mAc Chaos Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 This thread is to discuss the Hakumen VS Mu-12 matchup in BBCS. All comers welcome.
psycofang2 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 ive fought a few of the "better" MUs and all i got to say is that either 1: they will come straight at you for a knock down into steiner set up or they run away for set ups. her lasers are almost useless unless shes up close otherwise i play an easy game of mario and kill her for it (mario meaning jump over or duck the lasers) it all depends on 2 seconds after the steiner is set and you last position then just go the reverse. if you were in the air dont jump again the laser will pass etc. now if shes close thats another issue you gotta worry about an overhead and a laser in the ass. i would advise blocking high since from my experience i have yet so see or get hit by a laser that hits low. the primer breaking laser can be Dd to save your primers but you have to react quickly to which D button input needs to be done and at what correct timing. her 6C is a "physical" hit yukikaze will work on it. if you are a jolly barrier maker vs her like me then j2C is actually your friend here when you time it correctly also if a steiner is facing directly at you at a horizantal position (MUs standing 5D for example) a correctly timed 4C or 5C will cut it into a barrier depending on where you want it to appear. her jC vs your JC feeels even imo hers usually beats mine so instead i go with something faster or jD. her Blessed Miror DD can be safely yukikazed for pretty much free damage if you turtle otherwie block and close in as safely as you know how. Wisdom of the Divine DD is a blockable DD. yukikaze works on it too because of its "physical" properties she will get frozen. but all in all shes not that dangerous if you pace yourself correctly. if they are running and spammind her air Ds time it so that the lasers will miss and smack her out of the air during the recovery. thats all i got for now. correct any mistakes please.
MisoSowee Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 6c is a projectile hit. For the most part mu can jump over yukikaze if you use it on her yata no kagami. Depends on how the steins are set up though. For Omohikane you're better off blocking it and just punishing it's pretty awful on block.. Save a ton of meter, get corner push, etc. It's also good to note that her laser auto-tracking is not very good. It'll shoot where you were like a second or two ago. IAD will pretty much clear you out unless you're right next to the stein. If you get knocked down and mu tries 5d 4d 214d just use your d and there goes the brunt of mu's oki. Imo the matchup is 6.5-3.5 to haku. Lasers do nothing and Mu's mixup is practically nonexistent if you learn how to block her 6b overhead. Mu's j.C will be beat out by haku's j.C for the most part as well :[
psycofang2 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 6c is a projectile hit. . QUOTE] dat go yukikaze MUs 6C in training mode she gets frozen. doesnt that count as a physical hit?
psycofang2 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 then what in the name of god is it? yukikaze freezes her but sledge kills it...specail stuff there. special stuff. but haku cant barrier it.
Spark Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Uh, it's considered physical and projectile. Like a lot of Noel's C and D moves or Hazama's chains and 236D.
Sophisticat Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 I've just played against a very good Mu, and I must say that this match might just be near impossible. Granted, I don't really know how to fight Mu, but I stand by the fact that this might be equivalent to CT Nu if her blockstrings are air-tight. Mu's mix-up is actually good. Her 6b is slow, but she's got a near instant overhead in her j.C, I think. Add in orb/stein setups, and you're in for an HP-bar depletion treat. She's got good damage for her hits, too. I'll be posting up a vid within a couple days just so everyone can see what's up (I'll probably just post in general vid thread, though, since I've got two more with the guy using Lambda instead that would be good studying). Wish I'd taken more than one with his Mu, though. Overall, a real headache of a match if you ask me.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Online play doesn't necessarily mean the same for offline sophis. This vid should provide for a solid gameplay example of how to play mu: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11807822 Fights with mu star in the second match. His projectile cutting is something to be observed since it is very difficult to cut mus lasers. Same guy different mu opponent: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11478090 Would type more but I'm lazy, his use of 4c though is mainly used during the laser reflection attack, but only when he is not surrounded by the pods. If he is surrounded by the pods and if he is surrounded by them with the lasers reflecting he does a jbarrier block to avoid as much mixup game as possible. Very smart.
Big Red Tie Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 mu will try 6D and j.6D if you're blocking/cutting well since it goes behind you i believe they're slower than like 5D, so it would be a good time to IAD at them
MAdBater Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 health advantage at the mid to late part of the game is always important in all matches but mu it is really important because if you try to rush her down when they are playing the run away game will make the match really hard. Play it calm look for openings and dont worry about her being across the screen because hakumen has a lot of health and she can't chip you to death if you defend right.
