Re4L14124c Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 $8 is like, a lot for me, if I haven't mentioned that already. I can fill myself up, with food. and probably buy a hooker or two, and still have change. I don't know, maybe? Look, it really comes down to what he raffle prize is. I'm just curious about it and I ain't backing down from this horse until I know. Disregard whether I want to join the tournament or not, I will not join unless I know the raffle prize. Will that be alright? Nothing to do with how I feel about tournaments, I'm just being a greedy prick.
OrionXElite Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Jesus I must be a fuckin goddamn tumor.. Just avoid being like the day you came down to MGL for casuals...No sitting in the corner reading your camera's instruction manual :3 That was a major buzzkill that day...

This is what I'm donating for the raffles: - Higurashi Figurine Set - Blazblue Poster - Blazblue Poster with signed Daisuke/Toshimichi To be honest, it's rare to go to a tournament that -only- charges you $8 for tournament entry, casuals, exhibitions, entry discounts AND raffle prizes. If you think that this is expensive, then you won't be able to find anything worth the bang for your buck...except maybe the McD dollar menu. Unlike Blanka707, this is a community effort to bring about the hype. Also, I don't see you pre-reg'd. If you don't pre-reg, then you have to pay the full price of $10!
Sanoshi Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 :< I super wish i could go to NorCal Install. Get lots of hype for this event! :]

Shining Aquas Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Is it okay if my main reason for going to tournaments is because my ability to play with the scene is generally hindered by distance and tournaments are a good enough reason to drive for hours? Cause that's what I'm doing. I'm trying to get better though (honest) Also, I'm not a bitch for coming and playing Litchi right?
Re4L14124c Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Man, you guys are so demanding. Where's the peace & love? Also, hookers, do you know how much fun you can have with hookers? TONS. for eight bucks. Hookers. But yeah, I preregistered. Sucker for peer pressure.

Well, I can't promise you I won't get salty, but I'll try my best to be a part of the community. On that note, I rethought my feelings about entering the tournament. John, just put me on the list. Of course I'll get salty dropping simple inputs, of course I'll clutch lose, but you know what, this event has been planned out for so long, and I FINALLY will be able to meet socal after evo-fail and pnw-fail. As a part of the community I should at least join the fray. Of course, I will be recording the whole thing. Someone should bring sone call of duty casuals LOL Is it okay if my main reason for going to tournaments is because my ability to play with the scene is generally hindered by distance and tournaments are a good enough reason to drive for hours? RinHara5aki Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Hey I haven't really though about this until now, but what about some om-noms towards the evening and going out to eat? We can't just do plain ole' pho again :P
KatanaDash Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 My rant on playing in tournaments: Playing at local tournies isn't about winning, it is about being part of the scene, seeing friends and making new ones. You could argue that you could do all this with out the price of admission and the competitive atmosphere, but the feeling of playing for keeps, and putting it on the line 'for real' changes the way the event, it makes it more exciting, or memorable and most of all more fun. So come out! Meet the norcal scene, play some games, you might be surprised at how good you get, and how quickly you get there. People are helpful, as long as you are willing to put in the effort some one in norcal will help you improve! Plus if you have any friends who also play fighting games, you'll destroy them if you go to events and they don't! I'm glad to hear you registered, if you show up and introduce yourself to me, I will buy you a coke or something!
Dacidbro Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 FFFFFFFFFFFFFF BUT THEN THERE WILL ONLY BE TWO OF THE THREE MEMBERS OF TEAM BROCAL uhh.. am I one of them? I just kind of think it makes sense..
