some be there? I remember there being problems with ps3 pads not getting turned off or something so I figured I should ask.

BYOS BYOP And IF you are playing on a PS3 setup, then TURN OFF YOUR PAD WHEN YOU'RE FINISHED!! >:[ Edit: Coopa, send me full-res pic please. :3
Ginseng Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Also don't touch the PS button when your pad is off, or else it will light up the controller and sync up again.
TaoFTW Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 Also don't touch the PS button when your pad is off, or else it will light up the controller and sync up again. This HAS happened during the CRAZY ASS TOURNAMENT two years ago. Fred rage install'd.
CopperDabbit Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Max, it says "SHARP" on the front. I hope this answered your question because I really have no idea.
Spirit Juice Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Also don't touch the PS button when your pad is off, or else it will light up the controller and sync up again. Pad users should be required to bring their own USB cables to plug into PS2s so there will be no syncing issues when plugged into that specific PS2 (when it's their turn to play).
natearistata Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Madcatz pads ftw which reminds me, I need to go buy a PS3 one.
Shining Aquas Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I think after the tournament is done, I'm gonna start saving up for a TE stick. I need to switch eventually.
TaoFTW Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 I think after the tournament is done, I'm gonna start saving up for a TE stick. I need to switch eventually. oh yeah, so you are bringing your ps3 right? edit: scott, can you bring anything? ps3? monitors or what-not?
Zenmetsu Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Oh man Jared okay thanks. Reason I ask is because I want to buy a moderately large HDTV without lag that isn't a Viewsonic. Maybe I'll take a look at it if/when you bring it in. Also to reiterate, I can bring: 1 PS3 1 CRT 1 Evo Monitor I don't know if I'll own BB:CS by then, though.

All your advice, from a year back, has made NCI to what it is today. :3
RinHara5aki Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Max, it says "SHARP" on the front. I hope this answered your question because I really have no idea. Jared if you brought your beastly lagless HD, it would make recording SO MUCH EASIER ;3;... that lag made matches TERRIBLE after you left.
CopperDabbit Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I think it was the lack of ME that makes matches terrible after I leave.
qwerty Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Pad users should be required to bring their own USB cables to plug into PS2s so there will be no syncing issues when plugged into that specific PS2 (when it's their turn to play). uh, assuming you meant ps3, all ps3 controllers are wireless; the usb cable is just there for charging. unless there's some setting in the ps3 menu to change this, wireless pads will still very much be an issue.
TaoFTW Posted August 11, 2010 Author Posted August 11, 2010 I think it was the lack of ME that makes matches terrible after I leave. THEN PRE-REG DAMMIT! >:3 So the more I look at this, the more it looks feasible that I can go. Since I'm practically driving 6+ hours one way from Socal already... I'm willing to pick up people in Socal if they want to tag along. I'm willing to pick up people in Socal if they want to tag along. I'm willing to pick up people in Socal if they want to tag along. I already have 1 person that's potentially coming so I have at least 3 empty seats. I'm willing to drive as far down south as the A.I. area to pick people up, and then Initial D'ing all the way up to the bay. As long as I've seen/met you once then you're instantly eligible to hop on -- that's my offer. If nobody wants to come then that's cool too. Edit: And since people are already asking, is anyone in Norcal willing to let me (and potentially 4 really cool unknown people) crash at their place? Lawl. Just a little bump in case socal missed this.
natearistata Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 It saddens me that I can't think up a somewhat decent handle for tournament use that isn't as gay as natearistata. It saddens me more that this bugs me.
Spirit Juice Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 oh yeah, so you are bringing your ps3 right? edit: scott, can you bring anything? ps3? monitors or what-not? I can bring: 1 ASUS monitor, PS3 + BBCS with Makoto and Mu, 1 PS2 stick + Inpin converter, and handsome. I think it was the lack of ME that makes matches terrible after I leave. You mean like how grand finals at SBO qualifiers were terrible after you were out? Dohoho~ <3 uh, assuming you meant ps3, all ps3 controllers are wireless; the usb cable is just there for charging. unless there's some setting in the ps3 menu to change this, wireless pads will still very much be an issue. I should've worded my post better. I meant that when they're plugging in a PS3 controller for a match they got called for, they need to make sure it's plugged in before hitting the PS button. I guess it doesn't really matter though in the end. Perhaps we should designate one station as the "pad" station? In other words, pad players that need to play will use that TV, which reduces the mishaps of PSHOME showing up on another TV by mistake. UNRELATED NOTE TO THE POSTS ABOVE: So wtf is going on with 3v3 teams? They going down or not? Haven't seen any kind of response or what. If we can't do any kind of qualifier tournaments, I just say we do a team captain thing or something. Or a vote. Whatever. I already have an idea of who should be on the team, but that's just me. Also, I don't mind being a ref for both BB and GG if some sort of incident happens (i.e. I think it was Ernest vs AJ at one GG ranbat where the game was paused and AJ had to forfeit a round, even though he had clearly won; bad reffing).
