Undying Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 I'm a bit of a control freak, so I felt that Lamb-chan would naturally help me get some of that desire out and into opponents' faces . I am still a bit new with how she works, picked her up about a week ago and have learned a lot. I skimmed through parts of this thread but haven't tried any of the combos listed in them yet - I can barely get through challenge level 4 TBH... I'm still trying to get a feel for Lambchop's Air-to-Air options after launching an opponent with Spike Chaser or a move that results in wallbounce. I don't know what goes after 6DD>j.DD so I end up ending that chain Crescent Saber after the last blade hits. However, I did find a strange combo while I was checking out her options after a 4B in training mode. I think it went something like... 4B > j.C > j.2C> jump cancel >j.C >j.2C>214D (~1.7-2.6k damage) Alternatively, if you have enough heat... 4B > j.C > j.2C > jump cancel > j.C >j.2C> 632146D (~2.6-3.8k damage) I tried this combo out on Jin , not sure if it works on smaller characters or if it is easier against larger opponents. Also, you must be careful about the timing of the jump cancels after j.2C and your distance from the opponent, as the Crescent Saber may whiff if they are too far away or too far above from you (Calamity Sword tends to hit them even if they're really high up but close enough). The most hits I managed to land out of this combo was 28 hits and maxed out at approx. 2600 damage, although most of the time I was only to land about 23 for 2540-ish damage. A bit unstable, tends to blue-beat occasionally enough to make it impractical, but still an easy and viable follow-up to 4B. One time I was able to use j.DD to hit Jin a few times after the jump cancel, but I didn't get more than two swords in before he recovered...if anyone else wants to expand on these options, I would be all ears . I also picked up Lambda to figure out how to counter her as my mains ( and ), but right now she is just so fun to play around with. I didn't play Nu very much in CT, but if Lambda is any indication as to how much they had to change her to how she is in CS, I think I would have enjoyed it. Val-speak Yandere Nu is like, good for me and some junk .
germanturkey Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 your notation is a bit off. its not jump cancel but double jump. that's a well known combo as its been used since CT, but since they nerfed her c damage in CS, there are viable options off a 4b.

Alright, I wasn't aware of that actually. I also tried this on Carl and Tager and it seems to work just as well against them. This combo also prorates on counter-hit and does roughly 30% less damage. I like to use it because I happen to hit an opponent with 4B often and want to follow up with something quick. I am also trying to figure out what possibilities there are after a back throw when they're still OTG.
germanturkey Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 a good 4b combo is something like 4b > 6a > tk > 5dd > 236c > dash > 2dd > tk > 5dd > finisher. also, i'm pretty sure /\'s throws are the same regardless if its a back throw or a forward throw. normally its something like throw > dash > 6a > 5cccccc > 6c > 236c > etc. though in cs2, i've seen some sick 4b combos, but i don't remember what they are. something like 4b > 5cccc > 6c> 236c > etc.
someonewhodied Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Tager Specific combo: 5B>2B>6B>5CxN>6C>236D>236C>wait>236C>wait>236C>2DD>j.5DD>j.214D~C>j.2DD>dj.5DD>j.2DD>j.214D If someone could find the damage output for that, it would be wonderful.
someonewhodied Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 ok, then forget the first part, start the combo with a 236D~C or 236D...
germanturkey Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 does any midscreen combo actually combo into 236d~c? i thought i saw something along those lines before.
zaeris Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 nothing in Cs1 combo's into 236d or 236dc.............................. besides it does jack on air hit xD
zaeris Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 i'm talking about CS2 This is a Cs1 combo thread.......... well I suppose I should just leave it alone if people want to discuss it.
someonewhodied Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 (edited) nothing in Cs1 combo's into 236d or 236dc.............................. besides it does jack on air hit xD 5BC>6DD>2DD>2149D>236D Timing is a bit tight, and there isn't much you can do with it. Air hit =S Edit: Its a 236D~C Also, 4B>Dash>2DD>6C>Dash>2DD>6C>2DD>High Forward Jump Cancel>j.5DD>dj.2DD>j.214D~C>j.5DD>j.214D Dunno damage amount. Timing is also strange between the first 2DD and 6C Also, In corner: 5B>2B>6B>5C xN>6C>236B>RC>2C>2149D>TK Crescent Loop>TK ender. Edited April 12, 2011 by someonewhodied

For the 2nd combo, I'm pretty sure the one in the first post does more damage from the same starter. Is there some reason why this one is better? For the 3rd combo, why wouldn't you do 6A after the RC?
someonewhodied Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 For the 2nd combo, I'm pretty sure the one in the first post does more damage from the same starter. Is there some reason why this one is better? For the 3rd combo, why wouldn't you do 6A after the RC? I'm actually just trying out random comboes to see if they work or not, just for random shenanigans. And for the 3rd Combo, Well, From what I've seen and done, the 236B RC doesn't give you enought time to dash>6A and leaves the enemy too far for just a 6A. 2C barely nicks the opponent allowing you to start a TK Crescent Loop.
severin Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 236B RC gives you plenty of time to dash 6A. You can also dash 5A against everybody without RC, and non-dash 5B against Jin, Bang, Ragna, and Noel. As far as your 4B combo goes, the TK crescent combo does more, and what does even more, is the 4B 6A TK Crescent combo.
Overheat Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 I might as well add on to Sev's post since I don't believe anyone else has addressed these stuff before. X > 236B > 5A > 6A > TK > TK Loop also works, without the need of the dash 5A. Instead, the dash (if needed) is done after the first TK. Much easier timing if you're so inclined. I believe the last time 4B > 6A > TK was brought up, people said they were having trouble connecting stuff after the TK. TK8 and TK9's make it easier to connect, and dashing TK7's work as well (although too situational).
severin Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Non-dash 5A is also character specific. If I recall correctly, the list is: Noel (because nondash 5B 6A is hard on her)/Litchi/Lambda/Mu/Tager. Full list happens when I get home tonight.
Arcade Fire87 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 So---uhhh, when is this thread going to be updated for CS2 combo's?
toanenadiz Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Wouldn't it be better to create a new thread and have this one archived?
Arcade Fire87 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 When I'll have the game *looks Tuka's handle and see's PSN* lol, gotcha I was trying out some of the combo's on the psp vid combo, i'm whiffing so much of her stuff from the 5C spacing. Won't get a chance to mess around until Friday
HexaNoid Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Since you have the game already, would you mind making the new thread, Fire? As you can see we're in need of an updated one, so if you could do the honours that would be great. I'll be messing around with Lambda throughout this week, so I'll help provide combos as well.
Arcade Fire87 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I'd be happy to, but I won't have too much time until Friday I only got to test Lambda out for an hour or so in training.
HexaNoid Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 That's okay. As long as you can make the thread and update it when you have the time that'll be fine.
