So AH3:

- ABC -> special (-> super) actually does damage, unlike in AH1 where if you weren't looping you weren't doing nothin

- still has a strange game speed... when you aren't right next to each other it seems goddamn slow, and when you are right next to each other it's alright

- the computer is still dumber than a brick

- my memories of AH3 in Japan is that nobody was playing it. Having played it again recently, I can see why. It's probably a more interesting competitive game than BB, but buying into the weird game speed and getting used to doing weirdly timed combos is a hurdle.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm most excited about the story mode. I hear it's going to be hella tragic, like Clannad. I almost cried when I read the leaked summary. Especially when the protagonist

, named Mike, dies after giving birth to the newest business project he worked so hard on: an arcade. The arcade was to cater to gamers of all types and included all genres of games, from dating sims to first-person shooters... He dreamed that his project would bring peace and unity to all gamers, regardless of race, gender and gaming ability. But cancer struck the main character, Mike, at the most critical moment of his life, which was the birth of the arcade. In fact, Mike had been battling cancer his entire life in secret-- not letting any of his closest friends know. Only his family knows about his medical condition. His sister would often visit him during times of great pain, and during these times, Mike would not let any of his friends visit. He was so kind that he did not want to let his friends be burdened by his sickness.

When the main character

dies, Mike's friends finally meet his sister. Together, they all try to continue Mike's dream by running the arcade. The friends are now like family and sing the DANGO DAIKAZOKU song on a hourly basis. However, Mike's sister also falls sick. It was cancer, the exact same cancer that struck Mike. She also dies. Without help from the sister, the arcade fails, as there was no body willing to unite the weaboos with the rest of the gamers. The arcade dies, and all his friends weep and go their separate ways, remembering Mike and his sister in all the things they do.

The end.

gameplay leak: the story mode also offers multiple paths and story arcs. If you choose the Peter path, your character undergoes various physical changes that would enhance your battle ability. These physical buffs increase vitality (which plays a crucial role in keeping your character healthy

and alive)

, and dramatically increases charismatic ability at clubs. If you choose the Ray path, your character becomes a better gamer. Your multitasking ability greatly increases, which plays a crucial role at work. Gaming has made you more cunning and incredibly good at micro. Even if you lose your job, you could always fall back to online poker, which you would play 20+ windows of Texas Hold-em Up at the same time... and win them all. In this path, your house key would always be taken, and Ray (your gaming teammate) would be present at your house all the time playing until the sunrise.

Then there's the Long path. His path is the best in the beginning. As you become better friends with Long, he would start giving you prescription medication without cost or Dr's prescription

(at first for pain since the main character has cancer).

You become a chemically enhanced machine and excel at EVERYTHING. You become married to Elly Tran Ha, you are the president of Sony and Samsung, and you create the new and improved Guilty Gear. However, your drug addictions bring you to Prince Rupert, where Long works. You live there for several years. Your wife finds out about your drug dependence and dislikes you. Sony and Samsung fire you for living in Prince Rupert. The new Guilty Gear is forgotten because a new, shittier game called BlazBlue 2 comes out (but people play it because it's newer and has anime). You die from seclusion and drug addiction.

Other story arcs have not been leaked yet...

The "Chuck and Will forever" DLC arc has been confirmed.

I can't wait for the fanfics

WHAT ABOUT THE MUSIC END? Also I heard it isn't going to be translated so we'll have to learn moon, you hear anything about this clarence? Fuck that man I don't want to play a game with shit art and in nip.

also it's more likely that the mike story would be with a music store or something rather than an arcade, knowing mike

maybe that can be mike TRUE END

and then mike OK END will be the arcade

BAD END will be CANCER END

I heard devs trashed the Peter path because original storyboard director wanted Peter to seduce onee-chan, and then marry her. Get her pregnant and then cheat on her and leave her and her kid just to prove a point. But then MC didn't like it so he's trying really hard to prevent that path from being put in the game.

ray: what was that video supposed to be alluding to? Yuan said it reminded him of something from ME2, and for me the only thing that comes to mind are the videos that you can access from the Shadow Broker's lair (the sound effects sound vaguely similar).

press release: sister to depart tonight

OH SHI-

tearful airport ending confirmed

TELL ME NOT TO GO

Alternative airport ending features MC saying "I won't..."

... just as the true love arrives at the airport at the last second: "... because that's for somebody else to say."

Followed by classic 80s-style still-shot with slow zoom out of MC walking away with his eyes closed and a grin on his face while the reunited lovers in the background tearfully embrace.

The Brett Favre of the NHL.

Hmm but Brett Favre recently filed retirement papers with the NFL (will he have another tearful conference?).

Perhaps it is a case where one rises as the other falls.....
