Xrd doesn't have lobbies - but it still has rooms. It's likely that it'll be similar CSE or Love Max with a list of player rooms. +R, CSE, and Love Max all use Steamworks in some way because you can invite people through the friends list. There's no reason Melty won't be the same.

Fair enough, last arc product I bought was #reload on steam. Melty base netplay client is ass though so I won't see any reason to use it over cccaster unless by some stroke of a miracle they incorporate it in the steam release.

Glad to see it finally releasing properly though frenchbread deserves the money and I'm more than happy to be able to purchase several copies, will hopefully spark up interest again and encourage more people to pick up the game.

I'm definitely picking this game up. I like the way C-Hime looks. She seems like a Vatista predecessor in a lot of ways.

I heard the steam version would be an HD remake. Is this true? If so I'm really psyched.

Hime: That's what you get from thinking about a Touhou character and putting it in MB.

And no, there's no HD remake, but an oficial worlwide release of a game that technically wasn't released out of Japan.

OK. Someone told me it was an HD remake. That's too bad but whatever. It still looks pretty fun.

Man, I just wish it was actually more news on Melty's steam release here than just casuals, ranbats, and tourney matches. >.>

But oh well, that's gonna have to wait later, I guess.

Steam version is still to be announced. The only way to play is through the Cccaster 3.0.018, do you have that version?

Basically is a fan-made Netcode power-up, because the original netcode is pure shit.

http://www.meltybread.com/forums/melty-blood-auditorium/cccaster-v1-0a-netplay-client-for-mbaacc-1-4-0/

Now, for the three nunmbers you'll see when you connect to another player in the Cccaster, the formula goes like this:
1. We have three numbers: Network delay (this one is showed by the Cccaster), Rollback frames and Input delay.
2. Network delay = Rollback frames + Input delay
3. Firs the Cccaster asks both players to type the Rollback frames, enter, then de Input lag (only numbers) and enter.
3. The maximum playable value for Rollback frames is 4, and for Input delay is 7, so the maximum playable Network delay is 11.

If you have more questions just ask me.

Thanks very much. Are they still working on character guides? I havent seen anything on Miyako and some other characters.

Those guides are made by players (not by Novril), and it seems like the hype for the is gone. If you know someone that wants to make a guide or knows a lot about any character (that lacks a guide), just contact Novril https://twitter.com/novriltataki
