Jesuszilla Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 It just had to be. There's no other explanation as to why it sounds more awesome when it's slower. The one that started it all, slowfiction: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nw56vx55OGk slowrequiem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LtaQBQQcXg slowsin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1l7i6V2qDI
MIRACLEfool Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 True enough but I don't think it'll work with all of the songs
Remius Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Yeah...i wasnt expecting to be very impressed but i am. Songs like Gluttony Fang are so amazing i dont think it'll matter though.
Jourdal Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Couldnt we do this in the OST thread? Slowsin is sex btw
mundus Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 The intro to Lust Sin was better slow, but overall i like the fast versions more.
InfinityClimax Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I think they sound better at normal speed. The only thing that sounds better is lust sins piano segment, but just the piano.
Tsuki Garyuu Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Am I the only one who thinks that slowdown-Blazblue makes the themes sound more American metal than J-metal? Cuz that's what Blazblue should need. Hell, Nightmare Fiction sounds like something out of Amon Amarth
Remius Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Am I the only one who thinks that slowdown-Blazblue makes the themes sound more American metal than J-metal? most likely
BladeOfJustice7 Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I'm shocked at how good it actually was This
Loody Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Its good, but it makes me feel really impatient also, slowrequiem Rachel is a hottie
Saoria Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Slow SIN is....wow, my favorite slowed theme. Would totally buy if it were real. :3
Shitty Vampire Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Sorry but I really don't like any of these. The way Daisuke composed his shit is perfect the way it is.
Jesuszilla Posted August 12, 2010 Author Posted August 12, 2010 Am I the only one who thinks that slowdown-Blazblue makes the themes sound more American metal than J-metal? Cuz that's what Blazblue should need. Has anyone else felt that the intro to Lust Sin was inspired by Van Halen's "Right Now"? Slowsin kinda makes it seem even moreso... And don't get me wrong guys, I fucking love the BlazBlue soundtrack and feel they were perfect as-is. Yet when I heard Nightmare Fiction slowed down... hell that one sounded way better slower to me, personally. Then I tried it with other tracks.
Hecatom Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Am I the only one who thinks that slowdown-Blazblue makes the themes sound more American metal than J-metal? define american metal and j metal, cuz if your are defining them by the tempo, then lest just say that
njiska Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Wow i am impressed. Lust sin is pure unadulterated awesome. How much did you slow these tracks down by?
Wing Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 ahhh very cool mang now let's hear condemnation wings slowed eh?
ChefExcellence Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Do Bang Install slowed down, because it seems like it would be entertaining.
Soothesayer Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Slo Fiction sounded better until the around synthy part before the chorus, which was ehhhh. Slowrequiem wasn't too bad. a little cluttery sounding though. Like, if it were arranged it'd sound great. Slowsin sounds pretty cool. Surprised by how good these sounded. Would love to hear Marionette Purple like this..
Jesuszilla Posted August 12, 2010 Author Posted August 12, 2010 For Bang Install and Condemnation Wings, I need MP3s. My Continuum Shift CD, nor the retail Calamity Trigger CD have arrived yet, so my tracks are limited to the Calamity Trigger LE OST and the three DLC characters' themes and Hazama's with regards to Continuum Shift. Magic number I used for Lust Sin (and maybe White Requiem, can't remember, but it worked for Bullet Dance too) is 38000Hz btw, assuming you started with 44100Hz rips. (yes, I just changed the frequency) My friend is the one who slowed down Nightmare Fiction (and I dunno if he just resampled it like I did, or if he genuinely slowed it down, most likely the latter) so I dunno about that one.
