What aspect of Bangs gameplay should I prioritize? Blockstrings, Pressure, Traps, BNB's ect.

Which is the most essential to Bang as a whole, what should I learn in order to take Bang beyond Netplay?

*To clarify. I'm familiar with him. I just want to level up a lot more*

Me myself maining all depends on your match up. Usally you want to knockdown your opponent. Also Command grabs, regular grabs, knockdown into steel rain (Daifunka reset if you can.) Basically keep your opponent guessing on knockdown and if a guy DP or DD on wakeup BLOCK and 6C or 5B and repeat the process.

So, having only played casually with my friends, I've recently taken up some net play. Let me say, it really isn't going well for me. Pressure strings are REALLY tough for me to cope with, as I keep trying to exploit openings that aren't there. Does anyone have any advice for when to interrupt a string, or how to reset after a string is over? (Usually I just get stuck on the defensive again.) Would it be advisable to learn each characters BnB so I have some knowledge of when their strings have openings?

Defensively, Bang is one of the weakest characters because he lack any time of Anti Air or Dragon Punch without meter (Ashura). This means that one needs to rely on the system mechanics to end the opponent's pressure (this includes Barrier, Barrier Instant Block, Counter Assault, and so on...). When you get more comfortable with blocking an opponents strings, you might consider trying to instant block and then jab or dp depending on the situation.

Does this make sense?

Definitely. Gonna need to work on my instant block skills now, as I've mostly been using it to get heat (usually against lambda's c-spam, etc.)

I feel really dumb for forgetting that IB gives less block stun.

Why block when you can you 6d ? lol Well..... sometimes I guess. 6d is not all is not a free get out of pressure move but If timed right It can be very useful. Take that ragnas dead spike lol

Every time I 6d I get hit by auto-turnaround. Also relevant: I have never once seen a Ragna use dead spike.

He means when he teleports he gets hit. The only way solve this to get used to delaying the timing (training mode verse ranga record his normals or the ones you were hit with and practice using all your drives.

What's the general idea of dealing with frkz? I should probably ask specifically about my characters, but there HAS to be a non-matchup specific way to deal with it to a certain level. :vbang:

If I have further trouble I guess I'll ask in the Haz and Jin forums.

Mash big air pokes and antiairs? Hope for a CH?

Let's be honest it is his goku mode. And unlike the rest it makes his mixup and movement so much better you can't run away xN.

Uhm...Well.

Nope. Just don't get hit.

The way you deal with it is by killing him before he gets a chance to use it.

It's like letting a control deck in Magic build up 20 lands and get a full hand or someone to mass Carriers in Starcraft. The match was over way before that.

Thank you for that practical ass practical midscreen command grab rapid combo rei :3

I swear I saw Dora do it a long ass time ago, but I figured it out. Tried to put together a ton of practical stuff so I could watch this again once we're all playing BB7 and remember how to play Extend.

Also I only play on PSN, but even then I avoid netplay like the plague :p
