Toodle's Kitty PCB makes the ChImp dual mod obsolete. It's both easier to do & provides more cool features like d-pad/ls/rs toggle on any console & easy multiconsole support. I have a ChImp dual modded TE. When I heard of the Kitty, I ordered it.

Where are they selling kitty? I dual modded mine like 8 months ago, so yeah. But when Blk mage bought his chimp, kitty wasn't present on lizard lick who usually keeps up to date on products.

Trying to find some CS2 sessions in Sj area, as much as i love seeing Rodrigo I don't think my back can survive that long of a car ride right now. I'm also willing to hold sessions anytime on most weekdays, disability is wonderful for freeing up schedules. So if anyone is willing to go to Morgan Hill I will gladly host some people.

Also, my surgery has been pushed back yet again, so I'm gonna start showing up to more events broken back and all. I miss these games too much =/

now that cs2 is out on consoles and us arcades aren't getting it, i wonder what the likelihood of a xiii cab at svgl is now...

Anyone plan on going to NCR for any reason?

Think so, but mostly to hopefully run into dudes I only know via GGPO and stuff - I'm terrible at all the main games.

in that case they shouldn't because that game sucks

also it would be killer if i could spit on a xiii cab from my house

Why are you so persistently destructive :psyduck:

in all seriousness, think about how many people would actually play cs2 arcade (consistently) now that we have it on console. you may be able to get a lot of people around on wednesdays and sometimes friday/saturday- but really, i don't see much of anyone playing bb at svgl. i didn't see much of anyone playing bb there a year ago, even.

xiii is a better choice simply because there's more interest in the game right now and there's no console release to compete with until at least the end of summer. there's even some insiders within the capcom illuminati who would like to see the game get some exposure (wiz apparently pushed for it to be at evo but since there's no console release it was a no go).

shoutouts to danny aka marn 2.0 who is most certainly reading this in a desperate attempt to get dirt on me.

I starkly disagree because KoF13 is a shitty game

Okay, but really. There actually is a lot of interest in BB right now, in a lot of regions. There is build up for the huge tournaments this summer, where BB has a 5k pot at Revelations and is a main game at EVO also. I don't know if interest is a viable rebuttal.

Still, I would agree with you that KoF13 is a better choice there, because KoF doesn't have a console and CS2 does

I also imagine qwerty means it's a bad idea given the large cost of a CS2 kit. If it was free, sure! Also, a pony!

I wish SVGL would get KOFXIII or something new and shiny (or old and awesome), since I don't care about SFIV/AE really.

How much is the KOF13 board? I can't imagine it being much cheaper or cheaper than all the current games on the market.

I don't think interest is a good argument, in either case. If it were, KOF would have had a scene worth a shit in the US at any given point... which it hasn't, unfortunately.

it's not really a matter of not having players, it's more a matter of a lack of leadership and some other stuff i'm still not entirely filled in on. besides, we have the best kof scene in the country just next door in socal, and a few of those guys are moving up here soon. if there's a time to start playing this game, it's now.

point is, people want to play xiii in norcal and right now there's no way to unless you live in sf. just one cab in the south bay (even mgl) would be nice.

when it comes to local arcades, we should be focusing first and foremost on local scenes. the whole point of an arcade is to be a place for people to meet up and play without much/any prior notice, but they have to have the games people here play in order for it to be successful. and really, when was the last time anyone went to svgl to play bb? nci killed svgl (though for the better, i think) and i don't think many people here will object to that.

i mean, unless you guys ARE playing bb there still (on the same basis people played during ct/early cs) and i'm entirely wrong, i don't see why they should keep it; especially when there's another game that so few people have played (but a good amount of people want to play) just waiting to be tapped into.

I'm not sure if you weren't being articulate in your words (I'm often guilty of this too), but you were saying there wasn't any interest in BB right now compared to KOF, which is obviously false. Now you're saying something completely different to what you originally said about both communities.

it's a matter of where the interest is coming from. there is more interest in bb both in norcal and the us, but most of the people who want to play it are going to be doing so on consoles. and, in due time, that will be the case for ae and xiii as well.

honestly, given that cs2 came out on consoles first and wasn't even playable outside of japan for how many months after it's arcade release, what reason is there to play it in the arcade out here? especially in norcal where there's monthly console tournaments for it anyways.

my point is this: a cs2 cab in norcal isn't going to see much love. from my observations, the bb scene in norcal is more than content to play strictly on console and at console tournaments (which is not a bad thing at all). that cab has been collecting dust for a year now? and there's a new game that there is vocal interest in that simply isn't being given a chance. granted, if they don't feel it's a good decision business wise, then there isn't much that can be done about it; but i don't think they plan on keeping bb for much longer, either. we'll see though. maybe they'll just turn it into a marvel 3/mk9 cab and troll us all.

Yeah, I agree with what you're saying now, not what you said before. Like I said, I would put a KoF13 cab in before CS2, and I don't even like that game or would play it.
