hahahaha yeah the zombie dugtrio is hilarious. the golem and snorlax are total nightmare fuel, and gabe makes a great point about snorlax's mouth taking up his whole face. charizard looks like devil gundam or something and the magnemites are totally mini-tie interceptors. mewtwo, rhydon, and nidoking are certifiably boss but I think jasmine's steelix really comes out on top in this picture, the art style is perfect for it.

also, red, sure, giovanni, ok - but why jasmine? maybe the steelix was just too awesome to pass up.

also RAY the character limit on a name in starcraft 2 is 12 long and they don't accept numbers or punctuation of any kind. just had to settle for TpacShakuras. fuck oh well

So I've been playing LoL again.

Some interesting things about it that I never paid much attention to:

- attack speed does not increase with level.

- all movement speed items stack... in fact, unless something says "UNIQUE", it stacks additively. This leads to funny builds like 3x of this thing that gives +atkspd, +movespeed, +crit chance, which scales surprisingly well considering that all of its bonuses stack additively.

- it's kind of nice how well casters in the game scale over the course of the game, but it's very annoying how none of the spells show what percentage of Ability Power the spell will actually use.

- some of the "suggested items" are really weird. For Sion (a melee tank whose nukes are not spammable) it suggests that magic penetration boots...

- the way the buy menu buttons scroll is kind of annoying, especially when you are just browsing it

- kog'maw is a fun hero to use

- items that have no upgradability are a cool idea, one which dota touched on once with that axe that gives bonus dmg vs. creeps and can chop down trees

- it takes an almost comical amount of effort for some hero combinations to kill Morgana

- determining whether buying a whack of Philosophers Stones versus buying damage/mana/whatever items to help farming is going to require some math. The 5 Philosopher Stone build on Ashe with focus put on her +gold per creep kill skill does make for some comedy as she can't kill jack for the longest time, then suddenly has all the items in the world.

- the way item auras stack is kind of interesting.

It's kind of weird how it feels like it takes a lot of work to kill anybody in the game for the entire early part of the game, and then once the mad item stacking gets going people start dying fast.

ray/others: the trip is gonna be december 25-29. we'll try to leave late on the evening of dec 25 (8pm or later) so people who have shit to do with family on christmas day can get it done. stay for 4 nights (25-28), ski for 4 days (26-29), depart kelowna late in the afternoon of the 29 (4-5 pm?).

looks like we'll have a pretty sizable turnout so I'll be getting quotes on a private cabin or townhouse (our own hot tub yeeeah). we'll either be taking greyhound or flying - not sure if people have preferences as flying is obviously more expensive but won't involve 6 hours in a bus. tentative guest list is as follows:

we can fit like a dozen people in a cabin, which is nice. I'm calling big white for some quotes today but they have a stay 3 get 4 promotion going on so that should be sweet. cost-wise, the breakdown will look like:

- transportation. $100 for greyhound, ~$250 by air. plus shuttles to and from the hotel for about $15/person each way, so add $30

- room & board. ~$150 with the promotion

- ski passes. $160

- rentals. most people have their own decks and I can provide two setups if need be, so hopefully this isn't an issue

which puts us at just over $400 by greyhound, $550 by air. might have people arriving separately if some decide to fly and others decide to bus. I should have a more accurate quote later today.

I'm not going to be posting anymore at neogaf about this since I think I had enough of my second run of 15 min of internet fame. Ironically enough this second run is once again related to MvC3! The first run was like almost 10 years ago when my friends and I teamed up with Madman's Cafe to produce those MvC3 photoshops. =)

Anyway I was not given a list, I compiled that list from my source, who actually played a more complete build of the game with all that awesome stuff. It is pretty much the set build, not counting any DLC plans, the build he played did not have Jill or Shuma as they are just DLC planned.
