Yeah the guy who made that has had his thread up on teamliquid for awhile. But I am not sure if it produces the best results. Mainly because many variables can happen in a game that you cannot control.

What I always wanted in SC1 was like, scripts.

Like, pre-game setup, let me choose my race and my opening build order script. Then on units and structures and shit, I should be able to program simple scripts on the fly and assign them and shit. Like, lots of times (when terran marines were super good) I just wanted to tell my Barracks to build a marine if have 50 minerals and 4 free pop and not currently building anything. Or like create targeting hierarchies for units and shit.

I was that guy in Quake 1 who had a script for everything.

Except Rocket Jumping. A script can not capture the DEPTH of Rocket Jumping.

I remember Tribes 2 had too many scripts. Peeps on HV were amazed when they found out I played totally scriptless. There needs to be an RTS that allows for programmable AI, such that you could have AI vs. AI battles online and a ladder system based on who has made the best bot. It could also give online fights a John Henry sort of allure, in that being the best at the game would entail you beating both human players, and opponents designed by players.

lol my CS course wanted us to do exactly like that, write AI, and we were told for bonus points, to beat their ai with our ai consistently

I think Pat had to do the same thing. My AI course was mostly just pathing algorithms, lisp, and trying to figure out wtf the chinese professor was trying to say.
