Roldy Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I should be able to, got nothing else to do on tomorrow, heh. How much is a session?BB and GG are 2 tokens per play, 3 out of 5 rounds. I think SF4 is more expensive, 3 tokens maybe? There's a token machine inside Gety, just pay as much you want. Each token is equal to a quarter.
Zeero Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Should mention that you can buy 20 dollars of tokens film the boss which is 100 tokens so each is 20 cents instead, but that's assuming you can use 100 tokens Sent from my SGH-I717D using Tapatalk 2
Quantum_of_Win Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 If he loses as fast and as often as I did my first (only) time at gety, he'll have no trouble going through 100 tokens in a night. Pro tip: know how to play fighting games before going to an arcade to play them.

Quantum_of_Win Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 You'll do better than me if you put any effort into any of the games. My BB experience before going to the failed LG tournament in January consisted of casuals with friends I'd coaxed into playing and finishing the story mode on normal difficulty (all of that done on pad). Even now that I'm living closer to a scene, school has made it so that I've only been able to attend Waterloo casuals twice in four months. It's nice to not be the only newbie in the area, but I expect you'll leave me in the dust pretty quickly given my stubborn refusal to learn any combos (/addiction to Borderlands).
Roldy Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 MTL playing P4A for anyone interested: http://www.twitch.tv/bibiquadium
magus704 Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 I'll pop by LG tomorrow after I finish my shift at 10pm. Hopefully people will still be there. Welcome to the scene Onemic. We'll see what we can do about P4U casuals. I'm thinking we might need to do A&C World since none of us have a ton of room for multiple setups where we live. Also, do you play marvel? That's the game that most of us converted to after BB died.
X-Sapphire Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 (edited) Will you be coming since Hermes might? He already said yes lol. I will drop by as well. Protip for the new kids from a wise salaryman: Don't waste your time with dead games. What you really wanna play IS SOME MAHHHVEL BABY!!! :blue::pissed:.......... (<-- this is the progression of your emotions while playing mahvel aka da bes game) Edited August 3, 2012 by X-Sapphire
unsanctifier Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Uh, I will come tomorrow but a bit later, got Warhammer 40k stuff to do. About to win a full campaign bitches.
mr.mortified Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 lol, this seems random, but I can dig. For an arcade with a dwindling popularity this thread seems quite active. Its because this thread turned into shittalk and salt. I wish i could make friday. If you guys are still playing past 1am... Stupid afternoon shift in sauga doesnt end until 11:45 Maybe we can hold casuals at moons or my place as well as a&c. Sent from my HTC Panache using Tapatalk 2

(<-- this is the progression of your emotions while playing mahvel aka da bes game) This progression is fucking genius and so true! - You first start off feeling really happy because the game is a lot of fun. - Then you get into training mode and realize you can do badass 100% combos. - After that figure out a few cheap setups to land your combos and you feel like you're the best at this game. - From there you fight a real person and start to see that your awesome setups don't actually work. - You then get hit by super scrubby shit and are confused why it's working. - Scrubby tactics continue to work and you begin to feel your blood boil. - Scrubby tactics continue to work and you're salty now. - Scrubby tactics continue to work and you're real fucking salty now. - FUCK THIS GAME!!!!! - Immediately after all that you feel like you want to kill yourself since mashing >>> your ability. - Upon further reflection you realize that you had a really fucking good time and want to play some more.

mAc Chaos Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 > HAPPY BIRTHDAY That reminds me of my friend's birthday. After we were done going out we came back and popped in CS1 since he wanted it for his birthday. We all took turns playing as Tager against his Day 1 Jin and just 360'd him over and over again. It was a man train of Tagers. He never played again.

DarkDragon Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 This is why you should reach HQ. Stop pulling a Jabir and leave training mode. Anyone find a P4u torrent?
Zeero Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 People need to stop John from going to HQ so he can play the real game which is mahvel. Sent from my SGH-I717D using Tapatalk 2
