Lambda - between 5-5 and 6-4 in Mu's favor

Lambda is a great zoner, and so is Mu. Mu can zone full screen, though, and she rushes down much better than Lambda, and since Mu has a reversal, Lambda can't stay on you for long periods of time. Zone at max range and rushdown hard with steins to support you and this matchup isn't too hard for Mu. Just make sure you jump high enough when placing steins that Lambda 4D won't hit you out of stein placement. Also, be wary of Lambda's 236 series. Zone intelligently.

Discussion transfer.

Lambda is a great zoner, nay the best zoner in the game IMO, but i feel that Mu's tools are more transitional, as in they really only serve as a cover fire, not something that you should use to play all match on the other side of the screen lol. I think that Lambda has an advantage due to her drive having a hitbox on activation, compared to the stiens having to wait a bit before lasers come out. the 236 series is a problem if the mu gets preoccupied with stein placement, and if she blocks a sword then the laser followup wont come anyway. mu does have more range with the stiens and her C seems like it should beat all Nu's normals with its range, plus it a blocked C gets Mu in. but stiens are best for oki, not zoning. If Lambda can force long range pressure early, she negates the usefullnes of Mu's reversal, and prevents those tiny lasers from being too much a problem. But if Mu scores a knock down early sets up stien oki and continuously goes for more oki then Lambda can really do anything about it so I feel as this matchup is more even due to its dependancy on who can force thier game on the other the most.

It's also worth to note that lamda's blind spots are huge in her sword zoning, so it's always enough to time to throw a few steins out. Also if you manage 236d with 4 well-set steins it'll just eat up all the swords she tries to throw and you have your ticket in (remember: well placed).

I'm interested in where these sword blind spots are. Full screen steins will get punished with 4DD. Jumping steins get punished by 6DD. Ground steins not full screen get punished by 5DD.

5D goes straight, 6D goes at a 30 (ish) degree angle, and 4D at about 60. The bling spots are in between these angles. If your full screen you can hover in these spots and set stiens. your lasers go full screen, Lambda's swords don't. They will force her to move or block, either way you get an opening to move in.

Lambda can just dash in or jump in to hit Mu while she is setting up steins. She might be able to get them off, but steins have such a massive recovery time she will get hit. At full health it might be an okay trade off at least.

Also, full screen, I don't think Lambda can close the gap before you recover from a stien or two. Plus stiens are Jump cancelable, so provided you have a jump left they are fairly safe. The goal is to get lambda in a position where you have the advantage, in guard stun, hit, or at a closer range. If you knock her down, your chances of winning go up astronomically.

Bad idea. I've gotten hit WHILE summoning steins by swords.

Imo, you're better off rushing down lambda. If lambda ever does 214d or 214dc it's a free 6c FC for Mu. But idea is that you want to gain momentum and get a knockdown so you can summon steins. That way you don't get shot while doing it. It's a really weird match up imo.

lt's not hard for mu to get to lambda, at all. any two properly placed steins will almost guarentee a rush-in from anywhere, anytime. And Lambda's swords cant stop mu much, In fact she can zone or run away either really due to ame no totsuka and just plain stein placement.

Wow. Damn this is like the haku vs mu match, except haku is mu and mu is lambda... wut

So i fought a decent Mu for the first time yesterday and after i got tiered of destroying her with Tager i picked Lambda (1 of my subs) and i don't see how this matchup is in Mu's favor, the only place where she felt like a threat was close range. At long range and mid range Lambda has the advantage imo, steiners at full screen = 4D for Lambda which should give you enough time to put up the sword wall which lets you get into mid range, here, everything Mu does is punishable with either 5D counter hit into 236C or just 236B counter hit which leads to a combo. The Mu i fought might not been the best, but she had sick combos and nice rushdown.

Steins not set up: Mu < Lambda

Steins set up: Mu > Lambda

Both have punishable drives. Mu has a much better DP. Lambda has very little options defensively, so take advantage of that.

I'm pretty sure Mu wins this match. Not only does she have to worry about the godly range of Mu's j.C, but Mu just out performs her in too many ranges to make it really fair for Lambda. Lambda has to constantly move forward in this match while Mu can simply move forward or move back and be in an advantage. As far as I can tell the only thing you have to really out for in this match is her tackle and her high damage.

Mu gets pressured pretty badly through zoning at mid long range honestly from what I've played. Once the momentum is with lambda it's really hard to break out from the pressure.

When Mu tries to setup steins long range it's pretty easy to interrupt and gain advantage.

Lambda has to watch out for her pokes but they're not too hard to deal with, except for 6C.

Matchup seems to be entirely based on who gets the momentum first.

l would say 5.5 Mu's favor at this point, no higher. lt's pretty even but Mu still has tools on Lambda.

One thing I'm not sure is how 6C will play in the neutral game, since the people I play don't really use it all that much seeing that it's so bad on whiff. :P

Okay, so my little brother is raping me by only pressing C and D. His tricks are easy bypass with my Ara, but I'm helpless as Mu.

Help.
