Honnou Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 (edited) LOL @ sol/chipp being rushdown. A true rushdown character doesn't have a shoryu, IMHO, and therefore REALLY needs to rushdown. Dizzy, Venom, I-no, Millia etc. Sol and Chipp are pretty ok dicking around all day. Also, Ky is a fairly "easy" character to learn, as far as GG characters go, in terms of what he does and how he plays. You learn lots of things from Ky that transfer over to other characters well, TK from Ride the Lightning/air stun edges, Zoning 101, Cheesy overheads (5d/Greed Sever), crossovers (J.s, greed sever, post-air throw mixup), good ID combo, etc...) Ky still isn't as easy to learn as Faust and Potemkin. I'd also rank Axl as one of the easier characters to pick up in GGAC, along with Jam. Edited December 12, 2010 by Honnou
brett_ Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Oh yea forgot about Axl. Hilarious. also vanfleihight i could be wrong but i think a 2 is in order somewhere in there.

vanfleihight Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Oh yea forgot about Axl. Hilarious. also vanfleihight i could be wrong but i think a 2 is in order somewhere in there. 2 What?
Arvoyea Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 These two brave warriors will go down in history as never placing in tournies again when CS2 actually hits Stay free WC lol, you talk as if we'll miss the easy to do high damage combos from anywhere on the screen. We'll relearn the game, we're not that lazy. Also, ehuangsan: It's like being in Hajime no Ippo where you're Kobayashi and everyone else is Ippo. You will be dancing around, clinching to avoid getting killed and grinding your opponent down with your wimpy ass jab while trying to win off points in a war of attrition, and then all of a sudden eating a LOL liver blow because of one miss and getting KOed. ...Isn't this Sol metagame also? Even moreso than Ky?
Dacidbro Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 zidane plays a character that ranks in japan similar to Bang, but acts like Bang is horrifyingly broken
Spirit Juice Posted December 13, 2010 Author Posted December 13, 2010 America's finest right here folks These two brave warriors will go down in history as never placing in tournies again when CS2 actually hits Stay free WC Stay godlike Zong for seconding Arakune
Zidane Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 zidane plays a character that ranks in japan similar to Bang, but acts like Bang is horrifyingly broken Zidane doesn't talk shit about how good he is and tells others how to play the game and then lose mirror matches to Tokido
ehuangsan Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 ...Isn't this Sol metagame also? Even moreso than Ky? No, 'cause Sol can actually do damage and has an uppercut that stuffs anything for free. Sol is more like apply steady pressure on your opponent until he does something stupid or predictable, then pound the shit out of him.
Dacidbro Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Zidane doesn't talk shit about how good he is and tells others how to play the game and then lose mirror matches to Tokido You know, no matter how many times you say it, it doesn't become shameful to barely lose a match to a great player. Stay free kid.
Zidane Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Well it's not shameful It's sad. Really really sad.
Kijiyama Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 LOL @ sol/chipp being rushdown. Ok if they aren't rushdown types then what are they, because i sure as hell don't see them as turtle or zoners who can sit on a life lead.
Arvoyea Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 No, 'cause Sol can actually do damage and has an uppercut that stuffs anything for free. Sol is more like apply steady pressure on your opponent until he does something stupid or predictable, then pound the shit out of him. Then why do Sol players have a hard time placing in SBO/tournaments? You know, no matter how many times you say it, it doesn't become shameful to barely lose a match to a great player. Stay free kid. Losing helps you learn more anyway, so yeah, good stuff. was rooting for you though, man. Well it's not shameful It's sad. Really really sad. Tokido's been around in fighting games longer than Dacid has. Plus he played the game apparently before SCR. So stop bringing up what has already happened, win or loss doesn't matter as long as you improve, good shit.

Shining Aquas Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 For what it's worth, CS2 actually looks like a fun game. Like, it actually feels like stuff is happening.
