Oh yeah, we definitely have a match chun. So like, 8ish matches total :yaaay:

Zong, if you're in Norcal, I can find things for us to do. I'd say it's worth staying the extra day. :yaaay:

If nothing else, we can play scott pilgrim vs the world all day

Rin, for recording the 'last' set of money matches, make sure you record every match that 'could' be the last, and delete em afterwards if they aren't unbelievably spectacular or actually the last round ^_^

Also, even if the recording stuff isn't there, you are a part of the community and I hope you would show up, because we all miss you. o:

In light of recent info, I am in dire need of someone to bring a HDTV with component output, heavily preferred lagless. I WILL PITCH IN MONEY FOR SOMEONE TO BRING THIS TV. I'm not kidding.

If this doesn't happen, I can't record for combo video's, for money matches, for tournament matches, and montage clips. I might as well not be there.

I think you're going to be hard pressed to find a lagless HDTV that has component output. I'm guessing what you want to do is have the HDTV take HDMI input from the PS3 so that players can play their matches, laglessly from this screen. Simultaneously, this HDTV is outputting component signals and feeding into whatever recording device you bring.

As you may already know, the Asus 236H's don't have component output capabilities so now you're in a bind for equipment to satisfy your requirements.

The best alternative is to use a large CRT with a Y-splitter. Have the PS3 output component, then split one to the TV and the other to your recording device.

Edit: One more piece of advice. If you plan on using splitters and don't have any on-hand, I highly recommend buying these items online right now. If you end up making emergency trips to Radio Shack/Best Buy for these electronics the day of the tournament, you will be in for a 60+ dollar surprise.

Yeah, I'll do that, all you guys gotta do is WAIT FOR ME lol, everytime we start recording and I cut after the round you guys are like SELECT CHARACTER SELECT GOGOGOGO i'm like fml lol.

Eh, i'll show up either way, but i'm gonna be doing a lot of sideline sitting. And just standing around.. no one misses this salty taokaka masher

Actually lol I should've corrected myself, it doesn't need output lol. The HD PVR can record through input as well, so if its ANY kind of HDTV that has component input, and is preferably lagless, I should be okay.

I was actually looking at Haunts setup during the Starbase SF weekly, and he's got a beastly setup, sound controll, splitters, converters, everything. I'll try to figure something out.

waiting to hear from friends who can give me ride. I think the chance of me going is pretty high.

FT3 means first 3 win right? Sure, I'll play it after I get used to with the monitor there.

The monitor I'm using lags like 3-4f, and I've been only playing training mode, so I'll take a while to get my combo down.

But yeah, I'm looking forward to play with you. Litchi mirrors are frustrating, but fun at the same time. lol

weeeeeeeee, max will be there! I really hope I can go. it'll be fun!

Let's show everyone why litchi is "S" tier!

There are still people from socal considering to go? Better get a move on socal ☆〜(ゝ。∂)

DPDPDPDPDPCOMBOSWITHDP'SDP...DPDPDPD- xDD..

And me and Haunts figured out a recording solution. We are streaming AND recording on the same setup. Watch out guys, this iPlayWinner/TheBBVlog setup is gonna be pretty beastly (4 screens total, cords and converters everywhere, DJ mix sound control, mic and commentary...) OAO

One of my friends that I'm bringing mains Ragna. I'm wondering how many other Tagers there's going to be.

lol so who is on the team now?

Also, when does pre-reg end, John? Need to get to work on those brackets.

This. Now.

Socal team is still "???", and this battle royal for 5th spot is.. Unorganized.

There are a LOT of Tager players in NorCal who main him and even more who just troll with him. So keep an eye out for the big daddies of magnetism.

And as for the team, Its now: Dacid, Goryus, Willy and Kelvin(noej) and may as well just make it a thread wide vote. VOTE FOR ME DAMMIT! We need that Tager rep since NorCal is rich in amazing Tager players! Plus I've been the most dedicated to trying to better myself.

Oh and good shit today Kelvin. I'm surprised I'm not the least bit salty about losing to Lambda but whatever. Not to mention it was kind of difficult to play with the busted button but I DID say I would play on it so I can't blame that. Chun, you've gotten you're combos down a lot more consistently now, just work on tweaking the little bits you mess up on.

Psh, whatever Ragna main. SELLOUT!

Plus, I went from not being able to do an atomic collider 2 weeks ago to being able to do 2. In -one- combo.

Clearly I'm the best Tager.

Pre-reg ends at thursday 8/26 11:59pm. You'll have one day to work on the brackets. You could start now, but keep in mind that there are still people who haven't pre-reg'd from SoCal (Kennyon, Zong_One, some random people). I'll keep updating the front page pre-reg list.

This. Now.

Socal team is still "???", and this battle royal for 5th spot is.. Unorganized.

It's unorganized cause I'm not taking it seriously. I only stepped in to make some structure on something people wanted to have done. Btw, people better start leveling up their T.O. experience instead of relying on me (LIKE CHUN & ORION). If you have questions, then ask me and I'll tell you how to get things done.

I want to make this clear, 'I'm going to take a breather after NCI.' The following people are management material who can organize future tournaments during my absence:

- KatanaDash

- Spirit Juice

These are -qualified- people who can serve as the right-hand man (micro-managing brackets and setups):

- Qwerty

- Aginor

- Tsubasa

- PhaethonH

- Dacidbro

These are people who you want to connect with for 3rd party media attention:

- Haunts (CEO of iplaywinner)

- Koogy

- Rinhara5aki

- Coopa

If you guys have any questions on how to find venues; if you want to know how to get some inside connections with media publicity; if you want to know how to organize larger-scale tournaments; then contact me (either by AIM or PM) or email (taoftw@gmail.com).

Edit: For the 5th qualifier spot, voting will be done on the google spreadsheets (this includes people who are seeded from SVGL tournaments).

Good work today Kelvin, fun times Orion. Cab buttons make me salty.

Voting For Last Spot

Campaign Statement:

With your vote, the research and combo solidification I've done hopefully can contribute to NorCal. I'd really appreciate the chance to redeem myself in terms of the less-than-average play I've had so far with what I can do now. Thank you.

It took so long to convince Kelvin to go to the qualifier, glad he proved his worth :yaaay:

Also, Orion, you have been dedicated to improving, but the -most- dedicated is a bold claim. Norcal is universally stepping up it's game all around, I'm extremely happy. :keke:

EDIT: My work is trying very hard to screw me over. On a day I requested off, I now have a 4 hour shift from 10-2... So I'm working diligently to get it covered, but in the event that I show up at 3pm shit is very bad, right?
