Spirit Juice Posted November 12, 2010 Author Posted November 12, 2010 One day Alex won't watch anime from terrible streaming sites.
KatanaDash Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 (edited) yeah, when ever we have business guest from japan at our office in san jose, every day they want to go to in n' out, or outback steak house. Beef is sooo expensive here. So Qwerty, I bet they do tell people to go to US for real burgers, I guy on the train from the airport to the hotel asked us if we liked "ham burg." no joke. Also AJ that bowl of ramen was shoyu based, I don't remember what kind it was though. The picture is actually of the ramen ruth got. I took a picture of hers because it looked better, largely because by the time I thought of taking a picture for you, I had already destroyed most of my gyoza miso ramen. KatanaDash Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 (edited) 10kai's Johnny Cosplay "Fly Away" whose shinai is that? Sean got that kendo install? Edited November 12, 2010 by KatanaDash
qwerty Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 One day Alex won't watch anime from terrible streaming sites. i'll download it when the series is finished torrents still suck though
brett_ Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 To be fair, there are some sushi restaurants and izakayas in Nor-Cal that will rival the best that you can get in Japan. America just happens to suck at ramen for whatever reason. And videogames. mmmm.....
Whiteboywilly Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Kahoo is pretty shitty. I prefer Santouka. I mean there both in the same place so why pick kahoo.
ehuangsan Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Because Kahoo has better hours, accepts credit cards and their Shio ramen is better? Santouka is okay. Orenchi is probably the best that you can do in Nor-Cal, but they're stupid expensive.
qwerty Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 having just watched the vid in your sig ernest, it seems ksk and i share a great deal in common
ehuangsan Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Sure. Neither of you block, but at least KSK is actually skilled and entertaining to watch. Edited November 13, 2010 by ehuangsan
Spirit Juice Posted November 13, 2010 Author Posted November 13, 2010 torrents still suck though lol wat
qwerty Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 the problem is that nobody knows how to use torrents. and those who do are on private trackers running seedboxes, which makes it impossible for anyone not seeding through them to seed at all; and thus, entirely defeating the purpose of torrents.
Spirit Juice Posted November 13, 2010 Author Posted November 13, 2010 That doesn't mean you can't use them though? lol
magz Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 "Fly Away" whose shinai is that? Sean got that kendo install? That's Yuji's sword. the problem is that nobody knows how to use torrents. and those who do are on private trackers running seedboxes, which makes it impossible for anyone not seeding through them to seed at all; and thus, entirely defeating the purpose of torrents. Wut. Not quite getting you here. Feels like you're worrying about ratios when you don't really have to?
Spirit Juice Posted November 13, 2010 Author Posted November 13, 2010 You'd figure a big fat jew like qwerty would be all over FREE shit.
brett_ Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I forgive him for streaming anime; he is white.
Arvoyea Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 torrents are good for whole series that are finished, especially if the file is in good health. I also make sure to seed as long as I can.
tastylumpia Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 What is all this streaking and torrid nonsense? Real fans get hardsub VHS or laserdisk.
sakabato24 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 ... Am I the only one that actually buys my Anime/Manga from stores?
Spirit Juice Posted November 13, 2010 Author Posted November 13, 2010 ... Am I the only one that actually buys my Anime/Manga from stores? I do (if I have money) if I deem a series worthy of such.
qwerty Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 That doesn't mean you can't use them though? lol i do when i have to. but honestly, i'll take speedyshare/mediafire over the average torrent these days; most public torrents really are that slow, at least for me. as for private trackers, i just laugh at the fact that people purchase dedicated servers for seeding torrents. i mean, think about that for a minute, lol. but in any case, aforementioned retards are the reason private trackers suck these days. unless you can point me to a private tracker that doesn't keep track of share ratio and actually has exclusive content... (and trust me, i had accounts on pretty much every major private tracker back in the day; my distaste for them is not unfounded. even when i had better internet i ran into the same issue of seedboxes monopolizing upload.) torrents are good for whole series that are finished, especially if the file is in good health. I also make sure to seed as long as I can. and this is what it comes to, really. i'd much rather just wait until a series is finished and get a public torrent from tpb or something than join boxtorrents again for slightly faster download speeds- and then get kicked out for "not sharing".
STenSatsu Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I just stream. Though I'm not the type to rewatch stuff a bunch either.
Arvoyea Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 ... Am I the only one that actually buys my Anime/Manga from stores? If I can actually pay for it, yes. But I haven't done that...in awhile. orz
ehuangsan Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 This is the new nor-cal theme song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciTywk5AdKY
magz Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 words inb4qwerty complains about fios and anybody else with internet speeds faster than 1.5mbps dsl. Also, boxtorrents hasn't been account-only for quite a long while even back before the name change (guess they finally figured out how dumb a public tracker with accounts and ratios was).
