Lmao, everyone's getting in on the Ragna mirrors.

FT3 - McDonalds mini meal - Soniti

FT3 - Dinner sometime in the future <10 bucks - Orion

FT3 - 5 Bucks - Zonger, Mike Z, Severin, Xie

Anyone else for Ragna mirror?

Other money matches for me probably have to get scaled down to FT3 too, because holy shit do I have a lot.

MM's I remember;

Chun

Orion

Orion (Reverse mains)

Zonger?

Xie Commentary match

Coopa

Willy

... shit were there any other ones?

Also; Sick as hell promo, Rin. I love that you featured me on 5A and actually had it be a moment of good play, too sick.

Well I'm glad no one hit me up for a ride to NCI...I kinda wrecked my car on way back to my house...So I'm most likely going to be taking the train to Berkeley and checking into my hotel from there. Still on the fence about staying one or 2 days but I'll figure that out later. As for people who may want to crash with me Friday or Saturday night, thats still an available offer. Just PM me about it.

So yeah...My car is fucked up...I'm salty as shit about that...

I believe that Mike Z offered to MM against your Ragna, not to Ragna mirror you.

edit: ugh that sucks Orion, glad you are still ok

You're okay though??

Sorry as hell to hear that man..

Yeah I'm good. Just tweaked my neck a bit. I'll be sore for a couple days but I'll be up and ready to kick ass at NCI.

I'm not doing this for me anymore, I'M DOING THIS FOR TAGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [/epic battle cry]

(For those who don't know, I named my car Tager cause its a deep red Mustang GT...Yes I'm just that fucking beastly, get at me)

Crap. Now I need to decide whether to just drive to that one or take the BART. Decisions, decisions =(

I was actually wondering this myself. Do you think there will actually be parking at BART? Are we able to park there all day?

Ok here is what ANYONE who is considering parking at a BART station should do, since the Downtown Berkeley station which is the one closest to Eudomania has NO parking, you can park at North Berkeley for $1. Since its a weekend that you're parking, you pay the $1, you can leave your car there until 2am Monday morning at the latest. They flex the rules to accommodate weekend travelers. So from Friday morning at 4am until 2am Monday morning. So that means you could park at the North Berkeley station and take BART from there to Downtown Berkeley, round trip is only $3.50. SO you can park there, ride to downtown and walk the 5 or 6 blocks to Eudomania and only spend about $5 TOTAL. There is only one major issue, trains don't later than like 8pm in Berkeley so that would mean that if you were to do that, you would need to either go back and drive over to downtown and park OR commit to waiting for the 4am-ish Sunday morning and then going back. That would be the cheapest way but the most commitment heavy.

EDIT: WOW I read the map wrong. North Berkeley is the station after Downtown...Oops...Yeah so its relatively easy to make this whole thing work for cheap parking.

No clue about the parking bit, cause I've never been to Berkeley, but they have day-long passes.

But the closest station (Downtown Berkeley) says they have no parking on their website. I don't see the Ashby station on that map, so I dunno if it might be closer, but North Berkeley is on the map and does have $1 daily parking.

Any idea how early we should be if we want the parking? It's a 2-ish hour drive for me, and waking up at like 6 is a rather unpleasant thought.

Guys, be sure to check out the Berkeley parking for dummies section in my second post.

Dacid - Soniti's right, I meant vs Ragna not as Ragna...although you can switch that to Bang if you prefer. Or just forfeit. ;^)

Coopa - sure, but only if we can get Spirit Juice commentating, I believe he's been the vocal hatred behind every mirror match of mine that's been taped in any game. (^.^) Though I'm quite sure nobody wants to see a FT5 Tager mirror. :^P

Also JEEZ Rin, that was hella good!

I am the terror that walks in the night; I am the rhinestones on the jumpsuit of justice; I AM...GADGET FINGER!

BART stations usually have very big parking lots for the case of Raider's/Giant's fans taking the trains. I am 99% sure you could get there at 9am, get on whatever next train is going to SF/Fremont, its a 3-5 minute ride to Downtown, then probably a 20 minute walk to Eudomania and be there by 10am.

Tao, could you confirm if I have to be there before 11:30am even if pre-reged in order to sign up for cs? Just need to make sure on when I need to leave.

You must be there before 11:30am regardless of whether or not you pre-reg for BBCS, GGAC, or MBAA. The pre-reg will only seed you into the brackets. On-site registration, with payment, will enable you to participate in the tournament.

So, for GG/MB people, you guys can come to the onsite registration and grab some lunch outside. There are plenty of cheap eateries to munch on in the middle of downtown Berkeley. Remember, NO FOOD ALLOWED SCRUBS! If I see it, I will take it away!

Oh, another thing since this will be my first tournament and stuffs.

Exactly how much of a danger is it for controllers and whatnot to go missing? Should I be paranoid about it, or is it a very rare thing?

You're responsible for your own equipment. There's nothing else I Can do to help you.

Very rare thing. I haven't seen a stealing issue yet and I've been with the scene for almost a year now. Biggest worry is you may lose something due to misplacing or someone packing stuff up and grabbing it on accident. So have some way to identify your stuff. Tape with your name is easiest. This is one of the biggest perks of having custom sticks, Its a million to 1 that 2 people will have the exact same stick!

For the last few tournies we had, we rarely if ever from my knowledge have anything go missing. We're a nice lot but just mark your stuff that you will be using and always remember where you leave it. Outside of that you shouldn't have a problem losing it. If you do by some chance lose it, one of the people will be bound to pick it up and report it.

As with any tournament, it's best to keep an eye on (or have someone you trust keep an eye on) your stuff at all times. Sad as it is that we have to do this, it's better to be safe than to have your stick/controller stolen by some random when you aren't looking.

Well if your stuff goes missing, I'm pretty sure nice people like me will hold on to it and tell you on here or a PM that they found it. Everyone's pretty considerate in NorCal...cept for Tao and Shining Aquas, fucking ping-pong table breakers. ):<
