Fluck Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Almost everyone got castrated, just so you know. Jin and Valk = lol, Haku lost all his shit, Arakune 3k in curse?!?!
iw2ma Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I agree with that Arakune change entirely. The only other change i would've have accepted is the same one they gave Lambda. REMOVING HIS ASS
mAc Chaos Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Ragna gonna be S tier again when everyone else gets crippled and he is just the same lool I'd rather have him be S than other characters though.
kaeru Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 This is what i was trying to say earlier, everyone got their combos shortened up, it's not Bang specific in the least. Watch and see what they add in the second location test. Here is a random thought: if the seals are still special cancellable it might be possible that FRKZ will allow for an abare combo that goes into all 4 seals and then combos into his new final distortion. How MANLY will that be if it pans out? Personally, i am hype for the new game and the changes. Combos are too long for everyone in this game.

YukiBlue Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 The 'Ryu' of any game shouldn't be S-Tier ever.Yeah this. High tier is fine, but I think it's fundamentally wrong to have the "Ryu" S-Tier. It has the perks of knowing the matchup for the inevitable surge of them. But It's just not fun. OR interesting, or innovative. I'm cool with shorter combos. But not this short. What the hell can we do on Litchi now?
Lucalibur Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Not my fault I'm to blame for not noticing your SRWish name before! Jin is more of a ryu than Ragna IMO, but I don't think any of the 2 should be S tier anyway. Now, I know we lost a lot of crap on the first loketests, but maybe we will gain a lot of stuff on the second ones? Wishful thinking, given ASW's history with BB's balancing(aka nerfing everyone to death), but I will bet on it for now.
BangisMyHomeboy Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 (edited) So there's a video of Bang gameplay and it looks like you can 5A,5B,2B,6C,JD, 623B and in the corner you can follow that up with 2B for a relaunch If it's not against rules I'll post it here. Also the audio isn't that great but it sounds like Reppu is getting a remix. Now I'm hype. Edited August 17, 2012 by BangisMyHomeboy

Chaoschao222 Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Whoa whoa whoa whoa waitaminute, I just heard DORA BANG pallet is gone, is this really true? I'm sorry for you guys' loss....
BladeOfJustice7 Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Is there at least another purple palette, or there is absolutely NO PURPLE WHATSOEVER?
YukiBlue Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 My heart goes out to Dora...That's the biggest nerf in BB history.
Starlight777 Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Without your favorite palette, you just feel naked. That is one demoralizing nerf to receive.
.:TM:. Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Guys, I'm pretty sure the loketest didn't have all the colours, only four colours I think?
iw2ma Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Guys, I'm pretty sure the loketest didn't have all the colours, only four colours I think? The fact that 1 of the four wasn't Dora color is already an insult
DaiAndOh Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 Hmmm new super.... I AM THE PROTECTOR IKARUGAN SKIES!

pianomaster1988 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Guys, I want your opinion about this blockstring: 2.B>j.623B>RC>IAD J.B>J.C https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6mt5cQe3Qw&feature=youtube_gdata_player I haven't seen peolpe doing it at all, so I wonder why. I have been using it and it works wonders, specially when the opponet have 2 primers left.
kaeru Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 it's a very good blockstring, i used to use it a lot when CS2 had just come out. I kind of gave up on it lately though because opponents who are used to it will mash reversal or backdash, fishing for a hole in the blockstring depending on how perfect your j.623B is. If you can get a lowest j.623B every time, it's excellent. I've more or less opted for going for 6B RC setups instead if i can confirm block early. It's a bit more reliable. going for 2B -> j.623B is also great to use on Tagers who know they can 720 between 2B and super crash on the ground, you'll get a fatal.
zeth07 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 (edited) Guys, I want your opinion about this blockstring: 2.B>j.623B>RC>IAD J.B>J.C https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6mt5cQe3Qw&feature=youtube_gdata_player I haven't seen peolpe doing it at all, so I wonder why. I have been using it and it works wonders, specially when the opponet have 2 primers left. My issue with it would be how exactly are you going to hit confirm off it? Doing the j.623B implies you are either going for a FC or you fully expect them to block it and immediately RC into IAD j.B. You would have to properly wait to see if it actually FC's them to go into a good combo and NOT RC to waste it. Which means that RC>IAD j.B wouldn't be as tight as you might hope for. If they don't get FC'd but get hit anyway by the j.623B you would probably be RCing into j.B>j.C anyway which means you just spent 50% for barely any damage. I also don't know if they would have time to jump after the blocked j.623B, meaning they try to jump out but your j.B catches them and then j.C knocks them down and that isn't exactly worth 50% either, but like I said I don't know if they can jump in time for that. Assuming EVERYTHING is blocked, it seems ok if you are trying to keep pressure on them in the corner and want to try and take a primer in a close match. But I don't see why 2B>623B>RC>5A>Whatever wouldn't be just as effective and easier to actually hit confirm. The only thing I can guess is that fishing for a FC j.623B would be good but that sort of diminishes the effectiveness of it being a blockstring with the way you would go about doing it. Like kaeru said, doing something like 6B>RC>j.B makes more sense because even if 6B hits it will combo into the j.B following the RC, so it is effective as a blockstring and hitconfirm into a real combo. Just my opinion. To really test it out I advise putting the training dummy on Random blocking and see how that goes to see how you would go about hit confirming off any of the hits. pianomaster1988 Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 I like flashy moves, thats why I like this blockstring. I will try to use it more to get FC now .
YukiBlue Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 The Bang forums are so slow man. We need to get active, share tech and make this place loud when CP lands. Please? Heck we should even do it now. Combo thread first or something. I'd kind of like a maelstrom of information that may or may not be relevant. I know it's just my thoughts but adopting the Noel forums layout would be ace.

I know it's just my thoughts but adopting the Noel forums layout would be ace. Do you mean make stuff for BBCP now as placeholders? Or rework the BBCS:EX stuff? If anything I'd say the Match-up Threads are the most important. I started to put forth some effort into breaking down the Lambda match-up with SwordOfToan, but haven't done anything with it lately due to the overall lack of interest for BB at the moment.
YukiBlue Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I think that creating a new "Template" for the combo thread should be done now for BBCS:EX, and when CP lands we can simply Re-Write the combos themselves, not the entire layout. Breaking down combos into clear and concise sections would be a lot more helpful that a gigantic list. The Matchup threads, too. I agree they are a bit barren, and I'd be very interested in that Matchup. I could easily do the same with some UK players if needs be. I feel like contributing a hell of a lot more.
