Lol Shining Aquas saying I play the game......*cough* GG *cough* I just play one of the "easiest?" characters in the game. lol. Correct me if I'm wrong but I do feel Ky is pretty simple. It's ok Sam, just play noel. You'll do just fine. ;> By my logic, I say Qwerty plays BB in the sense that he has a main and knows what all the buttons do. I have a really low mental bar for people who "play" the game. Being good at the game is a completely different thing. Also Ky is one of the easiest characters in GG, but he isn't terrifically good so you still need to have a reasonable amount of skill to win with him.

YAT and i consistently place 1st and 2nd and we have mostly been playing GG post-evo2k10. i am no longer interested in playing melty blood, much less trying to teach new players unless they really care to learn. especially since we are currently 2 revisions behind the current version, soon to be 3. however, there is a new crew of melty blood players trying to learn the game right now. they are scheduled for next thurs and sun (aug 11 and 14) at gamecenter and southtown, respectively. i wonder who will become training dummies for who...

The one after that is probably the next NCI. Just do what I do: find your favorite character that's low on the tier list (and don't care), enter all the tournies but hardly ever practice at home cause you don't have a lagless MB setup (obviously), ask questions to things you don't know, and play the game long enough before people ask if you were actually stubborn enough to stick with a shit character. It's not actually trolling the MB scene, it's just trying to play a game at a point where it's way too late to REALLY learn it (see: MvC2). While the whole MB scene gives you advice and ideas, they will also kind of give you that scowl of "where were you when we were supporting this", but you just need to shrug it off and show them your serious face as often as you can. Where do you get three? I thought Current Code was only 2 major revisions (one for re-balance and console characters, the second for Powerd Ciel and not retarded Archetype Earth). Dakanya Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 (edited) if you show your serious face enough, people may actually be inclined to play again and teach unfortunately the effort must be mutual and you must be first to initiate and of course do your homework lol picking top tier has had mixed results ernest consistently places top 4 with his h-tohno a couple people played h-v.sion for a bit (the one you meant to mention) but had a hard time since i'm bored at school i'll list some difficulties of playing melty blood your defensive options in this game are usually ass the hitstop on moves is very short so you may need the reflexes of a cat to hitconfirm aerial footsies are a unique and foreign concept: -unlike guilty gear, you keep all your air options -there is a super double jump -there is no faultless defense @Shining Aquas: "soon to be 3" keywords: soon to be 1.07 aka princess patch is scheduled for october 1.05 is the current version with powered ciel current code came before 1.05 and after ps2 console version has not been officially announced but they are planning for a ps3 release Edited August 4, 2011 by Dakanya
